Gap year and work reference are 2 different issues

I addressed what you asked about gap year

If they have asked for work reference and you don't have it, do a cover letter and explain that you have been self employed, you might need to provide 2 academic reference letters or one academic and personal reference letter


But a cover letter to your Uni will clarify this

You won't be needing to address a gap year because the gap between your last degree(2021) and now is less than 5years

Hi Everyone, good afternoon.
I need your advice oo.

So they sent BRP mail for my wife and daughter since 5th of march, then they sent collection mail for my wife 3 days after.
However they haven't sent for my daughter yet up till now. My wife went to their office and they told her her passport is ready but my daughter's own is not ready, it's still on DMC but I have both their BRP. Friday made it 15 working days.

What do you suggest I do, I've already booked flight after getting their BRP mails. Which mail can I send message to for the collection mail to be sent/the application tracker to be moved from DMC

To add to this,if you have your Nigerian NI please include that as your official document, you may wish to include evidence of your passport renewal application/delivery slip to show this has been done

Simply apply with the expired passport and write a cover letter explaining your reasons . You are inside the UK and applying for COS . Your passport does not get taken in the UK even if it was not expired so just write the cover letter. It will be accepted

If you paid for assisted service then you need to take your hard copies to TLS on the day of your appointment,they will scan and upload it

If you paid for self service,the you have to upload it yourself

Transcript should be fine but it also depends on the job requirements and if your employers are okay with that,

I don't see an issue, you can explain to them why you don't have a certificate yet.

Would your question be about the TB?

I assume it should be same time frame if you need to do a sputum test, I know someone on this thread earlier claimed she went to another and got it faster but I can't tell for sure.


I expect the process to be same and standard,else they start to fall out with UKVI in the future

The risk people take these days is alarming

Option 1: Return to Nigeria to avoid overstaying and reapply for skilled workers visa after collecting new passport-(as new passport is produced in UK,find a way for it to be couriered back or

Option 2: submit application with copy of NIN(as official document), expired passport, evidence of passport renewal application and delivery details and cover letter to explain what has transpired


Pray the ECO accepts this, for me this person is very unprepared

There's no priority for dependants so unsure where the biometrics fee is coming from. When you decide to use an agent you should be able to challenge the process, on this platform we encourage DIY

As a dependant you can always arrive at anytime, so you don't need additional services from TLS

Take your time, get the next appointment without paying extra and go for your biometrics

The question is what type of account do you have in the mortgage bank? And do you have control of your own funds??

Some mortgage banks offer other normal banking services like savings and current accounts.

Priority is not relevant to TLS,it is used by UKVI and the ECO knows what to do for priority application so no worries

1.It is one month from yesterday since your passport was returned, you have 2weeks left to get your IHS refunded, I would advise to wait it out and contact them from 1st week in April if IHS is not refunded by then.

2. That seems to be the preferred option, ensure the funds are for your study in the UK and not just 28days


3. No, each new application will be assessed separately however, the ECO can refer to your previous history and ask for additional documents

In this case, since you withdrew your application because you didn't have relevant evidence to back up your claim regarding your brother sponsoring you,then they might dig a bit deeper into your origin of funds since you will now be supplying your own bank statement. Be prepared for that

Good morning house,

I made a UK Tier 4 Visa Application in December 2022. Had my biometrics on 24th December and paid for priority service.
I used my brother's bank statement as proof of funds and everything else was intact. I indicated in the form that my father was late and that was why my brother is paying for my tuition and upkeep.
On 20th January, 2023, they wrote back and requested my father's Death Certificate and Legal proof that my brother is my legal guardian.
Unfortunately, we didn't file a death certificate when our father died and we were unsure of what legal proof was required to show my brother was taking care of me. On 7th February, I contacted them via call and subsequently via email to withdraw my visa application since I did not have the requested documents and I had ran out of time to report to school. My passport was returned on 14th February without a decision. However today, 14th March I still have not received an IHS refund(This is week 4 of passport return).
1. Do I write to request an IHS refund on withdrawn application? If so, how do I go about it?
2. In submitting a new application after requesting a new CAS, do I just transfer the adequate funds into my own bank account for 28 days and remake my application?
3. Can my visa be refused based on my previous withdrawal?

I presume with you getting fully funded scholarship you already know the Uni/already have a conditional offer
