You are absolutely a novice on traditional and cultural matters of Igbo land. I honestly believed you are Osu period. Anybody who claimed a parentage of “traditional ruler” whether rotational or hereditary and can not discern “Chief” is not an Igbo title and looked miserable separating the position of Nze and Eze in Igbo land does not deserve the prestige accorded to Diala.

To be candid, you are a demented loafer and have no business joining issues where Osu, Ohu, Nze, Eze, tradition and culture in Igbo land are discussed. In fact, you do not understand the difference between Osu System and stigmatization. For example, slavery is long dead in USA but the end did not stamp away the stigma associate with the practice. This is same as Osu in Igbo land especially when marrige is the focal point.

I had myself to be blamed for arguing with dimwit who claimed Chief/Nze is a “traditional ruler” in Igbo land.

You did not need to rant about your ignorant love for anything alien to Igbo land since you claimed a “modern man of 21st century”. What a dullard. The more you rant, the worse you look as wastepipe.
You believe I am Osu? Ok, I am one. So what. If you meet me on the street, can you tell from my looks and intelligence? I believe you will rely on your illiterate father and grandfather, who probably are walking bones, that is if they are not already dead to do a background check and tell you who is, and who is not an Osu. Does being an Osu affect looks and intelligence? You live in the past.

Anybody who claimed a parentage of “traditional ruler” whether rotational or hereditary and can not discern “Chief” is not an Igbo title and looked miserable separating the position of Nze and Eze in Igbo land does not deserve the prestige accorded to Diala.
Lol, what is Diala? A name that makes you feel like you are a king without a throne? Prestige accorded to Diala? LWKMD. What prestige? Prestige to eat the scrotum of a cow? Civilisations are busy inventing things to advance the human race and you talk of prestige bestowed on you in your tiny little village? Diala, please don't call me one. I mean if you go to the USA, which you mentioned in your post, and you are asked to proudly educate them on your superior "Dialaness", and your inferior other, the "Osu", how would you do that. Do you realise how s.tupid you would look? The line quoted above makes you look like the i.mbecile you really are.

In one of your posts, you said that my father was a king. Well, doesn't that make you a mo.ron? Is "king" then an Igbo title, judging from your post? If at your age, you can not discern that Nze = Chief , and that Eze = King, then as the the saying goes that a f.ool at forty is a f.ool forever, I can only assume that you will remain one.

By the way, who is a traditional ruler by your definition? What is tradition? When did Eze come into existence? You know very little. In my society, we have nothing like a hereditary royalty cos everyone is. And Mr. Diala, frankly, you need to evolve. Try not to die in your ignorance.

What the hell is it with Nigerian girls and weave-on, wig and attachment? Do you notice how all but one or two of the girls wearing ridiculously long and unnatural looking hair? I fuking hate that and the way they paint themselves. It makes them look f'ing ugly. I had a gf back in the days. Her hair is long and she was beautiful. One day she had this ugly weaveon on her hair. I asked her to sincere tell me the weaveon and her natural hair which was more beautiful and frankly, she felt ashamed at my question. Most of those girls, with their fake hair and war paints would probably look more beautiful with their natural looks. By the way, shouldn't beauty pageantry be about natural looks? Otherwise, wouldn't it be equivalent to going for an ikebe competition with a nyash padded with pillow and winning?

I nearly fell off my seat laughing at the hairs/looks of
Chantelle Unachukwu : hair and paints looks fugly (f'ing ugly)
Awefada Ovoke & Chidebe Joyce Ngozi: hair is ridiculously long, at least for an African.
Florentia Nneka Agu & Gbemisola Shotade: WTF?
etc, I tire to analyse the rest.

If I say you are a douche bag, it will be an understatement. A ruler is a monarch or even a dictator. Apparently monarch is a royal entity. You have reiterated about your father who is a “traditional ruler” maybe Eze or Obi or Igwe yet you would want us to believe that traditional ruler is a dogcatcher in your community. No wonder you are on the goofy lane about the difference between stigmatization and creation of Osu.

Recently in Igbo land, the culture and religion that produced Osu and Ohu are no longer practiced or obtainable. However, the landmarks created by such indulgence of our forefathers are still with us. The practice that saw Osu stopped with the killing of twins as you have alluded.

The only institution in Igbo land that still tends to Osu and Ohu is marriage and I have to state categorically madness, devoice, criminality, thievery, harlotry, sickness, etc are also factored when marriage is discussed.

Now for umpteenth time, will you marry a girl stigmatized as Osu since you are still a chronic bachelor by your own admission? By the way, the manner you have being using cause words indicated you are a borderline wayward since at this miserable age you remained a bachelor. I guess it is an Osu thing.

Please help to bring enlightenment to Igbo land which could lead to eradication of Osu people or the stigmatization by setting your junk body on fire at government house in Umuahia. If you can not indulge in the simple request, then you are empty as your Internet rants.
I do not recognise royalty in Igboland, the term traditional ruler is acceptable to me. Royalty implies that others in the community are lesser men, and that is not obtainable in my society. A traditional ruler, in my place denotes a Chief/Nze and an Eze, which is a temporary position. Royalty is passed along the family, like the Saudi Royal family, British royalty, etc. That is why I do not quite using the term royalty. Hope that has sunk into your coconut head.

You are a confused man. As I said, in one past, you claim that Osu system is dead, and then you claim again it can never be eradicated. Doesn't that show your lack of understanding? Set myself on fire? No, not really. Although I do not stand for violence, it would be nice if such a method could be use to get rid of people like you in public places. I hope you don't instil this kind of hatred into those children who unfortunately happen to be yours.

I should think so, if it took her 11 years to have babies after marriage then body system and hormones are not functioning normal. This story is possible because people are known to have eight babies and carry pregnancy for over a year and still have healthy babies. Besides a simple DNA test would have been done to confirm the babies were hers and the hospital investigated with statement from Doctors before this story went public.
This story defies logic and a simple reasoning will tell you it is a complete lie. Why can't people think? She deliver 8 babies in 11 months? Here is my response to that:
1. How long does it take for a baby to mature?
2. Does it occur to you it is not possible to have babies, maturing independently separated by one month of each other?
3. The doctors who delivered the first, or the second, or the third, would induce the delivery of the rest, or carry out a CS because they would believe (let's even assume that they are wrong in their assumption) that they all were conceived the same time.
4. The hospital where this happened would be the first to talk about it. Hell, somebody can get a PhD or more writing a scientific article to explain it.
This story doesn't add up, and anyone who uses "divine intervention", and the "God works in mysterious ways" crap to explain this is a m.oron deserving of the Darwin's Award for stup.idity.

pro01:
I don't know what is an "insult" about Clinton's light hearted comments. Besides, Bill 'the charmer' Clinton has long been reputed for his good nature and hearthy sense of humour - even at the highest levels of politics and diplomacy. If a person says "Your hats are always cool" and yet you feel insulted, then it can only mean that you believe your hats are really not that cool (which leads one to ask: if you're not convinced about their 'coolness', then why wear them at all?). Secondly, the excellently witty comment: "if I'd had a name like Goodluck, I might still be in office" can only be interpreted as a tribute to the extraordinary good fortunes experienced by the bearer of that name. Choosing to interpret such a comment as an "insult", essentially means that one considers the bearer undeserving of the name - or of the unprecedented good fortunes associated with the name. My God! Is that how insecure and paranoid we are as a people? Some of ya'll need a heavy dose of chill pill.
efisher:
I can't believe some of us are so crude! How can we take this joke as an insult? Some of us would have replied Bill Clinton with a slap abi? Or frowned and cursed him! I guess a lot of us do not know anything about the Americans. No wonder we have so much hate within us leaving no room for humor.
Really sad I had to read almost to the end before I got to see any sane comment. Judging from what I read here, one can conclude that over 80% of Nigerians are re.tards. If Clinton has little or no regard for Jonathan, he would simply ignore him. The fact that he spoke of what he thinks of his name and the "good luck it would have given him", and what his wife thinks of his attire, even if they are all lies, are attempts to accord him recognition. Why is that too difficult for folks to understand? These guys need to learn a thing from other cultures.

For the sake of argument, are you married  to Osu if not, would you marry Osu? I wish your true identity could be known. My people say the child who called the mother ugly equally termed the father silly.

I am of the view you are wishing death to your so-called royal father because you will only marry to an Osu over his dead body.

I have feeling you are an Osu and the crap about royally parentage is goofy stuff associated with internet rant. Believe me; I am surprised punkas.s such as you have not committed suicide to protest the stigmatization of certain people as Osu in Igbo land.
You make me laugh. Where did I say my father is a "royal father"? I have asked you this before. There is a difference between a traditional ruler and a royal father. In my place, there is nothing like royalty, everyone is. Royal fathers are mere political office. My father is a traditional ruler, you can ask your dad what that is if you are too young to understand it. I am not married. As to your question as to whether I am an Osu, I thought you said it no longer existed grin. Is this your admission of its existence? Are you confused?

Ok, I am not ducking your questions as you have been ducking mine, so I will answer them.
1. I am not an Osu. However, that stuff is bollocks and I wish it never existed. It is simply wrong to have been invented, and even more wrong that it is being kept alive.
2. You are right, marrying an Osu will totally devastate my dad, who I owe a lot to. Will I marry one? I wish I had the courage to give a definite answer. I can easily tell you yes that I would and lay it to rest. But the true answer is rather difficult, especially with people like you still in existence. It is less about me, but more about what my children and family may face. Frankly, I care little of what people think of me personally. I simply consider such people, especially the young who espouse your view as simple mor.ons. However, even if I am unable to, I do hope for a society where my children would be able to marry freely without fear of discrimination to them and their children, because people like you, who are tacitly keeping this system alive would have been extinct.

ChinenyeN:
Man you're persistent.

Your cheap, taking my first point completely out of context.
Your dumb for making such a gross assumption about me, in your second point.
Your third comment, your full of it, because you actually have a gross misunderstanding of 'Osu' (or better yet, no understanding at all), and because of this your misunderstanding, you think you have found reinforcement in any of the things that I said. You find justification in your own lack of understanding.

And like I said earlier, it's useless for me to take an actual stance. For one, it doesn't matter, and quite frankly, I don't care enough, in the first place, to take an actual stance. I'll tell you what I do have a firm stance on though, 21st-century-minded, blind-minded progressive, loud-mouth acceptance-toting. . . people. Especially when it comes to cultural topics. They tend show a vastly superior level of gross misunderstanding.
It doesn't matter? Injustice in your society doesn't matter? Discrimination in your society doesn't matter?  I guess if you were the one at the other end of the stick, you would want it to end. It does matter, because this thing affect lives, and has ruined some. And except you do not long for a just and fair society, it is important that you take a stance.  "I'll tell you what I do have a firm stance on though, 21st-century-minded, blind-minded progressive, loud-mouth acceptance-toting. . . people"

You are stuck in your ignorance buddy, I will nominate you and Dede1 for the next Darwin's Award, it reserved for the lower end of the population about to be weeded out from the gene pool. Reason for nomination: Defying the word "humanity".

Let me put those comments of mine into perspective for you.

1. I dislike people who talk too much about '21st-century' mentality or being 'progressive' and 'accepting'. It's annoying.
2. I dislike talking too much and saying the same thing over and over again. Hence, my comment to Ezeagu.
3. Most people who even open their mouth to speak about Osu know nothing about it, but they shout more than those who actually do know, and on top of that, they refuse to listen when being spoken to. Hence my heaven and earth and 'marry Osu so we can have peace' comment.

I have no real stance on 'Osu', because a stance honestly doesn't matter.
1. I dislike people who talk too much about '21st-century' mentality or being 'progressive' and 'accepting'. It's annoying.

Really, then why aren't we stuck in earlier practices such as killing twins. How else do you get rid of injustices in our society if we do not talk with "21st-century' mentality" ?

2. I dislike talking too much and saying the same thing over and over again. Hence, my comment to Ezeagu.
Yea, because you think they shouldn't be talked to since they refuse to understand, and accept the system. What else does "letting sleeping dogs lie" translates to? My understanding is that it means that the status quo be maintained. You wanna give me a different translation?

3. Most people who even open their mouth to speak about Osu know nothing about it, but they shout more than those who actually do know, and on top of that, they refuse to listen when being spoken to. Hence my heaven and earth and 'marry Osu so we can have peace' comment.

The reinforces my other comment. It is a tacit approval of the system. Are you backtracking? It would be a welcome thing if you have come to realise that this system is unjust and have no place in our society. However, I would rather you make a firm stance than dance around the bush like the other fellow who calls himself Dede1.

I really do not know what a drooling troll such as you want. It has been indicated in one of my posts that I do not feel slighted when others decide to discriminate because I do not have any inferiority complex.

Whether or not one supports Osu is irrelevant. Again, the practice that created Osu does not exist in Igbo land any longer. If such practice does exist, I shall fight against it.  It is not my place to force individuals into marriage that will involve an Osu. I did not marry Osu and should be condescendingly disingenuous to advice any Diala to marry Osu.

I know your slimy type that would blow hot air and when chips are down will look the other way.
One instance you claim Osu is dead, next you resurrect it and say it will never go away, yet again you claim you will fight it, and in the same instance contradict yourself saying you would not be "disingenuous to advice a Diala to marry Osu". All at the same time? Wow, you are better at creating confusion than any politician could ever boast of.

The practice that created Osu may not exist any longer, but individuals like you are the fire that keeps it alive. By the way, it is relevant whether one supports Osu or not, it would be dead if people like you were all dead, don't you think so? I wouldn't look the other way "when the chips are down", why I'm I responding to your post in the first place? It takes patience to respond to people whose views, or lack of it, disgusts you.
