Any Igbo person who thinks good for Nigeria is a redundant fool. If I were this guy, Dr Perry Iloegbunam, I would have started a fake Stem Cell project I sell it to the goofy Nigeria.

I pray the cesspit called Nigeria disintegrates.

torkaka: ^^^^ with the likes of you if the biafran war was to be fought ten times over the igbos will be whipped into line. in war diplomacy is an important factor. ojukwu could not reach out and convince his neighbours to back him before the outbreak of war and now you blame other tribes simply because gowon rallied them behind him(gowon)?. why can't you get it into your thick igbostic skull that the war was between biafra and nigeria not between biafra and the north? this attitude of yours was the same attitude ojukwu displayed and lost. in war people take sides because of interest and carrots dangled.
Honestly, I shall give you little credit for being one of the few Nigerians to admit the Nigeria/Biafra civil war was debacle between Nigeria and Biafra. I do not know why you have not realized it till now that my posts hinged on this concept that civil war was between Nigeria and Biafra (eastern region).

I have argued that the essay on re-introduction of northern region was waste of effort. As much as I am in the picture, Ndigbo do not have neighbors but enemies.

It is funny indeed. The same Tonto Dike who rubbished Yoruba girls on chasing Igbo man for husband and advised the Yoruba girls to concentrate on Yoruba men is now denigrating Igbo man due to frustration.

torkaka: ^^^^once again the 1966 anthem!
can't you see how shallow you are? so will it be safe for me to say igbos some times massacre mid westerners and use 1966 as my excuse? do you know the difference btw you and me? you are all theory whereas i am all practical. you read books to know, i interact to know! you have to first know the demographics before judging!
kaduna is evenly divided btw hausa/fulani and the southern kaduna people hence the exploding zekwot conflict and others after it. jos (especially jos north) is made up of a good number of hausa/fulani infact jos is what you might call the fault line btw muslims and christians hence the staggering conflict. in gombe you have the small tangale tribe (christians) and other smaller groups around them. these gombe groups are too insignificant to have a say like wise the groups in kebbi and bauchi. in adamawa and taraba tensions have not really boiled to warrant indigene and hausa/fulani battles although small skirmishes have been reported. kogi has no significant hausa/fulani population although evenly divided between christians and muslims (the igalas, igbirras, bassa, yoruba in kogi are actually muslims and christians). benue in terms of hausa/fulani looks like a southern state.
i hope now you understand why kaduna and jos are flash points, the spread of northern minorities can be summarized into being small minorities in some states, evenly distributed in others and total majority in others! you don't expect to hear ethnic clashes (not herdsmen/farmers issues) between indigenes and hausa/fulani in kogi & benue do you?
There is no doubt most moronic Nigerians would want us to forget the pogrom of 1966 in northern region of Nigeria. In certain instances, they will attempt to interweave bold face fallacies and fictions to abuse the mind of undiscerning onlookers about realities in Nigeria. The pogrom of 1966 in northern region of Nigeria was proudly precipitated by the Christians and Mohammedans from northern region of Nigeria. Both sections of people from the northern region, Christians and Mohammedans, along with people from western and mid-western regions joined forces to foster a war of attrition on eastern region. I do not give a flying finger if the people are Christians or Mohammedans but one thing is clear in my consciousness, they are my sworn enemies baring none.

What happened before and after October 1, 1960 in the northern and southern protectorates are and shall remain integral part and history of the cesspit called Nigeria.

It is down right idiotic and laughable to insinuate “igbos some times massacre mid westerners and use 1966”. This is the height of irresponsible conjecture. The massacres that took place in mid-western region of Nigeria were targeted against Ndigbo by the Edo people and 8th Brigade of 2nd Division of Nigeria army.

Onlytruth: My brother just ignore abagworo's claim. I have lived in Cameroun (Duala, Yaounde and Baffousam), those guys don't know the difference between Igbo and any other tribe without tribal marks, especially if you are from Eastern Nigeria. They simply call you Biafran and end it there.
Let's focus on the topic because I see jealous losers sneaking around here. wink
Based on my personal experience, there are good numbers of Igbo people in Cameroon. A Cameroonian friend once told me that if Ndigbo would live Cameroon today, the economy of the country will go south. He added that all the markets from Kumba to Yaounde are controlled by Ndigbo. It is not true the Cameroonians can not tell Igbo from Efik, Ijo or Ibibio. Most Cameroonians would stretch to any corner to have an Igbo woman for a wife.

avm dan suleiman
george akume
obande obeya
john iyorshe

. . . .and lots more. your assertion that these northern christians join the muslims in murdering southern christians is news to my ears. do you have proof?
Anybody can make a statement of interest to an obscure newspaper and such action of self-interest does not delineate the action of Zamani Lekwot which attracted death sentence from ethnically biased federal government of Nigeria. The Birom youths have spoken volumes already on the unacceptable behavior of Mohammedans from northern region of Nigeria.

It is an error in judgment to compare the actions or whatever said by men like Air Commodore Dan Suleiman, Gov Joshua Dariye, Major Gideon Orkar, Dr. Pual Unongo, Mr. Isaac Shaahu, Lt Gen Domat Bali, Mr. Joseph Tarka, Gov George Akume , Mr. Obande Obeya and John Iyorshe with actions demonstrated by Lekwot and Birom youths against the political shenanigans that constantly emanate from Mohammedans from northern region of Nigeria.

You must be the only living creature on earth who is oblivious to pogrom of 1966 in northern region of Nigeria.

@OP

The writer of the posted article is one of the major reasons the northern region is wrongly considered mostly Islamic or totally uneducated on Judo-Christianity doctrine. What has the writer and people in his mold done to change the archaic altitude of Mohammedans from the northern region of Nigeria?

When Islamic youths on the influence “khat” go on useless rampage of wanton destruction of goods and human lives in northern region, where are the likes of Mark Amaza from northern region? In most case, the jackasses in mold of Mark Amaza have condescendingly joined the Mohammedans in northern region to perpetrate mayhem on non-indigenes of northern region.

Besides Zamani Lekwot, there is no other prominent northerner and Christian who have the audacity to challenge the reckless political commentaries and acts of inciting religious mayhem arising from northern region. Writing mere essays on the pages of newspaper may not change the wrong perception some people have about northern region of Nigeria. Actions such as the one encouraged by Lekwot and Birom youths will stop the foolish shenanigans always rising from northern region.

To be candid, I gave my hats off to the Birom youths who have said enough is enough to the crazy display of Islamized youths of Hausa, Fulani and Kanuri who thought they have monopolistic strangle hold on violence in northern region.
Politics › Re: Is It Possible For Hausa People To Advance ? by Dede1(m):
eyesonyou: The sooner the South realizes that the issues in the North have to be addressed urgently the better for Nigeria as a whole.

I am from the South, precisely Lagos, and I grew up with Northerners, and I can affirm to you that
the Northerners that I grew up with are not different from me in every aspect.

Fundamentally, human beings are the same. From New Zealand to Cape Verde, we are the same with little or
no distinction in cognitive reasoning if subjected to the same environment. What seperates the North from the
South of Nigeria is the lack of Education in the North, and lack of opportunities in Nigeria at large.

With the right nurturing the North can be as developed as the South.  (The development I refer to in the South is relative to Nigeria.)

Malaysia is predominantly Muslims, today they have the tallest twin buildings in the world -the Petronas Towers.

Southerners tend to generalize that religion is the problem of the North.  There is a far more sinister cause, and of course the inept
FG is not helping with the situation with their apathy to the affairs of Nigeria in general.
The above post is an arrant nonsense. Even the words are wrongly appropriated in the essay. For example, what does the poster referred as lack of education? Education is fundamental and it begins from the mother. Please check the meaning of education before you apply it in a sentence to convey a thought.

Those people from the northern region who received education based on Islamic doctrine have risen to highest posts in Nigeria as those who received education based on Judo- Christianity doctrine. For example, Sanusi L Sanausi is governor of Nigerian central bank who started with a degree in Islamic studies. The same goes to the present IG who holds mere diploma certificate in Islamic Studies.

Northern region has more federal government sponsored economic infrastructure than south region. There is no single federal government parastatal or federal government owned economic infrastructure in Igbo land. Every school built in northern region is the effort of state or federal government. In southeast, there are more community secondary schools built by communities or individuals than state or federal government.

I personally do not see any form of backwardness in northern region of Nigeria but archaic culture and tradition. While kids are sent to nursery schools in southern region of Nigeria, the kids are sent to Almajiri schools in northern region of Nigeria where they are thought to hate and kill infidels.

I do not give a rat arse if the Hausa people advance or not.
You fought and won, Halleluya! So, how's life treating ya? You see my brother, some people know how to win both in battle and in real life while some know how to win in the trenches but lose in life. Also there are some who know how to lose the battle but win in day to day activities, to that end I ask you - which group do you or your people belong to? win in battle lose in life? In 1945 Japan and Germany lost while Russia, USA, and UK won - Today, does it look like Russia won? Does it look like Germany lost?

Poverty and illiteracy stats in Nigeria have shown who lost and won. You need to stop this madness of always telling us you won, but if thats your stock-in-trade then act like you really won - move this freeeaking country to greater heights "winner!" Cant you see we're sick of this perpetual victory song. If your job is to remind me of my loss then the future is sure to guarantee part 2 of that maccabre dance.

With Boko Haram, Tiv vs Fulani, 10 million Almajiris, eye popping illiteracy, Berom vs fulani flesh eating, Fulani refugee situation, and acute poverty in the north, it doesnt look like you won. If you think and search deep, you would realize you were better off with a loss.

Dont think I'm laughing at you, its none of that. If you must know, I dont enjoy another man's missery but I feel its time to get you to jump off that 1970 victory high horse because its brought you nothing but disaster year after year. Look at what is happening up north and then tell me the meaning of victory. In 1970 you won with SW, MB, and SS as your friends and the presidency = yours till eternity. 42 years after the end of hostilities do you still have those things? Think long and hard next time before before you mention the word "win or victory."

Believe it or not Britain won in 1970, what you did was to celebrate the victory of her majesty queen "Eliza." 42 years after your celebration its Ijawman's turn to celebrate after which it might to go your much hated Igbo man that lost to Queen "Eliza" or MB man thats running faster than the speed of light to detach from Core north. My brother, this message is a reality check for you and I do hope you dont feel insulted or offended because of it.
The reason I do not give a flying finger about the talks or whines about winning the Nigeria/Biafra civil war is because the war was fought and won by Britain, USSR, Egypt, Australia, Niger, Chad, Cameroon and United Arab League.

Whether or not the few loudmouthed punks gloat over the winning of Nigeria/Biafra civil war, the future has guaranteed the second stage of the dance of macabre.
The fact remains that the modus operadi of ALL nations is primarily self interest. At this point in US history, their No. 1. enemy is Al Quaeda and they will do all in their power that any part of Nigeria does not become Al Queada stronghold. The realities is that America does care about Nigeria because a destabilized Nigeria could cause a major economic and security problem for America.

I submit to you that they (America) will exhaust every means available to them to ensure that the country(Nigeria) does not disintegrate. Its not about depending on America to rescue our country, its a matter of using friendly resources in the best interest of our country. I welcome billions of dollars into Nigeria if the money is used to educate and develop our land. Frankly, I'd appreciate some drones as well so that we can smoke out MEND terrorists and Al Qaeda elements in our country.

Two major reasons why Nigeria will not disintegrate anytime soon are (1) Oil (2) Al Quaeda
This is a beer parlor conjecture. You once referenced to the purpose of new American consulate in Kano State or lack thereof. I must urge to look deeper than you have done already.

They are not landlocked by any means according to their definition. The only problem is they fought and lost a war in 1969.
You have written like a historical novice. There is an infinitesimal problem in fighting and losing a war. Such occurrence is not a deterrence to engage in a future war.

Sometimes I am fascinated how individuals whose lineage had no connections whatsoever with southeastern region of Nigeria constantly hyperventilate about the extent of Igbo land. Are these folks live in constant fear of Ndigbo or pure and plan jealousy? It is either they worry about the Bight of Biafra (Bonny) or conclude Igbo land is landlocked.

It is very funny at times to read. I have lived in Lagos for few years and still do not give a rat arse about where Yoruba land starts and ends.

Yet they are not worried about arid northern region of Nigeria which is clearly landlocked even to a blind man. In my stratagems in case Nigeria sees sudden disintegration, what worries me the most is the Middle Belt. And it is closely followed by treacherous behavior of Oodua Republic.

And the whole of Eastern Nigeria is not Igbo land - Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River and to an extent Rivers are not Igbo land. If you think because you've River Niger, and that doesn't make Igboland land locked to you, good luck with your delusions of grandeur. lipsrsealed
Is there any need to waste time with someone who wrote the above? It is funny when Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri, Yoruba etc wear audacious pedigree to lecture Igbo person where the boundary of Igbo land starts and ends. Nigeria has created deluded society. I guess it will be shocker to you to learn Igbo land extends well into Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa and Rivers States. I do not need any encouragement or payment to seek the destruction of the cesspit called Nigeria. If I had the necessary power to destroy the colonial misfortune called Nigeria, it would have been an object of history lesson.

When I said you suffer from acute lack of human intellect, I was not mincing words. You just reiterated my message to every Igbo person who had ears that Yoruba is the greatest enemy of Ndigbo in Nigeria baring none. Of course, Yoruba is a glue because it could not stand on its own. It has to attach firmly to two surfaces to maintain a balance. It is unfortunate to know that individual preference is a crime in your goofy jungle called Nigeria. I prefer Biafra to Nigeria any day and anytime. The moronic ninny called bettyfool drools all over bight of Biafra (Bonny). May I ask the folly what happens to Bight of Benin?

I never had a dream as Nigerian and will never even though I do hop in and out of that God- forsaken geographical expression. Not even the air that circulates in Nigeria is memorable.

The best thing that will happen to Nigeria today is disintegration which will open arena for mutual competition among nation states without buildup bias based on tribalism. There is no doubt Republic of Igbo land or even Biafra is set to match into the glory of nation building while judiciously guarded against detractors with their land lock crap the moment the cesspit called Nigeria disintegrates. If the break up of Nigeria will unleash wars, I say let it be. After all, war begets peace. I hate short measures which if not watched carefully can bring untold hardship to the people and lead to quasi-war. If a state is granted unlimited powers as suggested by certain individuals and the state decides to close down certain inter-roads or ban the transportation of coca cola, not star beer, across its border while we are still citizens of Nigeria, there will be unimaginable retaliations and senseless fracas across the country.

I am for disintegration of Nigeria into nation states so that law, diplomacy, weight of sovereignty and fear of all-out-war between nations shall prevail.
