dru23: Try to get your facts straight next time before writing sh*t down... there is hunger everywhere, there choices to be made. It's either you go out and hustle or starve to death.. Either way a decision has to be made ... Even uber in some parts of USA is still operating...... If you prefer for drivers to sit home and not risk their lives.. I hope you can provide other means of livelihood for them to feed their family other than begging on nairaland .......
And I do have a strong feelings that they will be more drivers looking for partners.. Due to some partners selling off their vehicles... This is my own opinion for now... We just have to see how this whole thing will play out I just knew this would draw you out |

xrayj: Anytime I see your post, I instantly develop Migraine! Do u even reason with your head at all?? No sane person will even propose this in developed countries with good security architecture. Here u are in Nigeria proposing night way of life for a country with the poorest security & highest poverty level in the world? It is not even safe to move in the day, u are talking about night? I really don't know if u exhibit this level of senselessness for fun, but I tell u the truth today, a fowl is more sensible than u! Gosh!

Felicity0001: Young man something tells me I've chatted with you sometime last year concerning your plans.
Are you the guy that's in IT? Reside somewhere in the SE? et al.
If yes, then my updated advice would be that you focus and taylor your plans on migrating out of the country, BUT, you would have to hold on till either a cure or vaccine is for this pandemic. Though some country will be tighning their borders against immigrants for some time to enable them first recover fully/moderately and being able to see areas where manpower will be needed.
The IT and telecoms world will be having a drastic and tremendous evolution and massive turnaround and opportunities will be available for those into IT and telecoms, as a lot of enevation will spring up especially now that 5G will fully be implemented all over the world. So if you're truly into IT I would advise you use some of that savings you have to get some additional training and courses done then see how things go within after a vaccine is found and 12months time.
Lastly, if at all you would like to have an experience on ehailing, just like I've adviced you the last and only time we chatted, i.e if you're the one, get a rental first to taste the waters then in 4month you wouldnt need anyone's advice on weather to get your own car or not. There's no joy like working for sb but you know within you your purpose doing it.
Most importantly my good friend, quarantine your self to make sure you Stay alive to reap these and many more promising future I just highlighted above.
Stay safe and stay alive. You didn't even wait for him to confirm if he's the one |

InfinityEstates: I doubt if that thing is effective. Like if someone is in the sun, would the heat of the sun not increase the temperature of the person? It happened to my in-law, his temperature was a bit high so they asked him to sit under their canopy for a while before testing him again |

sexylassie2: you may not like what i will write.
for instance, if they(those on minimum wages) used all their money they always give to pastors as tithes and offering, they set it up in a saving box, do you think they will be needy at this moment, i might not be realistic but this formula will work for many people here in Nigeria.
another unrealistic view, imagine, if people reduce the way they give birth in Nigeria, dont you think they will also have enough resources to take care of themselves.
This is just my opinion. So you just assumed they pay tithes and offerings as if it's everybody that does that. Well me I'm not that good in going back and forth, I am tired already. I will just advise you find a calm time and put yourself in the shoes of the least privileged, only then will you understand why they're so against lockdown |

sexylassie2: the reality is that i am not govt, we can go back and forth, at the end of the day, the govt is the only decider of the issue of lock down or no lock down. But you support lockdown extension, so what should happen to those who have neither food nor money? |

sexylassie2: how to hold govt accountable??
the developed countries that lockdown was effective, they are enjoying the benefit because they hold their govt accountable.
Here in Nigeria govt officials will steal and people will go on with their lives as if nothing happened
We all created the mess we found ourselves now but i am sure we wont still learn any lesson. You haven't answered the question. How do we hold our government accountable. What are we not doing that we're supposed to be doing? |

Felicity0001: Azin enh!
Though uber is even trying self they called me last week to know how Im doing. I went on to ask the lady that called if there's any plans on ground by uber for personal protective measures or equipment for driver against lifting of the lockdown, the lady just parried my question and hung up.
Bolt nko way no even send ordinary email na their own worst pass. They even sent me a mail to register for bolt food delivery or sth like that. Anyways, I'm not surprise they're very useless and inhuman.
I'm very very sure sexylassie works for them. Haba bolt no bad like that na. They mailed me, asking me to pay the money I'm owing them. Very foolish people |

sexylassie2: Which is better
To stay healthy and fit or to risk your life for taxify and uber, contact the virus and then use the money you made to treat yourself.
I hope you know that some pharmacies are running out of supply. It's like you still don't get it. No money no food and you ask people to stay at home, stay at home and eat themselves? |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by deedee44: 7:12pm On Apr 26, 2020 |
sexylassie2: I don't know why people think facemasks and hand sanitzers will automatically immune you from contacting the virus.
Doctors and nurses use this things daily and still get infected and once they get infected, the whole ward gets infected too.
People should stay at home simple, only go out to buy essential things. With what money? |

i think this should be a eye opener for Nigerians that instead of complaining, they should have hold their govt accountable , maybe next time when something like this happens, the govt will be fast to do their job. How? |

Me and you are in the same shoe right now Only difference is, my landlord has called. I missed her call so I summoned courage and called back, she said she only wanted to ask about my safety as she heard that 1 million boys came around. She didn't talk about rent, what a nice and understanding woman. I love her |

sexylassie2: at this moment since our universities both private and public cant find a vaccines against the virus, we have to practice what other countries did and that is lock down and social distancing.
We dont have the resources against mass infection, if everyone is infected, where is the hospitals that will treat them. sincerely speaking it will be a bad thing if people began to die up and down, even WHO will blame Nigeria for not protecting her citizens.
We are not china, Italy or USA, we do not have the resources like that but we can do what they did to stop the spread and that is enforcing social distancing and making sure people stay in their houses and only come out for essential purchase till a drop in cases happens
Money is good but also health is important This is just like having type A question in an exam and copying answers from someone with type B. All these developed countries didn't just ask their people to sit at home, they provided support to ensure their survival Lockdown comes at a price, and our government cannot afford it. Shikenah |

Bigleaf1006: Thought someone said false earlier!! Wonder why people will just make assertions without proper knowledge, isn't that bare faced lieing?
The person that told me about the 800k for trucks isn't even a truck owner but someone who hires trucks almost every week cos he is freight forwarder and we weren't even talking about investing in haulage business,we were just having casual gist about what's happening at the ports and the challenges they are facing including the massive corruption in that place.
Bros!! About your haulage matter, all I gotta say is plan well and understand the terrain well then commit it to God. There isn't any business without risk!! Yes I said false earlier but I've erased it when someone mentioned 40ft, because the price I came across last year was nowhere near 800k and it wasnt 40ft. Apologies |
