But how. I would like to know. Seriously. Jibes aside.

If you are talking about emergency reaction, pls say so. We can speak to that.

I don't have to show anything hence my sarcastic reply to his comment which apparently triggered some words I couldn't decipher. This is becoming too juvenile for me to engage in ..when you are done translating, let me know

Oh yes you do.

You clearly said Nigeria failed Joshua. How, you can't say. You start escapism. Abeg shift and go and sit down wella. We can see your lack of logic miles away.

Comprehended, good Doc?

I will add my own.

Pretending not to understand pidgin English as an insult when bested by logic is dim.

The interstates should have ambulances even before residential areas due to the traffic, road conditions, and distance to hospitals. On remote American roads, there are ambulances.
+
I know, my point is, on such highways, reaction is still likely to be well delayed. Especially if its really far from an urban area (which in this case I dont really think it was too far from to be fair to you).

I don miss your yabbis on my psuedo philosophical/ theological debates oh.

Nigeria did not happen to him. Let's put the blame where it actually should be. The driver drove recklessly. Where the government should be blamed is leaving a broken down vehicle on the same spot for more than 24 hours.
+
Exactly. Even if we must also admit that the presence of that vehicle in itself was not the defining point. Because it could be there for even fifteen minutes and a reckless driver could run into it. Anyone who drives knows that running into a stationary vehicle at high speed while overtaking calls into question the driver and his driving.

Is having stationary trucks on the highway normal?
+
It happens all the time everywhere in the world. If a truck breaks down, it may take some time to tow away and the accident could happen in that window.

Look - two things - do you drive? If you do, you surely know that to run into a stationary vehicle in broad day light while overtaking at speed, there must be an element of serious reckless driving.

The ambulance situation is so embarrassing. They had to move an injured person, without medical personnel, into a fucking SUV!!
+
Long time, Mr. Man.
How you dey.

Well, sad as it is, let us bear in mind that that was an inter-state high way and along such high ways you cannot really expect the same emergency reaction you would expect within an urban area. Even in a developed country such as the US there are interstate highways where emergency reaction will be well delayed.

Before you bite my neck, I am not saying there should not have been suitable emergency frameworks in place oh.

No emergency response, no ambulance, in such a deadly situation, this is a disgrace!!!

Even though I have long known of this, I am partial to leaving people to freely pronounce as they see fit especially where the spelling lends itself to the pronunciation they choose and in light of the fact that English is a foreign language to most people in this part of the world.

No Frenchman for example goes about telling an Englishman that the correct pronunciation for Paris is Pari. This little example goes to show that language is dynamic and malleable and people are in fact entitled to mold it to suit themselves - and this is why we have many distinctions between written and spoken British English and American English. The Americans spoke and wrote it as they felt comfortable and it became standard, accepted and right for them.

Left to me, I would change the spelling of something like "Elephant" to "Elifant" for example, and remove letters which are silent in the pronunciation of certain words such as the "p" in psychology and the "b" in debt.

Jakumo:
Of course Uncle Sam must recoup his gigantic cash outlay in the form of favorable pricing when purchasing Nigeria's highly prized Bonny Light crude petroleum oil, but then, there can be no more patriotic an application of a nation's resources, than to cover the cost of security for its citizens AND for visiting foreign investors.

Nigeria's petroleum crude oil exports, most recently quantified as 1.5 million barrels daily in December 2024, and priced at $77 per barrel that year, translates to a hard currency export earning of $117 million USD per day that is THEORETICALLY paid into Nigeria's federal coffers.

With this magnitude of hard currency income stream accruing on a daily basis, Nigeria can easily afford to set aside a few days worth of oil export proceeds as its anti-terror war-chest from which the US Department of War can be reimbursed to cover at least part of the dollar price tag of all missiles that are devoted to eradicating Islamist terrorists and other destructive vermin from Nigerian soil.

In the ego boosting of Trump and in back door electoral, oil and mineral deals.
