Those pathetic nitwits who responded negatively to people who chose Biafra as preferred country and did not write a word about one Oduduwa Republic claimed by their fellow moronic imbeci.le are either stark blind or inherently bigoted.

Biafra, at least, had been a functional country for more than two years and should be qualified to be chosen by those who lived in it. On the other hand, Oduduwa Republic which had only existed as an object of infantile beer parlor discussion seemed to avoid the eagle eyes of the ninnies who appeared twisted out of human on the mention of Biafra.

Ayodele Awojobi was the reincarnation of Johann Puch the inventor of Steyr Puch Haflinger.

If you watch closely, you will notice the famed professor testing some of the protostypes of Autonov 1, no I mean Steyr Puch Haflinger.

I do not give a hoot about Sanusi’s bigotry conjectures but question his ability to give unbiased political opinion when he wrote the followings:

"Nwafor Orizu, then Senate President, in consultation with President Azikiwe, subverted the constitution and handed over power to Aguiyi-Ironsi. Subsequent developments, including attempts at humiliating other peoples, led to the counter-coup and later the civil war. The Igbos themselves must acknowledge that they have a large part of the blame for shattering the unity of this country."

What section of the constitution did Nwafor Orizu subvert by handing power over to Aguiyi-Ironsi?

It was not about oil, because if it was, yorubas should have a say in delta state but not.

Look the boundary and state adjustment was done based on the 3 main ethnic groups and vaiblity

Are you aware that the whole of SE zone is not igboland ? but was given to the SE

In anambra we have Igalas

Are you awara that the whole of Niger state is not Nupe land because of Borgu which is a yorubaland

same goes to Ondo of which there are Ijaws and Yobe of which there are hausa

it was not about oil

the SS geopolitcal zones was done to favour the Ijaws by OBJ, guess why ??

because of the much complain of the oil spilage etc also why do you think OBJ fough tooth and nail for GEJ ?

Let me remind you of IBB and the yorubas as well. till today the Swerener and Kwaraisn are still very bitter. because he divided Kwara into 3 places making them a minority in 2 states which is Kogi and Niger.

Rivers today was done by saro wiwa's wishes not Nigerian.

thus it is not reallu about Oil
Sometimes I wonder why few airheads will navigate to this forum complaining about bigotry and tribalism. I guess you termed the boundary adjustment of 1976 as a tribal machination by Obasanjo led federal government of Nigeria. Whether the whole of SE zone is Igbo land or not, the states such East Central, South-eastern and Rivers States were not warring over a piece of land in 1976. Besides the boundaries between the states were very culturally demarcated and traditionally observed to the point there was no need for any boundary shift.

Thanks to Pa Omoigui, unlike his son Nowa, has no intentions to tilt facts to meet his political ends. The 1976 boundary adjustment program was all about crude oil especially when it was initiated by the empty-headed foo.l named Obasanjo who had, on many occasions, said Nigeria/Biafra civil war was all about crude oil. If there were boundary issues among states in southwestern region of Nigeria, he, Obasanjo, should have been correctly adjudged for setting up boundary adjustment commission on southwestern region not in the southeastern region where there was no boundary issues whatsoever.

The only redundant foo.l in all the posts is the donkey that posted Porsche dealership complex to impress his or her deluded self. Porsche is a foreign private entity and when it decides to expand its operation to other parts of jungle called Nigeria, it will erect the same facility as the one in Lagos or Abuja, if any. Why would someone with even a monkey brain inject such irrelevant plank to this discussion?

Just imagine the social ugliness when a person within Nigeria’s corridor of power cites a failed organized referendum as a democratic achievement. Please can someone with a bit of brain cell inform Abati that even a successfully organized election does not equate to progress in a democratic setting.

The question has been answered in the link I provided. Even if this invention on it's own does not solve a problem, it could in addition to other ideas solve some other problems. The guy who invented plastic will today marvel at all the stuff it's being used for.

Nigerians may be very good at sneering at things they don't understand, but then that is one of the reasons we are unable to copy existing technology, not to mention creating new ones.

I mean, the Russians improved on assault riffles and made Ak47, the Israelis made Uzi. But some people made some crude replica of something already perfected and try to promote it as the height of their technological achievement! what is wrong with this picture?
The Autonov 1 was never an invention and not even a replica. It was attempted retrofit that went seriously bad. The vehicle was the invention of Steyr Motor Corporation of Austria.

LOL Elias timlis is not yoruba in fact the name sounds Ijaw to me.

Dede1, you know yoruba names don't you. He might then have been yorubaiszed person but needless to say how the one behind the Bakassi peninsula to cameroun.

During the war, Ojukwu wanted to turn the war to a gorilla war of which the soliders would run to cameroun and back back and fight later.

Gowon made a deal with cameroun to block the BAIFRA SOLIDERS (Not the people) from entering cameroun and in return bakassi would be given to them.

It was a sign deal and in fact I would loom for the document if I see it, and post it here.

this was in 1968 or so

then after the war, cameroun has been disturing Nigeria about the sign document.

Obj was reported to the UN and was given the ORDER to follow protocol and gave it to cameroun.
Taslim Olawale Elias was born in Lagos, on November 11, 1914. As far as I am concerned, he was a Yoruba and could as well be the son of a returnee.

Why do not you ask yourself what actually necessitated the 1976 boundary adjustment if not crude oil and to make sure Igbo land is stripped of crude oil producing areas? I dislike the pretence people front on the Nairaland. The boundary adjustment was draconian in nature and did not help the issue of the silly slogan of “One Nigeria”.

LOL grin grin grin grin you people are just impossible people. One day you people would choke on this your yoruba obsession o
Of course, I am aware you know Elias was Yoruba but such is not the case for many forum contributors.

Elias Teslim has been dealing in shady legal and social business before 1967-1970. He was the same Commissioner for Justice and Attorney – General of the Federation who brought trumped up charges of treason against Awolowo and others on behalf of his friend Tafawa Balewa in 1962.

He was behind Yakubu Gowon in 1967 when Bakassi Peninsula was ceded to Ahidjo’s Cameroon to make sure Biafra never had surface terrain to connect with the outside world.

Is it not funny that the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney – General of the Federation, Dr. Teslim Elias was the one to decide the boundary between Nigeria and Cameroon in 1970?

Elias, Yoruba, was the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney – General of the Federation under Gowon when the Bakassi peninsula was ceded to Cameroon under Ahmadu Ahidjo in 1967 so that Biafra’s access to outside world through Cameroon should be blocked. What does anybody expect from Teslim Elias three years later when the civil war ended in favor of Nigeria?

If not for the crude oil and Biafra issue, one wonders what prompted Obasanjo administration to set up Justice Mamman Nasir’s Boundary Commission in 1976 when the only boundary issue was between Nigeria and Cameroon.

Again, the people of Efik in Bakassi peninsula meant absolutely nothing to Elisa, Gowon and Obasanjo as this interview had indicated.

The so-called Nigerians are very funny set of people who sometimes behavior in weird manner. It is also fun to watch their clownish acts from afar. Nigeria is not configured to support a society based on social justice and law. So what is this empty noise all about?

If people are twisted out of human form because one government official who is allegedly accused of embezzlement of government fund is fiercely defended by the folks of his or her ethnicity, what stops the wily accusers to demand the disintegration of cesspit called Nigeria so that each ethnic enclave should be saddled with its corrupted officials?

I do not give a ratarse if Nigerian government official converts entire GNP of the country into a personal or family use. After all, Nigeria is what it is – a jungle.

Is there any invention without rudimentary background? In fact, the rudimentary nature of ogbunigwe is what separates it from the finished Autonov 1 from Austria the home of Steyr Motor Corporation.

It is funny the Wiki article on the Autonov 1 mentioned it was derived from Leyland jeep. This is a lesson for those people who would readily quote rubbish from Internet.

Dede1, before we deviate; we cannot call this tribalism, can we? GEAJ has a bit of Igbo in him, we all know this. Even Ibeto (a PH guy, I think) might be part Ijaw, hence, GEJ's ethnic group. Why can't he bring him up?

Innoson is in Enugu, will it not be better for him to move some his goods to a larger market. Remember Cosharis motors? His main branch is in Lagos, (a larger market of over 18 million people) and notice that his business is successful. I sincerely don't think that there is tribalism in this case. Right now, he needs people to start buying his goods. Enugu is not the ideal place (no offense). Enugu can be the HQ and all but for his goods to sell, he needs a market like Lagos.
In some cases, location of industry tends to contribute to the growth. However in the case of Innoson, the location is very close to where certain materials needed for its operation disembark, hence Port Harcourt and completion of Onicha river port.

All the vehicles sold in Nigeria were not even assembled in Nigeria. Innoson needs federal government assistance such as the one Toyota and GM get from their respective home governments.

do you know of the COCO mall built in the heart of Ibadan ?

there is no bigotry here, but Ibadan and akeokuta are far much more advance than any other capital apart from Port harcount
I am mostly disappointed with Ibadan because of its status as a former regional capital. Also, if we have to go by images of the founder and builder of Lagos as created by few loudmouths, one wonders where the charity actually began in the case of Ibadan. I guess the reverse is the case.

Even before Port Harcourt became a state capital, it will be insane to compare garden city with archaic-looking typical Yoruba town such as Abeokuta.

I wasn't expecting you to appreciate it. Afterall, it was invented by an Yoruba prof. That was a prototype like some people have already stated. You wouldn't recognise many of the products you see today by their prototypes. The ogbunigwe on the other hand was a finished, crude reproduction of what has already been made.

There are probably a thousand and one machines you've never seen, this is why I find it amusing some people are still asking what is this truck for. Expand your horizon, think outside the box.

This is the key to real development, not the baba suwe comedy you Biafrans are performing on this thread.
this is the difference, and you wouldn't hear Yorubas going on about how one of them created a different version of a truck engine.
Quit deluding yourself with the so-called prototype. Which part of the Styr vehicle was designed and produced by professor Awojobi? Which industry in Nigeria fabricated such parts? There was no part of the vehicle in picture manufactured in Nigeria talk less of the UniLag where the professor drew his checks.

In fact, the panel beaters somewhere along Oshodo/Isolo express road where "Molues" are built would have performed more honorable job than this horrible joke.

Dede1, this has nothing to do with ethnicity;after all, GEAJ has Igbo blood in him. GEJ might has well lead the way and make the decreee for us to buy Innoson cars.
Even if we have a pure Igbo president today, the status quo will not change.

He should move to a larger market and keep the HQ in Enugu, this will help him gain the necessary exposure in the Nigerian economy. He can also sign MOUs with Lagos, Rivers . . .etc; You know, to help him gain some ground and awareness among the consumers.
Sometimes I get flabbergasted when Nigerians insinuate Nigerian society is insulated from acts of tribalism. I must state categorically everything about Nigeria is fundamentally tribal or sectional. Corruption in Nigeria is the grandchild of tribalism. When few patriotic Nigerians tried to paddle the colonial contraption into a positive path, the actions of the few wise fellows were branded tribalism which set off a motion that led to civil war.

One was an invention and the other a crude reproduction of what has already been perfected.
What invention are you whining about? Please do not insult and denigrate the naturally gifted intellects of inventors by calling this odd job an invention. The Styr utility vehicle was imported pre-assembled by the Nigerian army.
