I'd rather stick to a 50/50 chance because we don't know what documents he will submit and what extra checks the ECO will make.

These sorts of application with history will definitely take time and scrutiny if not additional consultation from colleagues.

His chances are high if he is 100% honest. I suggest he adds a cover letter to his application to explain what happened 14 years ago, how he has learnt his lesson, how sorry he is for what happened and how he has turned his life around.

I know someone who had a similar issue (she was deported from the UK but was not jailed). She applied years later and got back into the UK with the skilled worker visa.

He should be honest and pray for the best.

Please someone help me. I am asking for a friend. How long does it take for application to reach VAC and fedex-ed to the applicant. There is no mail received yet, but the tracking today showed the application transferred to VAC (it has been on application received by DMC for over 3 weeks till today).
Please what is the usual duration.
Will it get to VAC by tomorrow?
When will the applicant be able to get it.
The school has already started classes, and last date of enrolment is 26th. He has written the school already updating them of the situation, but yet to get feedback from the school.

Please what can be done?

But flight ticket is not included in your maintenance funds na. The maintenance funds is to support yourself in the UK.

POE questions differ, you might be putting yourself at the mercy of border patrol officers if they request to see this evidence

My honest opinion seeing your marriage may have broken down irretrievably would be to file for a divorce. It might mean that you may resume before you file for them pending on how fast the court decides.

You don't want any issues hunting you in future unless you believe you can work things out with your spouse in future.

Regardless of being in the UK or not,you need to be happy.This doesn't seem so

I have been writing and deleting because it is really personal and I really do not wish to put my life drama on a public platform but I don’t have many options , I just have to let my worries out.

I am not divorced, not separated by any court , My kids father who am I still married to is not in their lives (he is enjoying his life )

I don’t know how to take my kids with me in January . I don’t know if I should apply with them or come back for them after six months (I am afraid of leaving them) I have never been away from them.

* File for a divorce and ask for sole custody? (I feel I can get this because I have been the one paying all bills)
* Ask him to go with us, he will jump on this (this option is only on the list just to get my kids visa granted not what I really wish for cos I am really hurt )
*Ask him to sign consent letter and try to get them visa?

The duration of a visa shouldn't be a reason to do another first degree

abeg make una help me put mouth for this matter, I have a peculiar case with regards to a friend who was jailed in the canada and deported to Nigeria some 14 years ago. He has since remodeled himself and become a model citizen, raising a family. He wants to apply for a masters and intends to give full disclosure when applying for his Visa. From admission(pending on the school) all through your visa application and when you arrive at the UK (to settle your accommodation and feeding)

That is the purpose of POFs.

Why are you scared,you have an affidavit which is good. have you applied and were you refused because of this?

You can also submit your English proficiency letter in addition to your WAEC and affidavit


UK application and most things about the UK are pretty straightforward (no cutting corners)

Please I want to apply for universities in the uk, my WAEC result middle name BENNETH was written as BANNET and also dob was written as 1991 instead of 1995. I used affidavit with it for the correction. Now I'm scared i might have issues with it if I apply for schools and probably embassy might deny me visa because of the error. Please is there any other way I can go through the application? And also I have English proficiency certificate from the school I graduated from, can that be used instead of the waec result?

Escalation is actually a good thing,and you had waited past the decision time (15days afteryour bio)

I know it says wait for 15working days but chase again with a paid mail after 1week If you haven't gotten an update.

Forward this email to your Uni, start to explore the options of enrolling and starting lectures online pending when your visa is out and you can join face to face

Please do not be depressed because of this. You need all your energy and motivation to face the UK when you get here

Though I ve sent the message I got from the UKvi, here last weekend but then I didnt know the effect of what happened until now, I did biometric on Aug23 and on 8th of sept (17days) after bio, I sent paid mail to ukvi and I got this message:--

House , from the information I gathered ,it is cos of the paid message I sent before the end of 21days after biometric , that got my case escalated , I am totally down now , I didnt know this , I followed a sister that sent her own before the first time frame and she didnt get her case escalated. I am crying as I am typing this message ve gone thru a lot to get to this stage, now my school resumption is 19th of sept with late entry 10th of Oct, with this message sent about escalation coupled with what gurus of nairaland are saying about escalation, may God have mercy on me, I am depressed and worried,pls any way out of this.?

The MA had to book another flight when School insisted on 13th Sept as the last day to get to school.
She travelled through Heathrow yesterday and is in the UK now. The whole money for tuition and maintenance is in her account.

What documents will the dependants present if asked about POF? Dependant will be travelling in one week time.

It will be ideal to do so and possibly provide rent agreement in addition to your BRP and passport etc from your end

He also needs to include details of where he will stay and also closest post office to collect his BRP.

If you can't then I assume it should be okay,

Incase you get an NSF on this you may wish to collect a letter from your relation saying they are happy to accommodate you

2. It may be requested so have it ready just incase but for his application he should submit his own. Yes it can be naira
