Y1nka: How
Dear poster, if you aim to have offline trips, a Lexus IS better. And even more if it’s RX ... offline trips sha. But for day to day Uber, I’m not sure ES can , If fuel is ok, what about maintenance? Big daddy doesn't look bad for offline trips as well, moreover good drivers attract more offline trips than good cars. And since the business is more of online trips then he should go for a more durable car that can withstand all the ehailing abuses and floggings |

I will agree with that good man that advised you to buy big daddy instead of Lexus. My reason: I've seen many big daddies on the platform but I hardly see E330, there must be a reason for that P.S. I drive a big daddy myself and I'm enjoying it. Just don't buy an abused car and you'll be okay |

ndubuis: Is it really a good idea to display ones earnings in public like this? There's a bit of security risk and danger associated to this, if you ask me. It leaves other drivers prone to attack by thieves, police and other security agents. A novice in this game may clap for this without knowing what the real deal is. Na Naija we still dey oo! Especilly for those that work at night. If it is a state where kidnapping is business, with all these flashy dashboard displays, Uber drivers will be kidnapped every blessed day |

gabng: Little did many Nigerian know that every one that is of taxable age and has obtained either BVN or NIN has been allocated a Tax Identification Number (TIN) by the Nigerian government.
The tax identification number (TIN) is a unique identifier for an individual or a company for the specific purpose of tax remittance and it is issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). As a business or individual, TIN is important because that is what shows that you are a registered taxpayer in Nigeria, and as you know that tax payment is made compulsory, every company, business, individual must have their own unique tax identification number.
Registered company/business will however need to Apply for TIN online separately. Follow the steps below to check your personal Tax Identification Number (TIN) with either BVN or NIN
- Visit https://tinverification.jtb.gov.ng/ - Select your Date of Birth. - Select your preferred search criteria from the Select Criteria Dropdown-TIN or NIN or BVN or Registered Phone Number - Provide the appropriate value based on the search criteria in Step 2 above - Confirm you are not a robot by checking the reCAPTCHA Box - Click the Search button Oga please tell bossess Dem to fix our bad roads first with the taxes we've paid before they come to ask for another, till then I'm saving my taxes in my kolo to fix my compound |

chucsmoore: Lol. What's d experience like Peeps can price your ride for almost free. Make sure you calculate the fare estimate of any trip before accepting, if you rush and accept you will be rushing into charity jobs. It's not advisable to use it in peak hours as even Google maps find it difficult to predict how long a trip will be. I've heard a story of someone who spent over 5 hours on a trip of 1,300 (fixed) |

mychelyte: Let me tell you their secret! It's the riders that are extorting customers, this is what they do; Once you order a ride, immediately he spoke with you on phone to ask of your location, he will immediately clicked that he had reached the pickup location and passenger picked,of which he may be far from you sef,so they will be calculating duration and distance from the moment he clicked passenger picked up, till he reach you then take you to your destination. They do that so that their own share of the money they charged you will be high..because they are already calculating your charges from the moment he said passenger picked up.
Anytime you order for a ride and the app notify you just immediately after the rider called you but he has not gotten to where you are, call the customer care/service and ask them to cancel the order for you! Then you can place another order.
That's what they do. You're wrong |

Note: ..don't break traffic rule Don't pick rider from normal bus stop. If the pick up location is major bus stop, tell the rider to walk foward to avoid agbero people.

northbird: Seniors, So I just took bus transport from ikeja to the airport to see things myself.
I got there, i saw the dreaded towing van guys trying to throw an iron rod into the car wheels of a chap, n d towing van racing towards him. I didn't wait to see d end.
I met another set challenging a man parked where the airport taxis are, dey almost towed him. Reason: only registered airport taxis are allowed to park where he parked.
I approached one of them n told him I was going to start uber n how does d airport thing work.
He told me uber n taxify are banned from working in the airport bla bla bla n dey are d only ones authorised to do biz carry riders n that anyone DT picks a rider will b towed
I took whatever he said with a pinch of salt.
So seniors, How do you drop a rider @ d airport without infringement of rules or play to the towing guys hand.
Are you to drop the rider in the car park or what?
Basically, I need a walk- through of the process like the Dos n Don't @ d airport.
Thanks.
Cc: izzou, DeeDee, xana, pope, iyaegin, jaydee, xghost, slamstanlee, chucsmoore, moonlight ... At the airport, no one will tow you for dropping a rider at departure, just make sure you don't exceed the allowed time (3 mins). You'll also make all your mirrors your best friends, any suspicious movement by someone holding a clamp zoom off with rider lol For pick ups, to be 100% safe you'll have to wait for rider at the car park. Most riders will beg you to drive out it's up to you if you wanna take the risk. Those airport guys too can request you and set you up so your alankan will have to fi oju so ori (you'll have to always stay alert, if your instincts tell you to move don't ask why. Good luck |

Someone mentioned DT riders go for lite by default. N DT dose on bolt don't get riders like d guys under lite. N d car I registered with is 2006 corrolla.
Pls. Do I need to worry about getting requests? or requests will com regardless of the category?
Thanks. If it hasn't changed, to the best of my knowledge, 05 Corolla upwards fall into both category (lite and bolt) so you don't have to worry about which category gets more requests |

izzou: As a driver, I feel for Mr Ghost that had that accident. I know what it feels like to be blamed for something that actually "wasn't supposed to be your fault". Also considering the damage on the car, it's painful. I really feel for him
But put yourself in the rider's shoes. Accidents happen, but that wasn't her bargain. She wanted safety too, that's why she ordered for Uber/Bolt. Will "sorry" replace a missing tooth? What if it was a child that it happened to?
King.reign may have passed his message without compassion, but the truth is, "it is what it is". The driver was supposed to safely get the rider to the destination. The driver is to be blamed. If it was my loved one that was involved, I would most likely not be this "understanding" as I am now
Let's drive safely. Lobatan It should also serve as a lesson to those riders that always shout oga run na without knowing the competency of the driver. In a country where many drivers learn from learners on a football pitch for few days and get drivers license. |
