During my days, I never entered the car park to wait for any rider, unless it's an offline trip I had planned

If na MM1, depending on where I'm coming from, I could chill on Medical road, or enter Forte Oil, till I'm sure the rider is positioned

If na MM2, that one no hard grin. Keep going out and coming in till the rider don position

If na MMIA, that one no hard too...Keep U-turning till rider shows

I was on Bolt then, and you know how their riders can be..Dem never even behave well finish, or pay complete, na to come bear the Car park cost angry
Exactly my tactics too, and when picking rider my gear is always in D and my eyes on every available mirrors grin. Any foul movement I zoom before I think grin grin

Me : I... I wanted to say that I'm at the top... where... where they drop off passengers.

Me and rider no talk till I drop her at her destination.

Those guys are something else, but always try to use the carpark. Its N500, tell the rider about the parking fee, at the end of the trip if Uber/bolt add the money, return the riders money. But if they don't, keep am.
Most riders won't pay and bolt doesn't add it, only uber.

He is the only driver that does only uber, the rest majorly are on bolt, i have no access to their bolt account.

I have notify all my drivers of the increase in rent.

Only 1 asking me to shift his increase to next month, then advising me to use total oil.

6 drivers are on awaiting list, i have done their verifications, incase any driver disagree vehicle will be retrieve immediately and handed over to new driver.

Rent actually should be between 32/35k because of high cost of vehicle maintenance, but as a Christian you consider people working for you.

Mber months is peak period for transport business.
Okay

This are the rider peeps4u want uber to increase their fair.

Economy downturn will take down alot of small business owners like us, if we are not tough or careful.

Corolla i import from America for 220 naira per dollar during GeJ, then i was enjoying 50k rental while i bought the car cheap.

Today i bought the car much expensive with dollar rate at 465, then maintenance is also expensive, then rental is low.

Have you ever think about this, that owner you're presently driving his car with low rental fee might not be able to buy another one? Or even have money to fix the car when it requires high volume of maintenance.

Then you will move on and find another car.
I think you're in support of the current low fares and will even welcome further fare reduction, so why are you complaining. You should know that your income in this business is directly proportional to the fares. Abeg make bolt even slash the fares into 2, las las una go either collect 10k weekly or withdraw una cars

10million naira per year and more could be made in this business if you really put in the work ..

.. Most successful people only get about 4hrs of sleep per day .. You have to put in the work and strike while the pot is hot....
You've been in this business for years, are you not really putting in the work? Cuz I know you're not making close to 10 million naira per year.

27k rental is strictly business.

Access bank can donate 1billion naira to government for covid19. But some people working in access bank, doesn't earn more than 50k.
They're looking for something back from government, all na business sense. So back to dashing 10k weekly to strangers here, what do you plan to get in return?

But proof it, then earn extra 10k weekly.

Enough with the complain, uber and co has provided jobs for so many youths old and young alike. This is something your government has failed you .. Take it up with the government.... Until than I encourage all of you to stop talking and complaining and to start doing....
Are they complaining to you?

Attack ke? That one na stock in trade for here nau. Another one says go and drive, pls I drive sir, and its my own car and I also have another one on the platform that I gave out CHEAPLY, read my old post.
One is saying they don't want to mislead investor so they won't think there is so much money in ehailing. Do drivers actually care about investor? I can also argue that there alot of driver looking for car to drive, so if you don't want investors to buy cars, how will those driver get vehicles? Abi na only you one dey feed make hunger kill the rest. There is a REASON behind all this don't post earning, if you post earning na insult, TELL US THE REASON?
Bros, I think it's high time you leave gentlelife alone. PLS. Any bridge wey u Don cross for life, you don't necessarily need to set it on fire. PLS.
Did you mistakenly misquote me or you just tailored it to sooth your point?
I said not to mislead investors so they would know how much to expect in returns weekly/monthly when making their calculations before taking that loan or quitting that job.
Many of them gather their experiences here and conclude just like that.
As for me e no affect me one bit, I can post my app if you care to see, I've not opened it for almost 6 months. It's my car so ko si pressure
P.S. I didn't say posting earnings is wrong but make it clear how much is yours inside, don't come and be posting your luggard money + bolt money and filling station money join your own, and say see my money. That's stealing by mouth and punishable under the law in section something sub section something grin

They will attack and shut you up immediately.

Posting earnings will invite criminals, government spies, bla bla bla.

Gentlelife50 post earning of 28k to mislead the public. You want people to believe uber driving job is terrible, but you have been driving uber for more than 2 years 6months. You feed ur family with it, u pay house rent.

Nobody force anybody into uber, if u feel the job is bad quit and go use ur certificate to earn a living
Must you quote Gentlelife50?

They have made money and move on to the next level, or they tired of coming here, they should post it to encourage any driver that has been discouraged.
Face the fact, posting dashboards does more harm than good. Potential investors will think that's what they take home whereas it's around half of what is posted that is actually yours if you drive your own car, way less than that if you're on rentals.

Many people have lost money and their jobs investing in uber hoping to take home 150k weekly based on the false earnings you encourage people to keep posting.

If you have the time to post earnings then make sure you post it everyday, not only when you're lucky to make more than normal, and also have the time to do a breakdown of expenses that came with the earnings and let people know how much you truly made

Government did nothing, they need to find a way to tax citizens, since we don't have standard income report.

20naira tax will be bill on passengers on every ride.

Roadworthiness fee is not tax, is a form of fee.

If we stop paying tithe to church and contribute more in paying tax to government we might have a better infrastructure and a better state.
With these same leaders whose greed knows no bounds, if you like increase tax to 80% you will only help in fattening their accounts, things will still be the same.

Thanks at DeeDee44 Kaz, I've been having similar issue... The car kind of select roads, like it drives smoothly on some and kind of drag on some especially new tarred road. If I go beyond 40 , d check light will blink few times and go office, some times the car jerk and I feel the vibration in my body. I've made up my mind towards the gear if the eventual happens, but next week, I'll check the coil and fuel pump. I'm not bothered tho, it takes a bad car to tell Madam Rad skills grin
