PoliticsThe National Assembly Remains A Major Hindrance To Our Development! by dein77(op): 2:22pm On Feb 19, 2015
It's indeed sad. I'm yet a state a nation's National Assembly so powerful but useless than ours! These folks have all the constitutional powers to make and enact relevant laws capable of moving this national forward, but it's so dead to its powers. It's more concerned about its power than it is about its responsibility to the people of these nation. Well, what does one expect? Weren't they s (elected) from the generally corrupt populace? All the opposition lawmakers are equally dead to and are a huge disgrace. We hardly see them argue on matters of governance.

I was elated when serious considerations and wide consultations were made to amend some visible lacuna, plus adding/removing appropriate and current sections and clauses into the Constitution. But these guys had their own parochial interests in mind.

We have some issues that if not corrected, will never allow this nation to move forward: I was very angry to read these thugs didn't do anything as regards the notorious Immunity Clause, Devolution of powers, LG autonomy (couldn't believe some states, including mine, voted against it), official corruption, Fiscal Regime, etc.

Instead these comedians recently amended the Constitution so all past presidents, vice presidents, and all principal officers of the national assembly could be entitled to life pensions. Yes, LIFE PENSIONS! ! Was the average created merely for food?

These are the main issues dragging us backwards. There's little any president, no matter how saintly he is, can do when we such an anti progressive system in place. We have a faulty structure, and until these issues are dispassionately dealt with, WE ARE GOING NOWHERE!

It's so sad that while these thieves are amongst the less productive lawmakers in the world, they allegedly earn some of the most outrageous and ridiculous salaries ever known to lawmakers.

Our lawmakers have perfectly understood our collective stupidity, docility and weakness, hence this insulting news.

So even in the midst of austerity measures, our leaders keep feeding fat. ...

It's indeed true that the average black man lives to eat......

PoliticsGmb's Chibok Visit: Another APC Cheap Lie by dein77(op): 7:56am On Feb 19, 2015
Good morning people.

I'm truly happy to have seen through the APC prism of false information, cheap propaganda, lies and more lies. These guys almost won Mr over. Like a bird out from the nest, I'm happy and fulfilled to be amongst the true agents of change.

Many are gradually realising the APC is founded on lies. They just took this one way too primitive and deep.

Buhari was in Borno a few days ago. How no single bombs even went lends more credence to the fact the BH boys are more than an insurgency.

In a twist, we read from the lying crews Buhari was headed for Chibok, in what they termed a DARING move. Nairaland even had a few threads on it. The people's general was alleged to have even refused HTC cover, all in a bid to denigrate, discredit, malign and portray Mr President in bad light, and cause disaffection towards, but they scored an own goal. Without even allowing the feet of GMB to touch ground in Chibok, he was hailed as having visited community. What a haste to misinform! They were even more preoccupied with the cheap political points they would have scored in going to Chibok than the solace and joy that visit would have brought the community. Na the change be that! A change grounded in calculated falsehood!

In a greater twist, their media office has confirmed he didn't visit Chibok! Incompetence or another quagmire of falsehood.

A credible opposition need not go so low and deep in hate and propaganda as to discredit the current administration. Where that happens, the opposition becomes a mere conspiracy.

We shall continue to unveil, reveal and unearth all the lying wonders adeptly concealed by these broom wavers. Their cunning devices shall be frustrated and their evil counsels shall be turned into foolishness, and all flesh shall see their true colours.

GEJ till 2019.!

I'm happy an enigmatic brother, temporarily lost to the broom wavers, has finally come back home, and like the father of the prodigal son, we welcome him to our fold, and have him decked with royal apparel and shall kill the fattest calf on his behalf.

He wasn't meant for such a lying conglomerate of change chanters. His sharp mind was a contrast to the group he was. You're welcome Bro.

Many of us also almost towed his path. We wanted some change, but not a retrogressive one, filled with all sorts of old and corrupt thieves.

We retraced our steps as the real nature of the APC became clearer. We saw it as it were!

PoliticsRe: The Gospel Of Change According To "Saint" APC by dein77(m): 10:05am On Feb 18, 2015
The hypocrisy of the APC guys nauseates me to the highest heavens.

When one decamps to their side, they are hailed as progressives. When the reverse occurs, they are tagged FFK, or other derogatory terms. These swapping of allegiance happens all the time, and adds to the political intrigues.

What will happen to the APC if it experienced the kind of mass political exodus occurring in the PDP?

Information is power. It brings changes. I know my brother Barcanista. He's not decamp in because of any pecuniary interests or benefits. It simply dawned on him he was on the wrong side, and quickly retraced. It's allowed.

Welcome back Bro. This fold is where you belong, not some broom waving group.

Respect Muslims and their faith and leave them to their conscience.
Let the Muslims first and foremost leave others to their faith and conscience.

PoliticsRe: Assault On The Seat Of The Presidency by dein77(m): 7:28pm On Feb 17, 2015
I have raised a similar issue. Never in the history of our nation has a sitting President been subjected to such lampooning, insults, indignity and denigration. This is beyond politics; it's primitive conspiracy.

This isn't politics at all.
PoliticsGEJ VS GMB: Where Does Soyinka Stand? by dein77(op): 2:32pm On Feb 17, 2015
I really need to know. I'm a keen admirer of the person of Soyinka. He's been a relentless critic of our government. He's been doing that for decades. He's a clog on the wheel of bad governance and corruption.

But in recent times, I'm getting a bit confused on whose side he's on, as par the forthcoming elections. He's created some kind of confusion amongst his ardent followers, or at least, to me.

Recently I read an article where cchronicled the many sins of GMB. He really did a good job on that article. As a matter of fact, that article informed me more on Buhari than any other article or book. He plainly crucified Buhari. In that article, Buhari shouldn't even be considered. He called Buhari the worst dictator after Abacha.

Now, it's about the ineffective and slow leadership style of GEJ. He gave reasons why GEJ is equally a bad option. His recent article on GEJ is in the public domain.

The question be say; which side is he? Sitting on the fence at this critical point of our national life is petty and selfish. So much confusion these days!
