plaetton: Salutations sir.
Even when put in my own words, there is no claim I made here for which modern empirical studies do not support.
Catscans, MRIs ,etc, show us that all emotions and mental experiences carry or are simply unique electrical signals or impulses. As PastorAIO has already said, co-relation is not causation. I wanted to ask you how you can prove that the electrical signals observed are the cause of emotions/ thoughts etc, rather than the effect of them, for example? Mind you, I do not say that they are the effect. I only ask a theoretical question to advance the point that corelation is not causation. |

epainos: Since the last week of last year, these mobile operators have been providing poor service, including serious Internet connectivity issues. I suppose it is their way of demonstrating to the government that they are serious about this increase.
Personally, I am not surprised because the moment the government removes subsidies in many areas (which we know we cannot afford again), we will undoubtedly begin paying the debts of those who have passed away. Lol. Who the heck do you expect to pay back all the debts?
Plus government is still looting steadily. Lol. It then places an extremely heavy burden on Nigerians. Of course, this is how it will be for a long time. The debts we accumulated from the early 1980s, when the military took over Nigeria, until now are enough to weigh us down. However, continuous looting is suicidal.
Nigeria's situation is unlikely to improve anytime soon. Yes, read my words again. Nigeria will not improve for many people; however, only a few will begin to grow. Two groups of people will become wealthy: politicians and anyone involved in business innovation, data, or oil-related activities.
Yes, credit facilities will become available soon, and they will be a trap for the majority of Nigerians. Most people borrow from paid apps and never pay back, as is customary in Nigeria. Lol. By the time the government introduces credit options, over 95% of Nigerians will be trapped and become slaves in their own country.
As I always advise, run and buy about 6 plots of land now in any location very close to development (maximum of 10 years, the area should be populated...not inside any bush), fence it in, install a borehole, build a small bungalow without furnishings (even a security house attached to the wall is acceptable), and begin growing your food there. Grow more than 80% of your food to save money and live longer.
Nigeria is not going to improve for many people anytime soon, but believe me, those involved in data, oil, and artificial intelligence will enjoy it.
Good luck to you all. OBJ Cleared the debts from the 80s. |

I honestly tire for sexual abuse allegations that only tend to pop up decades later specifically just when the accused has hit big time in life or just about to have their biggest career success. Many of them thus tend to seem mercenary and make it difficult to distill the actual genuine cases from the gold-fishing extortion scams. |

Angelfrost: I get your point... But it seems you have missed mine.
I have nothing but love and joy for the giant strides happening in Lagos, it's good for the nation.
But, what about the other 30-something states?!! What is happening with them?!
I am not demanding that they become on the same level as Eko... That's not possible.
However, I expect some level of growth in terms of infrastructure, economic activities, commerce, and industrialisation.
It's like Toronto being the all and above in the whole of Canada, or New York being solely growing in America. Sure, they need to step up, big time. Restructuring the nation towards true fiscal Federalism will be key. |

E come be like say na only LAGOS dey this country o.
Other states just dey low key. Comparing Lagos to other states is not quite right. Its not apples for apples. I cant remember how many other states had the privilege of being our Federal Capital for almost a century. I dont know how many other states are the economic capital of Nigeria. Its really not a fair comparison. Lagos is special and will always be special and in a league of its own. |

Actually, This Nikola Tesla prediction was made in 1926 not 1963, and it was very detailed and accurate
Coming from Tesla, I would believe it, but if it was just a random wish like Martin Luther's, I wouldnt believe that nonsense
Like those before him, Tesla trusted the future knowledge of the next generation of scientists to advance the mission of wireless transmission
Dont forget Nostradamus, he is biggest prophet since Yeshua Nostradamus was no prophet. He simply put together words in cryptic verse which could be interpreted to mean anything suitable with the passage of time. I have his full prophecies right here on my bookshelf and I can tell you it's BS. There is a way you can write a thousand funny statements and all you need to do is wait one hundred years. Many of those funny statements will be cited as fulfillment of prophecy. It's called probability. |

This was the same clown who publicly expressed his desire to sleep with Ayra Star on Twitter. It's unacceptable and shameful. The fact that he's misusing his family's influence and power in Uganda is disturbing and I am so certain that he has virtually slept with everything in skirt in Uganda. He might even be worst than Baltazar Ebang, the only difference is that he might not have recorded it as Baltasar.
While I may have my reservations about Nigeria, I'm certain that no children of Nigerian presidents would ever make such a reckless stûpid statement. Dem no born you well make you try am here.
Museveni has really destroyed Uganda. I pity them Ugandans. There are indeed somethings that just don't happen and CAN'T happen in Nigeria. Such as a person being president for 40 years. The longest straight we have had is eight years (OBJ had three before as a soldier and Buhari two). It speaks to the level of competition in this space. You will fall down. |

Are they representing the Palestinian people or just adding to the problems of isrealis and a much more bigger problem for Palestinians? Sincerely I wasn't addressing the question of whatever crimes the OP refers to. My concern here was this particular deployment of the word "terrorist. . ." There is a saying that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter and this is the context in which I mentioned Nelson Mandela. Think about it. It's easy to demonise your opponent by the careless use of that word. Anyway, I wasn't referring to whatever particular incident occurred in the OP. This is because I have noticed the tendency of the poster I was responding to, to call all opponents of Israel terrorists. He and many others who see nothing wrong with anything Israel does no matter how extreme. |

Further the Bureau of Public Procurement Act requires competitive tender and bidding ahead of selection of contractors. Neither of these were complied with. He just woke up suddenly and gave that sort of contract to his personal friend. To those who say its allowed to award a contract to a friend, perhaps they should know that that friend is also a convict. He has been convicted in both the US and Switzerland of serious financial malpractices. So what does this picture paint?
