faithin9ja: Personally I never criticize innovation, afterall necessity is the mother of invention, but we must call a spade a spade. By using BIS bandwidth, we are using RIM servers, RIM service is cheaper essentially because of the technology they deploy. All over the world as far as I am aware BB is has cheaper data plans than the normal 3G plans used on other phones.

But those using this 'work-around' must admit they are trying to beat a system and cut corners for personal gain. How does this make us better than any of our politicians. With this type of mindset when we too get any type of position or power, we will continue to cut corners.

I comment on this forum on political matters and I have been accused of being a GEJ or PDP apologist, when actually what I am saying is Nigeria deserves the leaders we get, when we the populace are all individually corrupt (I include myself). The sooner we realize this the better for all of us.

perhaps i was a bit unfair in my earlier generalization, it was borne out of the contact i've had with a number of them.

I still insist, however, that for some of them, its a matter of unjustifyably living beyond tier means.. Take for instance the items i bolded in your quote above: 1,500 for BIS, 3K for calls, 2k for chicken?? As a copper, one does not have the luxury to indulge as one wants. Its essentially a period for roughing it out, stripping oneself of frivolities and basically just trying to keep body and soul together.. God helping them, there will be time for all of the goodies of life, but NOT during service year.

I happen to have some of them at my organisation and wonder where they get the money to do all they do. ladies want to have the latest hairstyle, latest bags, shoes, eating at choice eateries, the guys must shayo every bleeping night!

I understand what you are trying to say.I met a few of them in camp.guys dat will be in a queue under a scorchy sun to collect eBa and Would later take girls to mami to spend lavishly..what I want to understand is that,anyone dat drinks every night and is a corper must have another means.d allowee is not even enuf for the basic things,not to talk of shayo n carrying Olosho.

Raxxye: Why should they stop work for not being paid April allowance when May has only just gone half-way? In as much as I am not in support of the delay in the payment, I think the corpers are rather too hasty in that decision to stop work. Every part and fabric of this country seem to be getting it all wrong direction! SMH
