Cocolatti: There is nothing like ancestors spirit. Your forefathers made a covenant with a Demon which they call Ibegwu. Even though they are now dead but the demon behind the covenant is still alive (demons don't die) to enforce it from generation to generation. . Can I ask you a question. The covenant the Jews say they have with one entity called Yahweh. Is that also a demon? |

Broveens42: Not just parts of kogi...some places in the old eastern region(first men on earth) have this deity that punish men whose wife have unrestricted access to other men. The punishment comes when you go into a covenant with the gods through the traditional rites of wine and kola (What the early men copied as feast of the dead and modified by the Romans as the celebration of bread and wine) Igbos were the first men on Earth? Where else have I heard that. Yes, Ile-Ife. So which is it. Or everyone just claims as they like. |

Ibegwu does not kill the unfaithful partner but the innocent one. How then has he dealt with the adulterous woman? By making her a widow? Someone that already has a lover outside why would you think she minds. |

GanagiBitrus: All what you have listed could be exactly how the DESIGNER intended it to be. So it's perfectly according to HIS design specs.
The DESIGNER could have opted to create a human being that is immune to diseases that could live eternally, but opted for a design that allows the human to suffer adversities & gave him the ability to ultimately cope with such adversities.
You see, what you consider imperfect is something that falls short of your own or human expectations ¬ the expectations of the DESIGNER. This is just wishful thinking, assumption and speculation. |

AMINDA: If at 43, Elrufai was already a minister and DG BPE before that and in the conversations as a prospective president, then he hasn't done bad for himself. Obasanjo alluding to the need for Elrufai to "mature" may simply be referring to Elrufai's penchant for being vocal and blunt to the letter "T". An attribute that is a crime in today's murky world of Nigerian politics. Whatever reason anyone may cite to pass up on Elrufai, it cannot be for lack of competence nor the ability to deliver. His public service records remain unbeatable. He can be quite extremist though. |

Mathewrichard99: Just imagine for a minute that the coup went well as planned by the Coupists.
There would have been jittery and uproar all over Nigeria and the world. We would have been back to the era of my fellow countrymen, I lieutenant Ahmad Abubakar or whatever name from the North would have come out to address the citizens.
He would have spoken with a fake direction of reviving the country from mismanagement, corruption, insecurity, hunger, poverty and nepotism.
He would have said all government departments remain closed until further notice but everyone should continue their normal legal activities.
He would try to buy some regions for supports and their understanding, especially the regions that has been marginalized over the years. He would set Nnamdi Kanu free immediately, set some other arrested militants free in all regions.
The citizens would have been in the euphoria of mix reaction. The Northern region would definitely be in jubilation, probably funfair all over the northern cities.
The North Central would be in a state of quietness, uncertainty and definitely sad.
The South West, due to the fact that the incumbent president was from their region. There would be much anger, protest in some areas and probably a shout to the United Nations to activate sanctions against Nigeria over the new khaki boys. Many emergency activists would emerge and definitely a replica of the nineteen seventies and eighties would emerge In the South West.....
South East, due to the setting free of their people especially Nnamdi Kanu, some would embrace the Coupists. Jubilation will spread all over the South East. They will momentarily forget about Biafra.
The South South region will turn out to be the most peaceful.. The oil bunkerers dealers will probably resume their activities in full force depending on the orientation of the Coupists. The ordinary citizens will remain calm while the politicians among them will start negotiating for appointments. South South definitely will be neutral to this anomalies.
May we never return back to Sodom and Gomorrah era..... The sad truth is that most Nigerians would have celebrated and that in itself is a tragedy. |

GanagiBitrus: The word PERFECT is subjective. What you consider as an imperfect design may be perfectly what the DESIGNER intended.
The slight tilt of Earth's axis may be considered an imperfection to the unlearned, but that's precisely what is responsible for the varying seasons & climates.
The "abnormal" expansion of water is what sustains aquatic life in cold weather condition. So many other examples abound. Why are you selecting convenient examples. What about bodies prone to disease is that perfect as well? What about cancer is that perfect as well? What about people born with congenital terminal illnesses is that perfect as well. What about natural disasters which wipe away millions of living beings in a flash, are those perfect as well. What about the unavoidable famines, droughts which cause untold suffering are those perfect as well. What about the frailty of old age is that perfect as well. What about the tendency of created beings towards evil, is that perfect as well. What about all the tragedy in the world is that perfect as well. I can go on and on, and yes I understand there will be philosophical excuses for some instances (e.g: natural disasters) but looking at the total picture it is clear we live in a most imperfect world and ain't nothing subjective about that. |

Obiedun: The data below exposed the poor mental and financial thinking of the Tinubu critics....
Ghana debt = $50billion Ghana population = 35million Ghana debt per person = $1,430
South Africa Debt = 300billion Population - 55million Debt per person - $5,454
Qatar debt - $93billion Population - 3million Debt per person - $31,000
Libya debt - $60billion Population - 7million Debt per person -$8,750
Saudi Arabia - $391billion Population - 54million Debt per person - $7,854
Gabon debt - $15 billion Population - 2.2 million Debt per person - $6,750
Egypt Debt - $261billion Population - 118million Debt per person - $2,300
Angola debt - $64billion Population - 39 million Debt per person - $1,680
Nigeria Debt - $100billion Population - 240million Debt per person - $414.
Na poor man and poor thinkers dey fear debt....
From the data above ... It's obvious that Nigeria doesn't have debt Crisis... What Nigeria have is revenue crisis....
Compare to it's peers globally.... Nigeria have the lowest debt per Capita on Earth
Tinubu directly and indirectly grew the revenue of Lagos by 28,000% in 26 years.... The first of it's kind in the whole of Africa....
With such a man as Nigeria president....
Tinubu would grow Nigeria revenue to a point where Nigeria can borrow enough to fix it's over $1trillion infrastructural deficits....

aylipple: Lol. I actually want GEJ to contest so that we can test something... Personally, I believe he'll lose woefully (3rd or 4th depending on if the race includes PBAT, AA, PO, RMK & GEJ).
His entry into the race will ruin PO's chances considerably as the SS & SE are his stronghold but with GEJ running, his support base will be limited to SE and if previous presidential polls are anything to go by, you can become president of Nigeria without winning or even scoring 25% of the total votes cast in the SE.
While it weakens PO & AA's chances in the SS to the advantage of GEJ, it helps PBAT's chances slightly especially in Rivers (the Wike factor & then the Ogonis/Riverine will vote massively for PBAT for obvious reasons) some parts of Delta (Itsekiri), Bayelsa (APC has a modest support base there not to mention that the Minister of State for Petroleum, Sen. Lokpobiri will be pulling some strings there too), Akwa Ibom, Cross River (not really expecting much from here but the combination of Gov. Otu & Min. John Owan Enoh may yet come in handy) & Edo (the Okpebholo effect) will churn out those numbers.
The battle will be fought & lost in the NW & NE and with a heavy financial war chest, I don't see how the coalition plan to outspend the APC (yes, money, more than ever before, will play the most important role in 2027 that's why the most impoverished the people are, the better for the incumbent. It's the unfortunate reality, sadly.
In the NC, APC will do better than in 2023 especially in Plateau, Kogi (Kogi West people will vote massively for APC than previous polls), FCT (with Wike as Minister and knowing his type of politics, PBAT will get at least 25% here) & Nasarawa. Unfortunately for the APC, they'll most likely not get as much votes as they did in 2023 in Kwara, Niger & Benue. The party will however get 25%. I predict that P.O will do better in the NC in 2027 than he did in 2023 only difference this time is PBAT will cover some grounds.
I expect AA to win convincingly in Niger, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Bauchi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Adamawa, Jigawa, Kebbi, Katsina, Yobe & Borno. It'll be a close contest between him & PBAT in Taraba & Gombe. Kano is too early to call as RMK's yet to decide if he'll be working with PBAT or he'll be running again; if the former, APC will win Kano with a moon slide but if the latter, PBAT & AA will have a photo finish of course, behind RMK. However, with the financial war chest at APC's disposal, PBAT may just weaponize the poverty prevalent in the North to his advantage.
In North - depending on states won - AA will come tops, followed closely by PBAT (all thanks to the better outing I predict APC will have in Kaduna esp. S/Kaduna, Plateau, Kogi, FCT, Taraba, Bauchi esp. S/Bauchi where Rt. Hon. Dogara hails from) then GEJ, PO & RMK.
In the SW, I predict that PBAT will have a better outing than he did in 2023 then followed by either GEJ or PO then AA & RMK.
Overall, I predict that GEJ & PO will either come 3rd or 4th in no particular order. The real contest will be between AA & PBAT. Interesting analysis. However, in any scenario where the opposition don't unite, the election will be won by BAT. |
