In one of the quotes of Williams Shakespeare, “ingratitude is worse than a traitor’s arm”. It is pertinent to use this occasion to call on the attention of the state government to look into this great-man who brought Okoo Faji community to the centre stage of Encyclopedia and Amazon, Dr. Lawal Babatunde Adams. The Kosemani of Oko Faji, Lagos. He is worth to be commended for his relentless efforts, both home and diaspora.

An enigma with an immense outstanding personality. A very admirable, gentle fine man with a distinguished character. He had a most precocious growth and excelled in academics, connoisseur scholar, a prolific writer, historian, sociologist, politician and socialite, earned his innumerable streaks in the world.

As a pacesetter, he was able to set in motion and reposition the image of Oko Faji, support the indigenous Lagosians, served tirelessly, contribute to the social development of Oko Faji and Lagos state in general. He used his works to put some of our local indigenous communities on the world map.

He went out of his way to set up “Season Smiling” for the community to support less privileges and old aged vulnerable Lagosians with over 1000 beneficiaries. A man who always has the answers to your problems. Whilst you see the concern, he sees the prospect and the possibility. He will go out of his way to give you the best support possible. He is a perfect description of a joy giver, never one to be found in the court of bitterness and feebly compassionate, turn anger to laughter in seconds.

The enormous contributions of chief Adams to the cultural and historical heritage of his people earned him the title Koshemani Golden Son of Oko Faji Community, Lagos and his works on the promotion and propagation of Islam in Lagos state earned him a recent title 'Irawo Adinni Lagos Quranic Central Mosque'. A proud son of Isale Igangan and despite his exposures to the International world, he is always proud of his country (Nigeria).

He was clearly a shining light in those days at Ansar -Ud- Deen Grammar School, Lagos. He went to the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU) to study Sociology and equally went to the University of Lagos (Unilag) for his M.Sc. Criminology. Shortly, Lectured at the Lagos State University, Department of Sociology before being a consultant to Toronto University, Canada on community health development. To his credit, he has written and published many community books about Lagos state and its environment.

In Yoruba progeria, a king does not need to announce his arrival, aura will announce. The presence of this man of honour in any environment will illuminate it. Today, Friday 19th, May 2023, the aura sparks a brighter light as the Chief marks the Diamond Jubilee of achiever with more blessings and good health. Chief Adams's legacy shall speak for humanity and generations to come in the history of Lagos Islanders.

On this occasion sir, today, I celebrate you as sons and daughters of Okoo Faji community rejoice with you on your special day, wishing a most fulfilling happy 60th birthday!

Selected by a leading media outlet, Guardian Newspaper, Ogunsan who is the wife of Lagos businessman, entrepreneur and public officer, Ayo Ogunsan, has been recognised based on what the organisers described as her ‘remarkable achievements’.

Although a graduate of Biochemistry from the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU), she has, the most part of her life, holistically explored the tenets of Business Administration and Leadership pedagogy. • Orders Prompt, Arrest, Investigation of Culprits, Warns Non-State Actors

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, has condemned in its totality the callous attack on a United States Consulate convoy and the killing and burning beyond recognition of seven (7) persons including US Embassy local staff and Police Mobile Force Officers, and their vehicles, as well as the likely abduction of two (2) others, at Atani Osamale Road, Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, who were visiting the area to assess its proneness to erosions as part of their humanitarian efforts, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report. 

The IGP, while expressing astonishment at the attack, described it as a clear indication of the attackers' and/or non-state actors' callousness and an act of wickedness to humanity, most especially to their kinsmen who have been considered to enjoy aids and palliatives from the attacked diplomats. The act is indeed evil and inhuman.

The IGP has ordered an immediate full-scale investigation into the attacks and has charged the investigative team to ensure the culprits and their sponsors are arrested and brought to book at the earliest possible time. Similarly, the IGP warns all non-state actors to cease their nefarious actions as the Nigeria Police Force, in synergy with other security agencies, will not hesitate to clamp down on them and their sponsors to rid the nation of their unpatriotic and disruptive activities.

In the same vein, the Inspector-General of Police, while commiserating with the US Consulate on the brazen murder and abduction of her local staff, and the families of the officers who paid the supreme price, assures that all hands are on deck to ensure the rescue of those abducted.

The IGP while expressing the openness of the NPF to working with all foreign presence in the country to ensure the security of their assets and personnel, assures that the Nigeria Police is committed to the safety and security of all and sundry, including visitors and diplomats within the country.

I have always loved garri since i was a kid. My nickname all through childhood was omi-garri. Though my favorite food is beans but I would eat and drink garri in all forms and levels like no man's business.

This is not poverty speaking, because Glory to GOD, we have experimented with garri to such a level that we have discovered a "thing for eachother" .

But one disappointing thing about Garri na say once you drink the first glass, the second round no dey give too much joy. Garri why. Why. I wish l could explain my feelings but the second round of Garri dey be like girlfriend wey i catch cheating, the love no go be like before.
