jpworld: Here driver's are the landlords, if u post ur car here, they bully u and start making fun of u.
The same driver will still tell u, if they have money they wont invest more than 800k.
Will 800k get you any good car? Never.
But yet they want a clean Corolla to deliver 20k.
Slickleo I'm here to help owner's. This is not owner's thread sir, you can create one and leave driver's thread for drivers |

izzou: Like....
Let's be factual...What exactly is the government providing to aid cabhire or ehailing?
There are no roads. 70% of the roads in Lagos have no presence of ehailing because it's bad. Uber no get market for Badagry, Epe, Apapa, Ikorodu, Ojo, Satellite and so many areas
Or should we talk about security? It's only on the island (First roundabout to 7th) that is safe at night. Once you pass Ajah, na God hand you dey.
Or is it the rising cost of parts and maintenance?
Them go collect million million for licencing fee yearly, still collect 10% of 25% too...Habaa
They just want to float theirs.... Imagine a ehailing meeting wey na MyKab be the only provider in attendance. You just summarized Nigeria.. a country where government doesn't care how you manage to survive, all they know is bring bring bring, they never give give give |

Just look out for touts, they're always in uniforms and disguise under names like lastma, police, CBD, LGA and so on. Don't accept transfer from riders who are not ready to wait till you get alert. Or would you say an org like Uber and Bolt was not paying any tax to LASG for almost half a decade now? That's not possible.
That 10% is just too much.
Pay this, pay that, yet the scope of the job is very limited. Roads are bad, so many unsafe places to ply... Government has upgraded from tax to tithe |

Gentlelife50: Let me tell you the trick, once you can't get to pu before the time. Just arrive on the app once the time is up, and continue driving to pick up point. Na so I think say na only me dey do am If it's an elderly rider I will quickly call and inform him/her that my hand mistakenly pressed arrived while trying to navigate my way, but if it's youngies like me I no dey call. Most of them no dey know say you click arrive sef and the few ones that call I will just say it's a blip on the app, it sometimes alert them according to the ETA not when driver actually arrives. Sebi na lie the app want |

peeps4u: I love this mean. What duty does LG have with road traffic? The extortion and illegal money makes the LGs send their touts on the roads to impound cars. I've always said it here that I would be waiting for the day these stupid touts would stop me for not wearing facemask while alone in the car. It happened yesterday and I was even with 2 of my friends in the car but I still showed them pepper. They threatened from now till tomorrow asking me to park otherwise they would do this they would do that.. taaaa I pointed to one man selling snacks without putting on facemask in the midst of crowd and asked them to go and arrest him, they just smiled and said I should just talk to their oga that he's an understanding man, I just mtchewed and faced front back. One walked pass my window as if he was making calls quoting my plate number I still no send, the one that stood in my front nobody told him to leave when traffic started moving because he could see I was ready to damage his haggard looking legs. My friend initially panicked before the whole drama started because he was carrying over 2m in his bag (he wanted to go and pay for his new car) and he was afraid police could get involved if the issue escalates so he told their oga to collect 2k but the oga was just doing strong head. After all their efforts in getting into the car or forcing me to park proved abortive and we were getting close to the end of traffic, their oga just came and said oya bring it and before I could say jack my friend quickly gave him. Na 500 I for give them for their wasted efforts, who gave them authority to arrest for face mask. For this Lagos.. it can never ever |

peeps4u: I hope he is resigning to drive with his car? He might regret his action if he is planning to resign and join ehailing on rental.
As for your inquiry, if the car is his, he will surely make far more than 60k he earns currently on his job. He should compare the prospect in his current job with his future plans in ehailing if it is safe to resign because sincerely, govt can literally kill any business, ehailing inclusive, just one day with a bad policy.
Lest i forget, dont invest over a million on car for ehailing, I always advise 800kmax, so you can recoup your investment quickly. You can get a good naija used honda civic (from 2003) for 600-700k, you can't get naija used coro for a million or less unless you're lucky, so u might take coro away from your option. Civic is even more fuel efficient than coro afterall. You can possibly get naija used big daddy or matrix for less than 1 million. Hyundai elantra is another option but I cant say about its cost of maintenance or parts.
Good luck. Then you are possibly looking for a lemon |

Felicity0001: I just did something very bad now but if I can handle it to the very last I won't regret it all.
After my last post I got a trip to magodo via set destination to Abule-Egba. 1.5km to drop off another request came in 6.3km (had I known I wouldnt have picked it.
Rider didnt call till I droppes of and time was 9:51pm already. Dropped off and the. GMap says 3.8km to pickup ETA 18min; 10:03pm.
Put a call through to riderer.
Me: hi, gudevening pls where you going to pls? R: Berger M: pls kindly req another ride it's off my path R: Okay
I thought this guy waa gonna cancel but he didn't.
I calles him again.
M: pls sir you still haven't cancelled. R: I'll be charged you cancel. Me: you still have time to cancel without being charged pls kindly cancel so I can get a ride towards my destination. R: Okay.
Guy still refused to cancel.
I then drove down to pu, waited for about 6min could see it was a card trip na there devil come enter my Godly heart and I said let me teach this guy a hard lesson since you want to spoil my own make me help you spoil your own too.
I started trip, got to Berger did solo 4passengers to ogba. I then decided to end trip at excellent hotel.
As I reach out the stupid guy sent me a textbwithin.
How do I report to uber now is what I'm trying to think now.
If you a good and constructive lie I can give to uber pls help me out. Felicity Seriously? |

confusedworld17: I was at one event center to pick up a rider. Rider turned out to be the chef for the owambe. Rider wants to pack all her loads into my car. Even gas cylinder and that big iron burner that they use for those big big pots. I was so furious that I wanted to react and tell her that I'm not going but the little asshole in me whispered and gave me an idea of what to do. So I allowed her with the help of two of her boys to load their stuffs inside my trunk and the remaining one at the back seat to the extent that there was only a space for just one person at the back. Even the little space would not contain one person comfortably.
As if that was not enough, madam chef told one of the boys to lap the other one. Me was just standing by the side watching them do their thing because I already knew what I wanted to do. At that point, my rear bumper was about to kiss the ground.
Chef : Oga we are ready come and start the trip. Me : I'm not going again because of too much loads. Chef : But it was a driver like you that brought us here with all these loads. Me : No vex. I no know say the loads plenty like this. Chef : So why did you allow us to take the time and pain to load and now you want us to unload everything ? Me : No vex. They started unloading... me return to my watching position until they were done. As them suffer me, make me burn fuel to come do the work of a truck, nothing do me if I make them sweat small. The thunder wey go fire that driver wey carry all those loads still dey do press up for national stadium. An eye for an eye |
