Jim Jones comes to mind! |
It's very possible, but the abuser must be willing to change their violent behaviours. Behaviours are learned, and can be unlearned. I though this is contrary to popular opinion, but it's the truth. |
AgapeCharis:I was waiting for your last paragraph. |
AgapeCharis:Bro, it's actually not that easy. Shalom we continue in sin that ggrace may abound? |
ohaleoghene:Thank God your sister was wise enough to do what was necessary to ensure her safety and that of her kids. We rejoice with her. Children are the best gifts a woman can have! |
My wife also believes it's true. Men, one day, I wan give my wife a hot kiss.....just a kiss ooo. She no gree at all....and I was in da mood....my lips were already salivating before I was brutally disappointed. ... Me no believe am shaaaa |
A man of uncommon vision and courage! He prized his values above his very life. Only a life lived for higher ideals is worth living. Ken will always have my honour anyday, anytime. |
Icherishu:Dear, I have two kids, and my have had them both through CS. |
Icherishu:In stupidity she has killed her baby! I hope she had asked God to forgive her murder? Many women are believing God for the fruits of the womb, and then some dumb ones are killing theirs. By dear, it's not actually a matter of lack of faith; it's application of wisdom. |
Kimoni:The aim of this thread isn't actually to name a parish or denomination that sanctions such a message, but to make Christian women aware of what's happening as per this CS matter. I personally will be very reluctant to bring any parish or denomination into the spotlight for such a thing. I worship with the RCCG, and I can categorically tell you I haven't heard such doctrine emanating from any RCCG branch. |
adebisicutie:It happens daily. People keep endangering their lives due to ignorance, and sometimes, stupidity. |
bukatyne:Very correct. It's just natural that others will do our thinking if we don't do it ourselves. In this era, every Christian should take more time and pains to carefully see God's will for their lives. We need to study to show ourselves approved to God. If we don't study it, then we are easy preys for false teachers to deceive. |
It depends on the uniqueness of the home. For me, I do send money to my parents with my wife's consent. It's just normal that the both parties sshould be in the know. Now that doesn't mean I tell her whenever I send every naira, but if the amount is so substantial it may affect our budget, then I MUST tell her. Even if it was sent earlier without her consent, somehow I will still tell her. We talk a lot. |
bukatyne:Thanks for the reply. |
crackhaus:This is serious! |
Lord, today, I pray You give Nigerian masses the courage and oneness to oppose their evil leaders! Give us the bravery to protest corruption and bad governanc. |
Ignorance kills faster than EBOLA. I'm yet to understand the depth to which many of us have been brainwashed by some spiritual leaders. Some pregnant will never entertain the thought of going through a CS to have their babies even when their doctors have advised them to do so. This is almost entirely due to the belief that it's unbiblical and faithless for a pregnant Christian woman to have her baby through a CS. This is purely nonsense! If the conditions surrounding the pregnancy deem it safe to undergo a CS, why would a woman do otherwise? This Hebrew women mantra is really endangering the lives of women and their babies. There's nothing absolutely wrong in women having babies through a CS. A woman living close toy wife's office almost killed herself when she insisted on having a vaginal delivery even when the doctor clearly explained it was risky to do so. She said her pastor had told her she must have a vaginal delivery. All efforts to.persuade her failed. An matter turn red, na emergency CS she undergo. She survived, but without the baby. Baby had died due to excessive distress. What foolishness! We should be very careful as to what we act on. The Bible that advocates faith, also advocates wisdom. Kids delivered through a CS do not have accompanying marks on their foreheads. There's nothing absolutely wrong with a woman having her baby through a CS. Shalom! |
kevoh:No mind them! Na vaginal delivery I put for my message oooo....This censoring is becoming unbecoming. |
Please, there's nothing wrong for a woman to have her kids through CS. Many women have endangered their lives by thinking it's not scriptural to have a Caesarean Section. A woman close to my wife's office nearly lost her baby and her own life because he insisted her pastor had told her she was going to have a vaginal delivery, even when the doctor has advised her to undergo a CS. This woman had to undergo an emergency CS when matter turn red. The baby, being distressed from an extensive labour, gave up minutes after the CS. What foolishness! The Bible that advocates faith, also advocates wisdom. I'm not saying Christian women shouldn't exercise their faith in vaginal delivery, but they must apply wisdom and caution. The only normal delivery is the one in which both baby and mothers are alive and healthy, either through vaginal delivery or a CS. Let's not risk the lives of our kids and ours by walking against wisdom. The kids delivered through a CS do not have an accompanying mark on their foreheads. Shalom! |
I lost my cousin on the 1st of this month. It's the most painful experience of my life. I was driving home on the evening of 31st, October, when a senior uncle called me. His voice appeared so depressed and weakened I thought it was stress. I knew something wasn't right when he asked me to pull over and that he wanted to tell me some bad news. I pulled over in panic. He told me my cousin, Dennis, had died. He was involved in a marine accident somewhere in Bayelsa. He was trapped in the inner room of the capsized executive boat. He was working with the DSS. We are still grieving. I couldn't even console the wife. What a tragedy! A vacuum has been created that will take us years to fill. I was so devastated at the news. The pains are unprecedented; the agony unbearable; the loss irreparable. He was buried last Friday evening. The entire community was turned into a sea of mourning. It was an untimely death. It's being gloomy for us. He laid motionless in the brown coffin as he lowered into the grave and finally had earth covered it. Dust to dust! I had lost DENNIS! I pray that God will not allow untimely death to be our portion. We shall meet God at old age. RIP, #DENNIS. |
I'm not so angry with the Pastor flogging them as I do with the erring members allowing him to do so! |
Sanchez01:It's Ok. Still studying your second post. Thanks for your time. |
God knows I'm really enjoying my marriage. It was a bit rusty at the beginning, but now the rough edges are no more. God, I receive more wisdom and humility today. |
This matter don cause some gbege between my wife and I when our son wanted to start school. I suggested he should start at three. She suggested he should start by a year and 6 months. After some compromise, we agreed him to start by 2 and a half years. In PH, it's like it's now a competition. Kids less than 2 years are rushed into the classroom. These kids are deprived adequate sleep and proper brain development. Some uniform be like buba! All in a hurry to have kids graduate by 14. I know kids mental abilities vary from one another. But there should be some safe periods kids should be introduced to the rigours of academic, plus the daily movement to and from school. PH traffic around Woji na die! When will you consider your kids mature enough for academics? |
Sanchez01:Bro, where you go na? Longest of times. I'm doing some more research. Pls supply more answers when you are in the mood to. |
The Church is the Body of Christ. It comprises all who have made Christ their Lord and personal Saviour. It's the assembly of believers. Christ is its foundation. The Church isn't the aesthetic and embellished building; it's not the physical structure. It's the conglomerate of all the children of God. Jesus is the Bridegroom of the Church. The following hymn perfectly describes the Church; it was composed by Samuel J. Stone. The Church's one foundation Is Jesus Christ our Lord; She's is His new creation By water and the Word; From Heaven He came and sought her to be His holy bride; With His Own blood He bought her, And for her life He died. Elect from every nation, Yet one o'er all the earth; Her charter of salvation One Lord, one faith, one birth One holy name she blesses Partakes one holy food, And to one hope she presses, With every grace endued. It's such a sober and solemn hymn, signalling the unity, challenges and eventual victory! |
I love all my siblings, irrespective of the fact we have different mothers. And I'm not even conscious of it; it flows naturally to them all. It's a practice in polygamy that one shows more love( if possible) to his brethren of a different mother. |
haffaze777:We no understand you ooo!!! |
Ironically, my wife and I have had more challenges when we have MONEY, rather than when we are broke. I'm yet to figure the way out of it. Maybe I listen less when I have more money. Money seems to have caused homes more troubles than poverty. |
Can a Christian involve in money lending business? Is it proper for a Christian to lend out a sum of money and demand a certain percentage paid back as interest? Brethren, your inputs will be appreciated. Thanks. |
italo:I think we should rather pay more attention to bridging this division. Honestly, I flow along with every Christian. But that's not the case with most Christians. |
italo:My guy, it's being a long time. Happy to have you here. The matter wey dry ground na serious one ooo |

What the hell is ''womanly delivery'' ? An important message is being passed across but the substance is always lost on Nairaland because of useless censorship. What is wrong with the medical term Va.gi.nal delivery? Mtcheew!
