Crvrider: Nope Try and check the coils, it sounds like the engine misfires when you try to accelerate beyond a certain speed. The check light is supposed to blink for a few seconds anytime that happens |

Crvrider: Please guys my car just started acting up 2days ago.
Issue: When I go down hard on the gas pedal, at 40-60mph the car starts to jerk and making a whistle sound and this continues until i release the pedal. Please what could be wrong?
What I have tried: The nozzles where serviced today but the issue still persisted. Spark plugs had already been changed at an earlier date due to a different reason
Thanks. Have you checked the coils? |

mabeni: I found out the car i was given on HP for the sum of 1.9m was bought in 2013. He even bought the car as anaija used. Can you see how wicked some Nigerians are? Although, i have paid over 1.6m now, changed the engine and gear box of this car yet the car keep giving issues every now and then. I have spent close to 600k in maintaining it but these days, OWNER does not want to hear me complain to him in regards to the issue the vehicle gives him so far his delivery is complete. He even had the guts to tell me to sell of the car and balance him up. Though, he has been a helpful and understanding partner but i don't know what came over him these days.
What should i do please? Nothing. You've signed the dotted lines, all you can do is look for a way to make your partner reason with you while you keep paying as much as you can as soon as you can, you've got to the stage where owners take advantage of little faults and defaults to terminate HP contracts and retrieve their car(s), thread carefully |

Olayetan: Yeah I did, i mean what if the woman paid according to the agreed, would that still be favourable to me? 4800 will be more or less what you would get on bolt after commission |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by deedee44: 1:42pm On Aug 27, 2020 |
Olayetan: I don't support indriver ideology, so i finally took a ride on indriver yesterday while i was at home at around 3:30pm.
Of all the request I've been getting on indriver, its either i offer higher price that would be rejected or i skip the request, so this one came in yesterday and it caught my mind, it was a trip of 4800 offer from Mushin ojuwoye market to ogbeni street sangotedo.
All my mind was, the trip wouldn't take me more than 2hrs and i wouldn't use more than 1k fuel to cover it, my fuel tank was already showing reserved light so i branched filling station in mushin to refuel 2k worth of fuel.
We began the journey, i quickly opened up my map to see traffic ahead, that's when i get the shock on my life when i saw 2hrs 50min to destination, i knew at that moment i had messed up to accept that amount for that journey.
We got to empire under bridge and i saw a very long and stagnant traffic in front of me, at that moment, my mind was contemplating on dropping the woman or renegotiating the offer but something told me you already agreed on that price so don't complicate the deal.
To cut the story short, we spent over 4hrs to reach sangotedo and i used all my 2k worth of fuel on that one trip, the woman gave me 5500 including the toll gate fee i paid then i began to compare what i make on bolt with 2k worth of fuel to that of indriver.
Honestly, indriver isn't favourable when there's traffic. You still made more than you would have made if the trip was done on bolt. That 5500 you made is equivalent to 6800 on bolt (before commission). Without saka that trip can never be up to that on bolt so you got a good deal |

I do that after I have done few trips in the morning How do you guys manage these car wash boys, they always soak my rug and make the car smell the next day. That's why I hardly go to car wash when I know I need the car the next day |

Someone need to be bold in this Lagos God bless you. Our people panic too much, confront these maniacs and watch them crawl back into their shells. Just make sure they have no evidence against you. You could have parted with a huge amount just like that |

Beng1234: Yesterday for yaba, council boys see as I Dey drive, them say make I park. For my mind, Wetin concern me, concern them? Naso I don Dey drop voice for them ooo (I still Dey middle of road) (AC on, central lock activated). As one of them approached, I asked what I did wrong. Baba said : “if it’s not that u are a young guy, i would have parked you”. Me: Park me? Wetin happen? Baba: next time, if u want to pick a call, clear well. I just laughed. Which call? I wasn’t pressing my phone. My phone was just hanged and my last call was about 20mins ago. Naso I hiss, zoom off
Even if I’m talking on phone, I haven’t committed any crime because I wasn’t holding the phone. It would have been on speaker So if you're talking on phone while driving, its council boys that will now arrest you. Craze wey dey these idiots head no get boundary |

ThatNiccur: Best bet, negotiate offline, stating the condition of roads and not being able to get a trip back into civilization as major reasons.
Some riders can be understanding. Do 12-15k, look for a trip to bring you back, once you get back into town. Wouldn't be a bad deal considering today is Thursday (no market) which means less activity.
Regarding the best route, someone posted a route here that's not as terrible as the main one, you can check it out.
My 50 cents.
Cheers. 15k is high sir, very high |
