Honestly. I dont know how people of faith and supposed good conscience can see a situation where an invading power directs a civilian population to Rafah for safety from its onslaught, and then comes to that city where they have moved to to slaughter them, and people of faith defend this.

And you too have to realize that the debt that has been caused by subsides as well as the corruption has caused a lot of harm and problems for our economy too

Plus it seems amusing that you think that my opinions can lead to the deaths of millions. You accure too much powers and gifts to me. Such is the power of allowing my opinions drive you to hatred and anger...for what end?
Dont be silly, its not your opinions leading to the deaths of people. It is simply repugnant to see a person who is insensitive to such deaths.
You are the clown who once claimed that all the corruption in Nigeria is caused by subsidies.

Says someone who just called me 'thoughtless, inept, and pathetic'

Again, you should not let the fact that things cost money make you so angry for...what?
You are dead to the amount of people who have died painful deaths as a consequence of these thoughtless elitist policies. And once you are insensitive and cold to that, I can never have any iota of respect for you.

As much as I love Nigeria, FG and Tinubu....

I don't like the fact that the man is like a cancer. He's inside and you don't know and he can manipulate anything and everything.

He's a civilian dictator. He dictates the terms.

This NLC will not strike up to 4 times in his 4 years of rule.

I already predicted it before he won. Have you heard from ASUU? He's extremely good with unions and fragmenting them.
They will not strike once.

This NLC led by the vulcanizer Joe Ajaero will never go on strike.

The hate is coming out. You should not let my opinions force you to hate me. You can be calm and rational, or just bitter. It;s on you man.

IN ten years , this would pass.
You need to reserve this preachment for yourself and let it be your therapy because you are the one who kept things I had forgotten about in your head.

You are also the one who sees every jibe as hatred. That is childish. You lack emotional maturity and intelligence.

nairalanda1:
The year we are walking away from things that don’t make us happy. The year we stop letting a piece of man disturb our piece of mind. The year we stop seeking validation from people that aren’t even valid. Never let a man pull you low enough to hate him... Now when we say “man” know that we are not just referring to a male partner in a relationship. We are referring to anything/anyone (partner, friend, family, job, etc.) that you gave power. Remember you have the power to put your happiness first, say NO, and walk away from all things that no longer serve you. So if you gave something power, became unhappy, and stayed; this quote probably resonates with you.

Have you ever allowed someone to pull you low enough to hate him? When you read that quote, did a person or thing come to mind? Yes/No? Hopefully it’s not someone that still has access to you. Two came to mind for me... not sure if I could use the word hate, but man did I dislike him and my old job A LOT.

Love and hate are opposites in the dictionary, but in my opinion they usually go hand and hand. Do you agree/disagree? Love is power and the only person or thing that probably has the power to pull you low enough to feel hate, is someone you believe you love or need. I needed my job because I needed money to pay my bills. I felt like my options were very limited and everyday that I reported to work, I lost a piece of my happiness. And that happiness wasn’t just lost at work. When you’re walking around with hate in your heart, you don't feel good about yourself which has a trickle effect on everything around you. Your finances fall, your up keep slows down, your energy decreases, and your focus is off. Why am I dressing up for this job? I don’t care about them. Why am I going above and beyond, it won’t make a difference? Why am I getting my hair done today, he ain’t taking me out. Hate requires energy and whatever isn’t good for you, doesn’t deserve your energy.

So before you feel yourself slipping, learn to walk away from relationships/jobs/things that no longer align with your purpose. Hate is draining of time and energy, and if your cup ain’t full, you damn sure can’t pour into anyone else’s
.

That is the problem you have. The fact is, you guys need to remember that this is a site. IN ten years, people would forget all about this chat.

You should not let people's opinions make you hate them.

All, in all, you should not let the fact that I disagree with you make you be abusive and immature over it.
This is one matter on which I am passionate on account of the suffering of the people. So there. No apologies.

For the record, right now, landing cost of fuel is N1100 . You all want to buy that fuel at N200 or less. That means government would have to pay at least N900 per liter for the fuel. The total amount spent...minus the massive smuggling...could eat up to at least 70% of our budget.
If the govt had not taken the irresponsible step of floating the naira immediately after removing the subsidy, that would not be the landing cost. Now please dont tell me you dont follow that.

nairalanda1:
And this is what you called me earlier

KInd of sad you did. Well, I am not a paid person, most of my views were formed over ten to eleven years of reading, trying to understand what the whole subsidy thing is about.

If someone's comment leads you to make the rather funny comment that they are 'paid propagandaists', at the end of the day, this isn't disagreement, this is abuse, and bitterness speaking. Especially since I am not paid by any government, nor do I work for them.

You see how anger can lead you to espouse lies and suchlike.?

Don't let people make you hate them.
There was a day when I asked you if you worked in the public sector. Rather than answer the question you returned the question to me. I answered it openly and frankly. And after hearing my answer you simply turned and fled. What would you make of a person who acts that way?

Frankly the inanity of what you put forward regarding the subsidy issue is just one thing, The second is the fact that you seem to have been brainwashed by IMF dogma (which has never worked in any developing economy in history - aside from the fact that they preach a different and more humane doctrine to western nations) - and this leads to the third fact - your complete coldness to the plight of the average Nigerian. You will have to pardon me for thinking you are paid to propound such things.

Finally, the fact that you went to dig up that quote shows you must be hurting. Pele. Ndo. Sorrry ehn. Try and resreve some of that hurt for the common man in Nigeria, almost all of whom have been flung far deeper into poverty by the policies of this government.

Actually, you do, and you are in denial over it.

If you didn't you won't be so abusive to me, like you did just now, where you implied i was deficient in my intellect....and could only produce good comments in a long while.

You do not have to allow people force you to hate them. But like most Nairalanders, you do.

Better wise up. If this site is making you too toxic, take a break, and do something else.

And it is still true that things cost money.
Whatever you think, I dont hate or despise you.

Does anyone really need to be told this? After this rainy season comes to an end, I will not take anyone who still complains of not having food to eat serious. The only reason anyone should not be farming right now is that they are financially capable to buy their foodstuffs at whatever price it is sold at the market. Anything less than that, go and farm!!!
This is stupid. You assume all of the population are land owners or can afford to lease land. What nonsense.

Let us not deviate from the topic. Who were the original occupiers of the land before the arrival of the Muslims?
The question you should ask is who were the original occupiers before a wandering group called Israelites claimed that their mountain deity had promised the land to them and instructed them to murder everyone there?

Yes, Canaanites.

My child, why make meaningless things so important to you.
Are you not ashamed of the things you write?
You lack wisdom.
I would be ashamed if I were you, believing as you do that a Jewish Rabbi is God, and that he impregnated a Jewish woman to give birth to himself and ensure his death in order to forgive the beings he created flawed for being flawed, and that he chose a group of them to be his special people, and instructed them to murder everyone on a certain parcel of land since he had promised it to them, and I sit around defending that claim in 2024.

I would be very ashamed if I were you.

And this is completely aside from the disastrous and lamentable ignorance you displayed when you asked what the borders of Israel as determined by the UN have to do with illegal settlements in the west bank. Only a capital ignoramus and first class illiterate could have asked that.
