FamilyRe: What Is The Most Hurtful Thing Yr Parents Told You Out Of Anger? by dein77(m): 6:18am On Nov 20, 2014
A lot of hurtful words were hurled at me. The most painful was: 'you're of no use to me'......

Those words really diminished my personality. They gave me an unhealthy self esteem.

I was compared with other kids. I was being constantly disgraced. I was alone.

Today, by His grace, I'm useful, not only to my parents, but to the larger society.

As I became born again, I had to forgive them and move on. Today, my parents see a loving, helpful, and wealthy son in me.

However, due to the pains I experienced as a kid, I grew up never insulting people. Till death, I prefer the rod over the words. Words kill slowly!

Being insulted by those who are supposed to be your friends and parents can be a terrible experience.

Today, no matter the anger, I will never hurl insults at my kids. My wife won't even dear because she knows how angry I can be with her.

God has blessed me according to my wish. I had always wished to have a son first, then a daughter. That's exactly how it happened.

But in retrospect, I would have preferred the reverse.

FamilyWhy Do People Enjoy Opposing Others' Choice Of Spouse? by dein77(op): 8:05pm On Nov 18, 2014
I really find it worrisome when people oppose others' choice of spouse. It's really sad.

I knew how some of my relatives initially oppose my wife. All manner of selfish and narrow reasons where brought forward. I was really passed off. The worse is, it's even our sisters that make matters worse. My brothers never had any issues with my choice. They believed I was making the best choice. My elder sister was a serious stumbling block.

It's inconceivable why I won't be comfortable with anothe person's decision about whom to get married to. If I do, I must give very cogent and compelling reasons. Even at that, I will only pass it off as an advice to my brother or sister that's getting married.

Some people just can't allow others to live their lives. This is wrong!

Why do people usually oppose others' choice of spouse? The convincing when I give my people no be small!!!!

Is there any place where the bible condemned anyone who didnt sing the anthem of his country. Even though the bible said we shld submit to our govt, our govt didnt make it an order that everyone must have to sing the anthem. So deal with it.
Bible enjoins us to obey constituted authorities. Period.

It happens when a person refused to donate a pan of blood so as to save another person. At least so they say.

It's really weird. They're supposed to be a sourceof eencouragement and inspiration, but they've proven to be the opposite.

I can't really put a finger as to why it is this way. But one thing is sure: they discourage you from taking risks. More or less like their over protectiveness becoming a stumbling block to your increase and growth.

Exactly the reason I keep a lot of them out of the loop whenever I'm trying to venture into some kind of business.

I have a reason for this thread, and it's got nothing to do with logic or whatever.

What on God's beloved world is a Lemon Apron? Photos?
Honourable vooks, good morning.

I may not have framed my question any better than it already is.

Members of the Church in question conspicuously wear lemon coloured aprons all around.

I do not have photos now.

I have been to your worship centre at Ijesha on the persuasion of a close personal friend. The person does not have a good appeal. There was also a confession by a lady about the church. I think it is on youtube.
Leave Sis Linda and her confession alone. Any message that creates confusion in the Church can NEVER come from God.
FamilyRe: My Wife Is Treating Me Shabbily. by dein77(m):
I still hold my earlier position: women aren't fools: they simply pick holes in our attitudes and then pay us in very our own coin.

I believe only a tiny number of women pretend into marriage. It's the same with men. People will almost certainly continue in their natural attitudinal trajectory until someone or something forces them to assume a new identity. That new identity is more or less an adaptation feature- something to help them absorb the new shock and defend themselves against it.

Summary, OP should still look within!

I made a similar thread some months ago. I . continued enjoying the comments from most people as they confirmed my inner desire to throw myself in a better light. But soon, a very brutal and true comment came along. The person was so blunt to me. She suggested I should look within. I was livid. Her truthful comment tormented my ego.

Well, in humility and honesty, I looked within. I spotted the problem was me. I addressed it, and the peace that had taken a sabbatical leave returned to me....

While there are some very difficult and verbally abusive women, in most cases, the men have actually brought their new behaviour forward.....

the apron is only use as a tool to advertise the advance of an up coming mega crusade of the church, people wear those aprons on the days of the crusade and the g.o while saying prayers blesses them along with handkerchief and all items present as tools of miracle. Alot of testimonies of miracles have been told of people actually get miraculous healing from applying the aprons, and so those who have the aprons just become fond of putting them on even on normal days. It is not an item of worship.
Thanks for taking the time to enlighten us, especially me. Some others may have resorted to abuse and insults!

We are clearly being admonished to preach the Word to every creatures, and Christ will definitely be happy and fulfilled seeing we are obeying His mandate. Keep the good works.

This thread was created due to some unfounded stories surrounding the use of the Lemon Apron. I also believe it the colour was chosen due to its catchy nature.

Once again, thanks for the Christlike reply.

The funny twist to this matter is that our second child whom we are carrying this procedure out on, who precipitated the thread, did not allow us to sleep yesternight as he screamed for his thumb. Christianity EtcThe Lord's Chosen And Their Lemon Apron: Isn't It Idolatry? by dein77(op): 4:59pm On Nov 17, 2014
Good people, good evening,

A few years ago, when my attention was first drawn to this their Lemon Apron, I thought it was deployed as an evangelism tool. I had thought it was mainly to attract people to their crusades. But now, members wear their aprons almost everywhere and every time.

Someone recently told me they wear them to interviews, offices, wear them while asleep, etc. I don't know how true it is.

There's a very tiny line between serving God and idolatry. We should endeavour to draw all attention to Jesus Christ, instead of to our churches and bishops.

Members in the house should enlighten us.

Shalom!
