In light of the buirning issues in the country, the questions being asked are so pathetically soft-ball and shameful. |

seunmsg: Arise is owned by a PDP member named Nduka while we have other opposition stations like AIT and Raypower as well. Does that mean it must take him one and a half years to have a first encounter with the media? You guys admire western democracy, and you see the way even Presidents and Prime Ministers are interrogated by the press (and they make themselves available constantly). But here, because you worship a criminally corrupt, entitled and disdainful leader whose policies continue to kill thousands of people in this country, you feel its ok for his majesty to ignore the media for one and a half years straight. You people are slaves who dont deserve freedom. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu: Presidential Media Chat (Live Update) by DeepSight(m): 9:18pm On Dec 23, 2024 |
LandMann: The issue is that this is a prerecorded, and carefully edited interview. Tinubu will not be asked sensible and burning questions about issues facing Nigeria and Nigerians and any dumb response he gives will be carefully edited to remove any blunders. Worse of all, Tinubu will be given all the interview questions to prepare ahead of time. Tinubu doesn't have the mental and physical strength to face a live interview of this magnitude. Tinubu is a disgrace. He ought to be in old people's home, managing his health with the stolen wealth he's amassed over the years instead of trying to strangulate 200 million+ people with poverty and hardship inducing policies. Period. This is the pure and simple truth. |

You are obviously not serious if your argument is that the President should only have media interaction with obviously subservient agencies. You are a joker. I didnt mention any particular name. If you have an issue with Rufai, you are entitled to. However to ignore and avoid the entire press, speaks for itself. |

casualobserver: Did he not win? Did Monday not win EDO despite blanking Arise TV? People who win elections understand their electorate and dont pander to the hostile minority who don’t determine outcomes. All the english speaking wannabes are less than 10% of the population but you ascribe to yourselves more importance in the democratic process than the reality. APC knows the votes are in the villages and rural communities and they don’t watch Arise TV. What did it benefit Obi in the end attending English speaking interviews and debates to appease the pretentious 10% most of whom don’t come out to vote?
When you win (it is only the person who wins the election that can have presidential media parleys). You can talk to them.
Sentiment and emotions do not win elections. Tinubu is holding presidential media parley, Obi is making himself a nuisance on Twitter to remain relevant. If its only NTA and Radio Nigeria there, thats BS. |

I knew that this man will determinedly never face the press till he leaves office. So when I saw this title, I thought I had been proven wrong. But alas! Its NTA and Radio Nigeria! So I remain right!
Post Interview Edit: It wasnt NTA/ Radio Nigeria as said in the OP. It turned out to be a mix of private sector journalists, but was still an obviously pre-recorded and managed session in which no serious questions were put forward and addressed. |

Breaker001: Biden is only trying to be smart by half. Even the unlearned knows that this move is a cover up for the fact that he used his presidential powers to free his son. But the problem is; why free such hardened criminals from a death sentence they rightly deserve, including freeing a person who killed both mother and child, all within three days. Why? For those of us who dont believe in the death penalty, not even Adolf Hitler will be sentenced to death. Worst case, you get life without parole. |

rinzaugustine: Tinubu was the worst performing governor of that set. He did absolutely nothing to improve the Lagos that was bequeathed to him as former federal capital territory where hundreds of billions of dollars was spent on infrastructures during Nigeria oil boom from 60s to 90s. Infact Olagunsoye Oyinlola started operated sweep and marwa took over, improved it and made Lagos one of the most secured cities in the world then but when tinubu took over in 1999 he allow that security structure to collapse. The crime was so high that a lot of investors, expatriates like the fawaz family from Lebanon and others ran away from Lagos under Tinubu. It was Gani Adams that saved the situation by forming OPC security outfit run privately by a group of Yoruba vigilante men to return sanity to Lagos. Tinubu did absolutely nothing., built no schools , many roads he inherited from federal government were allowed to become dilapidated. Lagos picked up under fashola, continued by Ambode and maintained by the current person there. Tinubu was more engrossed in his political fights to secure his position fought akerele, Obasanjo, Funsho Williams etc and wasn’t even concerned about humane welfare of Lagosians as to him that doesn’t matter They will tell you he created the "blueprint" for Fashola, Ambode, Sanwo-Olu and all future governors of Lagos. |

He picked up a piece of rolled up paper and shouted drugs. Luckily, I quickly told him to hand over the rolled up paper. On examining it I found out it was just rolled up piece of empty paper. I quicked showed all present that there was nothing in the paper. That was how they left my shop and drive off. You are very lucky. Because I am informed on good authority that these days they do not bother to plant anything but will bring out the "exhibit" from their pocket right in front of you and declare that they found it on you, which several of their colleagues will corroborate at once. |

Convicts don't ever owe up to their crimes
Try to visit a prison and ask around
They will all tell u, they were framed ni... This is a very dangerous mindset which is also used to lock up perfectly sane people in psychiatric institutions. The very statement "I am not mad" is seen as evidence of madness. Same as during the witch hunts in Europe, where denial that one was a witch was seen as evidence that one was a witch. Be careful sir. |

One wonders if people like nairalanda1 and the teenage girl naptu2 and others who keep campaigning for higher prices of PMS and other products can see the direct co-relation here. If they do not understand that people rush rice like this on account of the very price of rice, where a bag jumped from about 10k to over a 100k in less than 18 months, and that this was triggerred directly by the policies they advocate, then they will obviously also fail to understand why I used the word "murderer" in description of them.
But it is more than clear that people who advocate these policies are in fact killing thousands of other people.
Quite directly. |

There's no sane human that will be so callous to displayed this heights of insensitivity. I think the husband was just an oppressor hence she's celebrating her liberation from the clutches. Namaster: I will NOT be surprised if the story is true.
She's a 46-year old woman who still wears a gown with DROOPING shoulders and NO bra.
And now she's SMILING and STICKING her yansh to another man's dicck at her husband's FUNERAL.
It's a BLATANT disrespect of her late husband. She has ZERO regard for him or herself. Nonexisting1: Mission accomplished, unto the next man to unalive but the mumus dancing with her hadn't realized it. Bible says the devil roars like lion seeking for whom to devour but I strongly believe it meant to say woman and not devil. NEUDUDE: I'm not surprised, most women are callous and hate accountability... Imagine what this one wrote, still faulting a dead man, she just conveniently overlooked what the woman did and faulted the dead husband haha, walahi i no fit marry i swear lol There may be some cultural misunderstanding here: because Ghanaians in many places have a culture of literarily worshipping and celebrating death. |

aylipple: Poverty on the one hand but you can’t discountenance our culture for disorderliness, greediness & anyhowness.
If we blame it entirely on abject poverty, then we shouldn’t also blame those who have taken up arms to kidnap for ransom & rob people of their valuables due to lack of job & poverty.
As far back 2013, scores of people died in a particular state as a result of stampede during sharing akara (akara ooo!); was the poverty at the time worse than what Nigerians are currently passing through under this administration? Or is it those who inspite of the known risks to their own lives & that of others, go scoop fuel from a fallen tanker? Or the employee on a farm or supermarket who steal their employers’ eggs, foodstuff, designer bags & shoes in large quantities & blame it all on poverty?
We must learn to take responsibility otherwise we’ll keep blaming poverty for every bad thing that happens in this country. Fair enough, but you should know that there is an extreme that hideous policies can push the poor to where it becomes almost unreasonable to ask the poor to be reasonable. Hunger is not a reasonable thing. |

Beyond these statements of condolences & ad hominem, the law MUST be allowed to take its course against those who jeopardize the lives of others in the name of charity or poverty alleviation. So you mean you cant tell the root cause of these happenings? |
