ummsulaym: mahram issue...
In a situation where someone from your husband family(a male) lives with you and your husband, he isn't your mahram but because he still underage makes him one... Years later, he's matured enough and normally, if he was an outsider, you should not display your adorements before him nor come in physical contact with him or staying alone with him in a place but since he grew up under your custody and now turned a non-mahram but yet, lives with you, being on hijab 247 in your husband's house wont just work neither will staying in ur room 247 just to avoid being together when ur hubby goes out and some other stuffs like that...
What's your advice under this circumstance?
Send him out or live such a pressurizing life in your habibi's house?

Why should the husband in the first instance bring in someone into the home and make the wife uncomfortable in her own home.

Did they (the relatives) not have a home prior to the couple getting married ?

Its a recipe for disaster, the woman has the right to her privacy , this is not of Islam.

And by the way it applies to both sides of the family i.e husbands and wives side.

These are the little mistakes we bring in from culture that mess up marriages

The couples should have their privacy to themselves to get to know and understand each other better.

Me personally will never do this, I see no reason why someone should be disturbing my flow for my house grin

Strangers step up after business drops off for Shawnee owner

A Shawnee business owner, who feared he would have to file bankruptcy, said a local church saved his business one tank of gas at a time.

Construction made it difficult for drivers to pull into the Snack Shack Phillip 66.

Owner Mukhtar Raja said construction along Shawnee Mission Parkway closed roads that brought business into his store.

When he was fearing the worst, suddenly a certain type of customer started supporting the mom-and-pop shop.

"When they started, they cut off our roads. This whole neighborhood can't even get to us. Man it just clobbered as far as business. I don't know exactly how much but it hurt," employee Edgar Kempf said.

The construction kept Raja up at night.

"The point came it was hard to pay the bills. It was really hard to pay the bills," Raja said.

In about five months, Raja estimates sales dropped by about $100,000.

"I was seriously, seriously considering filing Chapter 7," Raja said.

Then, as if someone answered his prayers, customers started to come.

David Jones, the pastor at Cross Points Church, asked his congregation to buy at least one tank of gas from Raja.

"I'm very, very thankful to them. Every one of them," Raja said.

Raja's employees say it was very touching.

"The first time they did, apparently they must have announced it right in church too, because church got out about 11:30 a.m. I never have a rush on Sunday, but I had people out here waiting in line to get gas," Kempf said.

Raja said he has a lot of respect for the church, and the kind gesture brought both him and customers to tears.

"I'm very thankful to them. They basically woke me up ... that good people exist out there. They don't care what race you are ... what religion you are, and that is unforgettable," Raja said.

Members of the Cross Points Church said they are starting a new effort called "Connect, Commit, Create." The church will come together to help businesses in the Shawnee area.

Raja, who is from Pakistan, and his wife, who is from Ukraine, say they feel like they have family in the United States because of the outpouring of support they have received from the Shawnee community.

For those who love to quote the Quran out of context, kindly watch the video below.

Brother Nouman Ali Khan gives a concise explanation of the verse "Kill them where you find them verse"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvM6i1aJz0s

And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you,
and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there.
But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.

And if they cease, then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Q 2:191-192

This verse addresses those that come to the Quran with bad intention and not for good guidance , you will find what ye seek, as explained in the verse below

" .......He misleads many (by the Quran) thereby and guides many (by the Quran) thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient (those with corruption in their hearts)"

Islam for Muslims / Quoting The Quran Out Of Context As Practised By Non Muslims. by Deen4me(m): 11:21am On Oct 10, 2013
It is not news that a favorite practice of non Muslims method of attack on Islam is quoting the Quran out of context either intentionally or due to lack of understanding.

This is an attempt to clear the air on these issues for better understanding for both Muslims and non Muslims.

Of course there are those who come to the Quran with corruption in their heart's, i.e Their intention isn't to learn but to corrupt & mislead others.

To them their response is revealed in the verse below

" .......He misleads many (by the Quran) thereby and guides many (by the Quran) thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient (those with corruption in their hearts)"

Q2:26

For all those who care to understand, The Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years, over this span of time, whatever incidents occur that concern the religion Allah sends Angel Jubril (Gabriel) to the Prophet (PBUH) with verses which concern the matter at hand.

So many of the verses of the Quran are related to specific events and some are abrogated over time.

Example of this is the process of how Alcohol was banned in Islam

1. Being sober i.e not drunk was made a condition for coming to prayer (Q 4:43)

2. Indication was made that the disadvantage of alcohol consumption is greater than the advantage. (Q 2:219)

3. Finally, "intoxicants and gambling" were called "abominations of Satan's handiwork," intended to turn people away from God and forget about prayer, and Muslims were ordered to abstain from it. Q 5:90-91

The next post will be about the popular "Kill them wherever you find them" verse.

Finally I invite from my more learned brothers and sisters to give their input for the education of all.

babyosisi:

Chineke God
I hope Abacha built some bore holes before he ate the apple
Thank you for clarifying these things because I hear you folks praying for evil men and women when they depart to make the Islamic paradise

Isn't it amazing that Allah can forgive a man that died on top of a prostitute and killed so many while sharia connected to the same Allah will cut off fingers and toes and stone people to death while their friends gather and ask Allah to accept them in paradise

Osisi this your sarcasm no dey taya you ? well anyways

Basic fundamentals of Islam is All actions shall be judged by your intention.

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab:
I heard Allah's Messenger (PBUH) saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for."

If a human being thinks he can decide to commit sins with the intention of repentance later it dosen't work.

Repentance in Islam comprises of two parts

1.Sincere feeling of shame and sorrow towards the sin committed
2.A firm resolve not to go back or repeat the sin, and or anything which leads to it.

And before I forget repentance is not acceptable by Allah when the angel of Death comes a knocking.

So if perchance you die whilst committing a sin as you so put, then its a sure sign of the punishment ahead of the individual.

And Allah Knows Best.

Phema:

Does Allah forgive sins of the dead? Simple question
Phema:

I would want to know too. Can a Muslim please explain?

The basic concept of the after life in Islam is , the life you live in this world will determine your status in the hereafter. I.e Paradise or Hell

It should also be noted that, No amount of good deeds performed by man in this world guarantees him paradise by merit, All those that get admitted into paradise is by Allah's Mercy.

The effort for good deeds performed by the individual is a prerequisite for qualification of that mercy.

That being said when a muslim dies his book of deeds are closed up except for ongoing charity(good works) e.g righteous children who pray for him, beneficial knowledge by which people benefit ,i.e books or people he taught and are continuing to teach others, and finally infrastructure which benefits the people such as water supply for the public, wells, borehole, planting trees that provide shade and fruit, hospitals, etc

All these good deeds continue to pile up against his evil deeds till they overcome the amount of evil he/she has in his records, and this by the mercy of Allah will be granted paradise.

Islam for Muslims / First 10 Days Of Dhul Hijjah by Deen4me(m): 7:48pm On Oct 05, 2013
The first 10 days of Dhul- HIjjah (Oct 6-15) Are upon us.

The days of these first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah are better than the days of the last 10 days of Ramadan.

The last 10 nights of Ramadan are better the last 10 nights of Dhul Hijjah, because of the night of laylatul quadri which is better than 1000 months.

Good deeds are highly recommended and Greatly rewarded by Allah during these days

The Prophet (PBUH) said
“There is no deed that is better before Allaah or more greatly rewarded than a good deed done in the (first) ten days of al-Adha.” It was said: “Not even jihad for the sake of Allaah?” He said: “Not even jihad for the sake of Allaah, unless a man goes out himself for jihad taking his wealth with him and does not come back with anything.”
Narrated by al-Daarimi, 1/357.

Examples of Good deeds to be done by those not performing Hajj

Fasting

Fasting the first 9 days of dhul Hijjah are highly recommended

In the least fasting should be performed on the 9th of Dhul hijjah, as this expiates sins of 2 years the preceding and the next.

The Prophet (PBUH) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and three days each month, the first Monday of the month and two Thursdays. Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 4/205

Dhikr

It is Sunnah to recite the following during the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah.

Takbeer (saying Allaahu akbar (Allaah is most great)),
Tahmeed (saying al-hamdu Lillah (praise be to Allaah)),
Tahleel (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah (There is no god but Allaah))
Tasbeeh (saying Subhaan-Allaah (Glory be to Allaah)).

Men should proclaim it loudly while women should receipt quietly

Repentance

One should sincerely repent for sins committed and be committed not to return to them.

Udhiyah (sacrifice)

One should look for a fat, strong animal to be slaughtered for the sake of Allah.

"Their meat will not reach Allah , nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you.
Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you;
and give good tidings to the doers of good" Q22:37

Rukemi291: Alhamdulillah, it's an honor to be a muslim. But I feel sooo sad when i read terrible comments about my religion. I just wish Allah can visit all the perpetrators of evil with His full vengeance sooner than we think.

Unfortunately this has been the condition since the beginning of time.

All Abrahamic faiths i.e the worship of one God , does not go down well with Iblis (satan).

This is all a test from your Lord , what you need to do is prove your worth by being patient and uphold Islam.

"Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, "We believe", and that they will not be tested?

But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful,

and He will surely make evident the liars." Q 29:2-3

We should not feel sad, because many people have gone through what is happening now and they survived Insha Allah.

@ muslims

We must refrain from commenting on any topic without proofs or references from the Quran and Sunnah lest, we misguide readers based on inaccurate information.

Using guesswork or such creates more problems than it solves, out of eagerness to respond to "funny" allegations of non muslims.

We should be aware that Islam is a complete way of life, and if you dont have knowledge of a topic the best response is Alahu Alam (Allah knows best)

@ Topic

Paradise :

Prophet (PBUH) said: “Allaah says: ‘I have prepared for My righteous slaves that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and it has never crossed the mind of man. All of that is reserved, besides which all that you have known is as nothing.’ Then he recited: ‘No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do’ [al-Sajdah 32:17 ].”

Bukhari 3072

(A) The Human mind is incapable of imagining the joys of paradise. Nothing impure or evil will remain in existence in paradise i.e no jealousy, anger, hatred, bad thoughts etc.

(B) All desires, wants , needs will be fulfilled in paradise. Inhabitants of paradise will be happy and satisfied

“(there will be) therein all that inner‑selves could desire, and all that eyes could delight in and you will abide therein forever”

Q 43:71

Muslim Woman's Reward:

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: Allah's Messenger, (PBUH), said, "When a woman observes the five times of prayer, fasts during Ramadan,
preserves her chastity and obeys her husband, she may enter by any of the gates of Paradise she wishes

Al-Tirmidhi 3254

“Whoever works righteousness — whether male or female — while he (or she) is a true believer
(of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect,
contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion
to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter)”

Q 16:97

Those will have gardens of perpetual residence; beneath them rivers will flow.
They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade,
reclining therein on adorned couches. Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place.

Religion / Re: Divorce And Marriage According To Islam And Jesus by Deen4me(m): 2:42pm On Sep 30, 2013
Techwriter:
The New Testament highly respects marriage. Someone that follows Jesus is only permitted to marry one woman. Divorce is restricted to cases of adultery or physical harm. The New Testament sees marriage as each partner giving themselves fully to each other. So much that they are spiritually considered as “one flesh.” This teaching of Jesus can be found in Matthew 19:5-6.

Polygamy : a system of marriage whereby one person has more than one spouse

Polygyny : where a man marries more than one woman (Allowed in Islam)

Polyandry : where a woman marries more than one man (Not Allowed in Islam)

Lets look at the facts:

1 Islam did not introduce polygyny

Moses 2 wives (Exodus 2:21 , Numbers 12:1)
Abraham at least three wives (Genesis 16:3 ,Genesis 25: 1-5)
David -12 Wives , 3 Concubines (1 Samuel 18:27 ,1 Chronicles 3 1-5)
Solomon 700 wives and 300 concubines (1 kings 11:3 ,Songs 6:8 2 Kings 10:1)

2 : The Qur'an is the only religious scripture in the world that says, 'marry only one'

"Then marry those that please you of women
two or three or four.
but if you fear you will not be just, then (marry only) one " Q 4:3

3. Polygyny protects the interests of women and children in society.
It requires men to spend on their additional wives and their offspring.

The Prophet(PBUH) says,
“When a man has two wives and he is inclined to one of them, (i.e favors one over the other materially and time wise)
he will come on the Day of resurrection with a side hanging down(paralyzed)” Abu Dawud

4.Only a minority (10-15 %) of Muslims practice polygyny because of additional financial and
psychological burdens of handling more than one family.

Women's Right In Islam

Kindly take note that a woman in Islam can be all of the following and enjoy all the benefits and honor they bring.

she may be a wife, a daughter, a mother, a sister, an aunt, so she may be honoured in all these ways.

Mothers

1 )"We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents; in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth" (46:15)

2 )"Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: ‘My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood' "(17:23-24)

3 ). The Prophet Muhammad said, PBUH: Your Heaven lies under the feet of your mother (Ahmad, Nasai).

4 ). A man came to the Prophet and said, ‘O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship?
The Prophet said: Your mother. The man said, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man further asked,
‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man asked again, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your father. (Bukhari, Muslim)

Wives

“and live with them honourably” [Quran 4:19]

“And they (women) have rights similar (to those of their husbands) over them to what is reasonable,
but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them. And Allaah is All-Mighty, All-Wise” [al-Baqarah 2:228]

And the Prophet (PBUH) said: “I urge you to treat women well.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 331; Muslim, 1468.

And the Prophet (PBUH) said: “The best of you is the one who is best to his wife, and I am the best of you to my wives.”
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3895

Daughters

The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach adulthood,
he and I will come like this on the Day of Resurrection,” and he held his fingers together.
Narrated by Muslim, 2631.

Ibn Maajah (3669) narrated that ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Aamir (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah
(PBUH) say: “Whoever has three daughters and is patient towards them, and feeds them,
gives them to drink and clothes them from his riches, they will be a shield for him from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.”

Indeed, Aregbesola himself put issues succinctly on behalf of others when he said that the aim is for Osun to generate enough internal income to sustain and develop herself so that federal allocation then becomes a "bonus". Such ambitious talk was naturally criticised by the PDP since it is a Party full of indolent thinkers who happily resign themselves to being at the mercy of a retrogressive centre.

Now the serious increases in IGR throughout the SW shame such indolence and lack of ambition while proving that dumping the regressive PDP is the best thing the SW has done in a long time. I think realistically, with a system of talented leaders replacing talented leaders upheld religiously , the SW can be entirely self-financing and highly developed within the next 10 years. How is it shaky ?

and how has the above scientific findings replace Islam's 6 Articles of Faith ?

The point to be looked at is .....

a) Actions that have been recommended by the sunnah , will gain better understanding and appreciation if and when science is able to shed more light on it.

This is not to be replaced with the notion that until science proves it right , we don't follow or believe or appreciate the sunnah as we should.

Examples are , not sleeping on your stomach, Not drinking while standing, the fly whose disease and cure reside on each wing.

All these discoveries further drive home the point that the sunnah of the Rasul Should be followed to the letter. "We Hear and We Obey"

Would you expect the Rasul (Pbuh) to write scientific papers giving details of the benefits of his actions, when technology at the time is yet to catch up ?

Did you also forget that he was Unlettered ?

May Allah Guide us aright

Islam for Muslims / Sunnah Of New Born Baby , Scientifically Proven - BBC Article by Deen4me(m): 3:14pm On Sep 25, 2013
Islam has been perfected, No matter how much they despise it .

It was reported that Abu Moosa said: “I had a baby boy, and I brought him to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
He named him Ibraaheem, did Tahneek with some dates and prayed for Allaah to bless him, then he gave him back to me.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5150; Muslim, 2145).

Tahneek means putting something sweet, such as dates or honey, in the child’s mouth when he is first born.

The practice has been recorded in the Sunnah of the Rasul 1400 years ago, Science is just catching up grin

A dose of sugar given as a gel rubbed into the inside of the cheek is a cheap and effective way to protect premature babies against brain damage, say experts.

Dangerously low blood sugar affects about one in 10 babies born too early. Untreated, it can cause permanent harm.

Researchers from New Zealand tested the gel therapy in 242 babies under their care and, based on the results, say it should now be a first-line treatment.

Their work is published in The Lancet.

Dextrose gel treatment costs just over £1 per baby and is simpler to administer than glucose via a drip,
say Prof Jane Harding and her team at the University of Auckland.

Sugar dose

Current treatment typically involves extra feeding and repeated blood tests to measure blood sugar levels.

But many babies are admitted to intensive care and given intravenous glucose because their blood sugar remains low - a condition doctors call hypoglycaemia.

The study assessed whether treatment with dextrose gel was more effective than feeding alone at reversing hypoglycaemia.

Neil Marlow, from the Institute for Women's Health at University College London, said that although dextrose gel had fallen into disuse, these findings suggested it should be resurrected as a treatment.

We now had high-quality evidence that it was of value, he said.

Andy Cole, chief executive of premature baby charity Bliss, said:

"This is a very interesting piece of new research and we always welcome anything that has the potential to improve outcomes for babies born premature or sick.

"This is a cost-effective treatment and could reduce admissions to intensive care services, which are already working at high capacity levels.

"While the early results of this research show benefits to babies born with low blood sugars, it is clear there is more research to be done to implement this treatment."
