Abagworo: Dede1 has come again. The kind of business in Port-Harcourt is unequaled in Africa. Petty trading is no business and that is why most qualified people vacate Aba and Onitsha where 90% of the population are petty traders. Why can't graduates carry file on the streets of both towns if they are on PH level. Aba is even better that wealth is created there by artisans than Onitsha which is almost entirely dependent on selling to people from outside the State.I am not a stranger to Port Harcourt, Aba, Lagos, or Onitsha. If you had read my post without bias, you would come across a statement such as “Remove Crude Oil Activities from Port Harcourt the city dies a natural death”. Believe me, I stand by it. I remember when I used to go to Abonima waterside to bring drums of Akamere (kinkana) and loads of smoked fish for my mother. Port Harcourt might have had Wharf but all the importers and businessmen came from Aba or Onitsha with warehouses in those cities. People from Ogoni, Port Hacourt, Afam, Eleme and Obigbo went to Aba to engage in trading activities. By the way with the trend of economic and industrial development seen today any city can serve as a hub for economic activities. The city does not need to be a crude oil city. It is only in Nigeria crude oil is an alpha and omega. In USA, cities such as Houston and New Orleans, which handle crude oil activities as does Port Harcourt, are considered backbenchers to cities such New York, Los Angeles or Las Vergas when business activities are subject of discussion. |
Nigerians are funny indeed. Why would anybody frown at the political exigencies of the northerners? Northerners have every right to talk, live, think and strategize about Nigerian presidency. It is very ironical that individuals who would readily label someone tribal bigot are remotely twisted out of form because a northerner had shown a determined interest on Nigerian presidency. If you are disturbed by the hunger of northerners to control the central government of Nigeria, you must support the disintegration of the cesspit called Nigeria. |
It is funny people considered Onitsha and Port Harcourt as an economic bedrock of the east. The two self-made economic bedrocks of the east and often mentioned in the same sentence with Lagos are Onitsha and Aba. Remove the crude oil activities from Port Harcourt, the city dies a natural death. Onitsha and Aba still hold firm in business activities without the new crazily intoxication of crude oil and still attract interested patrons from far away places such Manfe, and Kumba in Camaroon and Ibadan and Badagry in Nigeria. |
@papatosible When I vehemently called for disintegration of Nigeria because of irrevocable bias and grudge we have for each other due to undue tribal sentiments, I am labeled a bigot. |
Callotti: Please, I am getting sick of your infatuation.I had been dead if I am infatuated in any sort. Pig shall always remain a pig. Dummy, there is a thing referred as fundamental progression and does not start on a borrowed medium. It takes one product of a dysfunctional family to recognize another. |
Logic Mind: usa does not have a mother tongueUSA has mother tongue and it is called English language. Do not leave home without it. Books, procedures, processes and policies in USA are written in English language. Those Swedish, Germans, Italians, French and Spanish who arrived in the new world around 18th century all lost out to dominate culture called English. Do not be confused with their lip service on diversity. |
Anybody who thinks a town with more number of hotels than its fair share translates to harlotry is an irredeemable fool. I stand corrected; Enugu and Port Harcourt have more women of easy virtue than Owerri. Enugu was the eastern regional capital while Port Harcourt was regarded its sister town. Owerri, as a new capital city, is actually punching more than its weight class. |
Callotti: More like fallacies more than inacuracies.Since you started cleaning the Alhaji’s blokos, you seemed to have lost every sense of decency. As usual, you came close to busting the truth wide open and suddenly misfired through citing UAE as an example. UAE is like any country that has too much money and willing to buy any junk. Northern region could perform better than some of its southern counterparts because of language. Most northerners can read and write in whatever language that is central in the north. Like Japan, a genius in engineering field could hardly speak a word of English language yet such person could build any structure known to man in engineering world. It is good to copy or even emulate others but one has do so in one’s natural environment. The major benign of Africa's advancement is the inability to write Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry etc in its native tongue. Any country that has taken giant step into the development of mankind, whether it is Russia, Britain, China, France, Italy, Germany, Japan, Spain or USA has done so through the medium of mother tongue. |
OAM4J: Sorry, the anti-spam bot has been overactive lately. The post has been restored. Thanks for quick response, bros. |
Dede1 responded to the thread titled “Only a fool will call the north parasite” and moniker’s privilege to reply was instantly revoked and the post hidden? Please could any of the moderators explain what is wrong with the response? |
bilms: ONLY A FOOL WILL CALL THE NORTH PARASITESI concur that only a drooling fool will regard northern region as parasites. As a matter of fact, northern region is landlord as far as cesspit called Nigeria is concerned. However I shall disagree with you on two listed issues: “The North is the most under developed part of Nigeria” and “It is the most uneducated part of Nigeria”. I guess you have committed the same blunder those who thought northern region is parasites. Northern region of Nigeria has more infrastructural placement by federal government of Nigeria than any part of the cesspit called Nigeria. As for the educated or uneducated, it all depends on your definition of education. Every child receives first hand education from his or her mother. In the jungle called Nigeria, some may choose Christian-European styled curriculum, Islamic-Arabic styled curriculum or Cultural induced curriculum. Whether it is European, Asian or African styled education, they are all avenue of education and can not be graded qualitatively. On education thing, the southerners are very much fooling themselves about level of education or lack thereof in the northern region of Nigeria. It was not too long ago top police officers from southern Nigeria with University degree were sacked to make room for a northerner who had diploma in Arabic studies. This is education I am talking about, bro. |
Callotti: Moo moooooo! Was Ojukwu a billionaire too?You are very funny indeed. Sniffing for what if I may ask? It looks you are arrogating over-winded importance to you dilapidated body. You should have imagined my type of woman by now. If you are an employment that pays a million dollar an hour, I should definitely not be an applicant. I am an impeccable world-class with a taste for excellence. From afar though, you seemed awkward and out of shape to tickle my fancy. |
Callotti: Was he a billionaire?Lasinoh, you are drooling dunce. What has Frobe’s list got to do with this discussion? Anyway good to notice your new look but still old fashion. |
Abagworo: And to add Port Harcourt is 6 times more populated. Port Harcourt is also far more civilized as it hosts people from all parts of the world. Owerri is more beautiful and spacious though.Wow!!! Bros, even if Port Harcourt is Lagos, it could not be compared with Owerri that stretched to Orlu. Port Harcourt has not yet engulfed Umuebula, Iriebe and Obigbo. In fact, Owerri is stretching faster than Port Harcourt. However, I do not wish to get into argument between Owerri and Port Harcourt. By the way, Port Harcourt (Igwe-ocha) was originally designed to be beautiful hence Garden City. I honestly believed Owerri is designed to look like Port Harcourt without the benefit of the Sea. Port Harcourt is more developed from the infrastructural view point than Owerri but Owerri is better planned landscape wise than Port Harcourt. |
Olaolufred: Dede1. I respect your views. but why not disprove what Onuoha wrote with a superior arguments?Where should I start to debate the writer of your jewel when he or she claimed Nigeria/Biafra civil war was a foreseeable event? I guess he or she was the only Nigerian who saw a vision in 1960 about civil war which will engulf Nigeria seven years later. In another instance, the lapper insinuated that Ojukwu hungered for power. If Ojukwu ever hungered for power, he would not have locked up Captain CC Ude whom Nzeogwu sent to 5th Battalion headquarter in Kano to seek help from the commander of the battalion who happened to be Ojukwu. Again, if Ojukwu really wanted power so bad, he would not have insisted that Ogundipe assume the position of C-in-C. Regarding the position Ojukwu held at the era in discuss, he would have teamed up with Gowon to destroy certain loudmouths in Nigeria army. In fact, Ojukwu would have become second in command to Gowon if he had sent a secret code. But Ojukwu wanted Nigeria where due process and meritocracy are paramount. I really do not know the age or part the writer played during the war. But judging from his or her essay, there is no doubt this is a case of ill-informed troll in attempt to draw attention. In fact the later part of the essay looked like conjectural craps often noticed at Dawodu.Com It beats the pale of my imagination to think a person who sincerely tends to avoid indulgence with lowlifes would use such airheaded article as reference in public place such as Internet. A decent human being would have dismissed the illogical write-up with a wave of the hand. But you seemed to bet your life on a silly crap written by an attention seeker. I lived in Yoruba land and sometime come across ridiculously condescending articles about Yoruba or its concern. I have never referenced such idiotic articles even when they were written by Yoruba peeps who are dastardly delusional or had too much to drink. There is no doubt you are having the thrill of you life over this nonsensical write up by a junkie. |
shataap you old retarrded fool! ojukwu was all over IBB begging him for some coins and recognition and it well was well documented. The coward Ojukwu went to the extent of giving IBB Ibo name. Do you knwo the meaning of Ikechukwu in Ibo land? That was the name giving to IBB by that nutcase.
shataap you old retar.ded stinking and cork-sucking cocotte!!!! |
Jarus: Tribalizing the issue again. Those who shamefully post articles laden with falsehood are people that injected tribalism into this discussion. Chief Greene Mbadiwe, who allegedly bankrolled West African Pilot, was richer than Dantata and Sons in 1955 talk less Sir L O Ojukwu. You must be in lala land if you believed AlHassen Dantata was richer than Odumegwu Ojukwu when the former died in 1955. In 1950, please name one thing accomplished by Alhassen Dantata except Dantata and Sons, an outfit that dealt with kola and ground nuts. By 1950, Louis Oduemegwu Ojukwu had sent his son to England to start high school, bought a Rolls Royce for him while in Oxford, owned part of NNSL, NCC, Shell Darcy, ACB, Appa Wharf and OTC. Dantata and Sons would have still remained kola nut selling outfit without the questionable and overinflated government contracted awarded to it by Nigeria during Nigeria/Biafra civil war. Stop regurgitating the crap carried by Wiki. |
At his last moments, Ojukwu was riding on IBB's manliness, begging ndigbo to vote for the criminal mind. Igbo man and his boy boy syndrome. That shameful period is forever embedded in history.
Wow!!! It takes one foolish manliness sucker such as Ileke-IdI to insinuate such rubbish. Do you beg when you ride the manliness of Ghanaians while in Gainesville? |
dayokanu: Sorry omalicha, those that should have told you about black scorpion were wasted like 40yrs agoThe loudmouthed Benjamin Adekunle did not see combat action as commander of 3MCDO. He fought his war before cameras and foreign news media. I guess dumbass such Dayolodo would believe a soldier goes to war front with well-ironed and heavily starched uniform without helmet or head gear as depicted by Adekunle in the picture. |
Olaolufred: Well, I am not used to being abusive. If you believe anything sentence written on the bases of hindsight as published in the article named “Why Biafra Failed –by Onuoha Ekeh”, you have certainly less than average intellect found in human. In every phase of human life, there are bunch of delusional dingbats that would believe Gowon, who had no iota of authority in eastern region of Nigeria in 1967, released Awolowo from prison in Calabar. There are too many people with less than average intelligence occupying the habitat known as Nigeria. In fact, I shall not deem it necessary to share nationality with the poster of this junk. Anyway, I blame it on Awolowo and UPE. |
Brother you are right but i find them most of the time and on this forum, just too stuupid to engage. I don't know if you may call it complex but i find yorubas too irrelevant and inferior to interact with. Nothing about them appeals to me or lives up to the class of people i wish to engage in an argument but like i said earlier, that may just be me. They disgust me to no bounds.
I try to hit few of the loudmouths with superior argument. For example, the moronic Oduasolja could not fathom the so-called National Reconciliation Committee led by a tribal icon named Obafemi Awolowo did not have a single northerner on the team. Yet the dingbat would want us to believe the crap posted was for real. I read about names such Awolowo, Aluko and Onyia which seemed to be people from western and mid-western regions representing their masters in Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri. The team did not even include soul from Tiv, Gwari, Nupe or Bachama. |
@MODs I am having issues with bold and coloration buttons on the new Nairaland web page. Each time I attempt to mark a statement bolded and colored, all the posts are bolded, colored and even double more then one fold. |
@POST This is a nonsensical and unacceptable kneejerk job to rope Ndigbo and Biafrans into the unholy mess perpetrated in Nigeria by those who fought Biafra. Nigeria’s state of ugly affairs started when certain moronic chuckleheads shun the idea of meritocracy, justice, seniority, and embraced the idea of cowardice, nepotism and sycophancy. The water had already passed under the bridge and the only solution to Nigeria’s mess is disintegration. |
Bandit C: Bandit CBros, if you allow the loudmouthed nimrods to ride free and unchallenged waves of dissemination of falsehood, there is no doubt their offspring would follow the footsteps of their forbearers to perpetuate unacceptable diligence. |
chmod777: Without derailing the main subject of this topic, can someone at home pls get this clear to me.Were you yet unborn when the position of heads of outfits you listed were occupied by Hausa or Fulani? If your answer should be remotely yes, what did you do? Or you liked cheating in you life and did not stand against injustice. |
@POST “When Alhaji Alhassan Dantata died in August 1955, he was the wealthiest man of any race in West Africa”. What a load of crap. By the way, what is actually wrong with Nigerians? When alleged death of Dantata came in 1955, Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu was the only millionaire on the surface of Africa. Alhassan Dantata could not compete with the likes of Chief Greene Mbadiwe or Chief A Akwuiwu. Ojukwu along with Britain and British companies such John Holt built Apapa Wharf. Dantata & Sons would have remained groundnut selling outfit if not for the massive contracts Nigerian government awarded to it during the Nigeria/Biafra civil war. Anybody who read the post strictly between lines would have discovered Dantata and Dangote would have remained a Kano State’s hauling outfits baring massive overinflated and questionable contracts awarded to them by State and Federal governments of Nigeria. |
gidiMonsta: How do you expect to defeat Nigeria? with your rag-tag army and child soldiers?I knew you were a drooling bigot with less than human intellect. If you had well organized social order, you would have asked if the cesspit called Nigeria is what your grandfather, father, uncles, brothers, sisters and aunties fought Biafra to erect. If you do not ponder on such scenario, you will receive double fold of any curse a stinking swine such as you had ever direct to GEJ as president of the jungle. |
