T8ksy:See my pal, a kettle calling pot black. Are you not the only human being who does not know about the genesis of 1951 carpet-crossing in western regional house of assembly after the regional election? |
Katsumoto:I hardly go with recorded account of events or books written basically on conjectures aimed at boasting egos or achieving personal interests. So keeping scores of the books quoted to support a statement is a futile endeavor. Alexander Madiebo’s account about recapture of Owerri was among such self-centered rubbish. Granted Madiebo was GOC of the Biafran armed forces, in his book and accounts of the events, he indicated to be everywhere and in every sector of the war at the same time. I had wished Col T Onwuatuegwu, Lt Col Archibong, Lt Col T Atumaka and Captain Okorie were alive. Also I had wished that Lt Col Okoi, Lt Col Ihieancho, Lt Col Ugokwe, Major Onwuka, Major Osuagwu, Major Igweze, Major Ikeji, Captain Iwuagwu, Captain Ebbe, Captain Okwusa, Lt Akpan etc could have written the accounts of the recapture of Owerri, I believe their accounts of the event would have collaborated my accounts. |
sheyguy:What an arrant nonsense. Which other ethnic group in the cesspit called Nigeria can singlehandedly withstand the military onslaught Nigeria and its allies bought to the door step of Biafra? We are talking about serious military business of war and you are thinking about kidnapping and child’s play seen in creeks of Nigerian deltas. |
lagcity:I could not fathom the effort you seem to employ in breaking down a useless conjecture. Please try to invalidate the mental stability of a person who posed a question about what Biafra produced before the war. Biafra was not yet 1year and 6months old when idiotic Gowon-led Nigeria visited the state of Biafra with war of attrition. Harold Wilson told every colonist with interest in Africa that the defeat of Biafra must be accomplished by any known means. Did you think the slimy Briton had the interest of Nigeria in mind when he made such statement? The fact remains the colonists and would-be colonists saw a rare potential in Biafra never seen in African country till this moment. |
Onlytruth: “Tiger’ BattalionI remembered the 74th Battalion a.k.a Tigers along with 79th battalion that halted vandal's 33rd and 34th battalions advance at Orji/Umudagu junction. "Ojukwu Bucket" for Ogbunigwe |
Katsumoto:Did you really frown at people quoting documents posted for public consumption through Internet and famed the Wiki? I did not know a day such as this will come to pass. ![]() |
@POSTER Even a blind dog could easily realize the poster of this thread is an imbecilic gudgeon. The title of the article where the dullard culls the story says “Nigerian Taxi Drive murdered in Washington US”. However, the drooling ninny of the poster would add Igbo cab driver to the gist. There are many Yoruba as well as other ethnicities and nationalities of West Africa that drive cab in Washington, DC. |
lagcity:What lie are you talking about in this lengthy discuss? Biafra manufactured Ogbunigwe which was electro-detonated landmine capable of destroying a column of motorized battalion even though the detractors kept refereeing to ogbunigwe as surface-to-air missile. No supporter of Biafra ever said ogbunigwe was a missile. Biafra did not manufacture any war-plane but retrofitted some DC3 and WW2 bi-planes with bomb pods. Biafra converted flat Bedford truck into a fearsome-looking armored vehicle. In the same era, Biafra was able to convert palm-oil into diesel before USA starts tweaking with corn to produce fuel in the 70s. The only people injecting unfounded crap into this debate are the moronic dullards. |
lagcity:If you have any human brain cells in the skull you would have realized that Biafra existed as a peaceful country for only 1 month and 5 days when Nigeria visited with war. |
@OP Now I know you are a misguided joker, pal. I was living in Lagos and very much around UniLag when prof. Ayodele Awojobi tweaked a Nigerian military Styr utility vehicle into that laughable junk you called invention. I guess peeps from the same stock such as you shall never fail to make ridiculous claims. |
Aigbofa:You seem to tilt on intellectual balance when attempting to ridicule the achievement of Biafra via ogbunigwe. Of course, nobody with correct social order will speculate ogbunigwe was the start and end of state-of the-art technological iteration. However, it was an achievement of era that marveled few Europeans who did not think an African country was capable of wielding two ends of steels together. Is it not a borderline idiocy for someone to demand pictures of improvised war materials produced by Biafra as cameras were only functional when mounted on tripod stand. Any fair-minded person would easily conclude that Nigeria is an absolutely wasted entity for 51 years which could not point to any attempt to produce indigenous stake to technology, not even hoe. I am not surprised at your effort to throw silly probability of misshape where many Biafrans lost lags and hands or lives during the construct of ogbunigwe. Anyway, such wishful thinking did not materialize besides many Biafrans would have wanted to die in order to see the crude and rudimentary ogbunigwe, as you would wants us believe, reached operational status that could send many Nigerians vandals to their makeshift graves. |
I have always loved the passion the Biafra issue engenders among so-called Nigerians. It gives me a screen spectrum to juxtapose the people who will constitute danger to Igbo land or Biafra if such entity will ever exist. It is unfortunate some folks have branded the revisit to the history of Biafra as chest-beating and boastfulness. However, I wonder what had quenched such interest on Nigeria after 51years of existence. I must say something is very wrong if passion Biafrans seem to exude is totally lost on Nigeria. |
airmark:As long as Nigeria is concerned, I only invest in Igbo land and companies with Igbo background. The fact remains Lagos and Abuja are politically federal territories that would be contested if Nigeria should suddenly witness disintegration. I pray the issue of Lagos and Abuja should be settled amicably on the bilateral engagement among the emerging countries without resorting to war. By the way, what had trust got to do with the fact that Lagos and Abuja are federal territories? Is there any other place in Nigeria where federal government had spent more capital funds to develop than Lagos and Abuja? |
@POST Sheep does not beget Lion. The question would have been “Is Nigeria a 5-Star country”. Nigeria is not a 5-Star country and can not erect a 5-Star hotel. The Transcop Hilton hotel in Abuja is not even a 1-Star hotel. |
@POST If a person can not afford the headache of bride price, how on earth could the person be able to feed and clothe a wife? I hope some Africans are not thinking about being freeloaders. |
alj harem:Please accept my apology if my indulgence did not cordially resonate with you. |
alj harem:Because you are being disingenuously naïve. Ogbunigwe was not missile. It was a powerful landmine incorporated with electro-detonator. It also seconded as maritime mines for anti-ship. |
alj harem:Apology accepted. At least, you have human brain cells in your skull to understand you gaffed. |
aribisala0:You are just useless dirt urinated upon by a mad woman. I could invoke Amadioha to set your dilapidated body on fire but it is worthless endeavor and wasting of my kolanuts and white chalk on fellow who is a walking dead. You can jump the Lagoon if you wish, jackass. Lagos shall remain federal republic of Nigeria’s domain and must be contested for financial remuneration by other possible nations that shall emerge from disintegrated Nigeria. |
aribisala0:I guess it takes one whose cancerous mother could not pay her hospital bill to know another. I pray Almighty God to grant your mother what you wish another person’s mother because of useless Internet rants. |
alj harem:What the hell are you talking about Yoruba and Igbo with respect to my post? Did my post even mention Igbo? My post was in respond to the usual loudmouths who previously posted to the thread with silly references to Igbo or Hausa. I stand strongly by my post that Lagos is a replica of federal character and belong to all Nigerians despite the fact it is physically situated in Yoruba territory. I not surprise about your silly post because bigots will be first to refer to another person as bigot. If Nigeria should see a sudden demise today, ownership of Lagos and Abuja will be hotly contested for “money back” or be aerially destroyed. |
alj harem:What a loser!! A farmhand such as you could not differentiate a land mine ordinance from a missile. |
Aigbofa:You are a very funny chap. The folks on the receiving end of damage the famed ogbunigwe commanded thought about it as bringing, at least, six-shooter to DAO’s gunfight. |
Lagos, a replica of Nigerian federal character, belongs to all Nigerians. Yoruba people can not be able to repay the interest on the capital spent in developing Lagos as capital city to other states in Nigeria talk less of the principal fund. Few loudmouths who had negatively responded to this thread should shut up their putrid mouths. |
chino11:Bros, what do you want me to say when few ill-informed and loudmouthed trolls seemed desperate to belittle the achievement of Biafra through the famed Ogbunigwe |
An hausa man one-handedly invented one of the best 21st century cars in american about 3 yrs ago. Cant remember the thread, you can search for it if you want. |
Dude, how desperate can you be. Even enough to resurrect a yr old thread (that you were posting in a yr ago) just to quote me. Always following my expensive shiot like a Biafran fly. *Back to ignoring a pathetic loser*
You amount to nothing enough to even pose infinitesimal emotional discomfort |
So what stops SE'ners 50+yrs after? They could have continued with the construction of air planes. That's serious business if you ask me. It's not onto Nigeria alone.
What stopped SE'ners 50+yrs after the war are deluded jackasses such as you who sneaked onto the corridor of power in cesspit called Nigeria. |
Aigbofa:At least, it was a glorified firecracker designed to scare rather than cause serious damage. Some bombs manufactured during the WW2 were glorified dummies. |
Beaf:Biafra refined Palm Oil to diesel not Coal to petrol. It built Ogbunigwe as anti-personal and ship mines not anti-aircraft missile. |
^^^^If I say you are a moronic slowpoke, it is simply an understatement. Since you just realized that contributors have more than one handle identities and would probably vote to swell the imagery numbers to perpetuate the lies of seeing the war, it is an indelible indictment on your stream of thoughts and mental feebleness to start thread bereaved of intellectual worthiness. Believe you me, you are a perennial clown. |
A man's game indeed. GEJ won also depended greatly on GEJ's promise to step down for the SE come 2015. That's what the chaos was about on nl A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. A woman like myself, pointed out the utter foolishness of the SE to vote for GEJ based on his promise and his "middle name". Now the SE is rushing for 2015? I'd think they'd be more settled down since "GEJ promised to step down for the SE in 2015". Your logical reasoning is that Silva is shifting to APGA for 2015, even if we're still in 2011 and the man may sooner move to Accord come 2012. Make less sense since Okorocha makes better opponent than Silva, so why should APGA fret if GEJ comes after Silva? Only the person that sits on the fence can see what moves each side is making.
You are starkly blinded by idiocy and bigotry to the point sense is longer common to you. I guess when SE voted for Abiola in June 12, 1993, it was because Abiola boasted he could rule Nigeria without Ndigbo or his middle name was Kelechi Olachi instead of Kashimawo Olawale. What a gudgeon. |

? Biafra did not have the technology to build planes? Biafra modified all kinds of vehicles/aircraft.
