"I have seen the Nigerian youth and they hustle. We live in a country where we suffer from lack of infrastructure and constant electricity, yet, many young individuals have found innovative means of surviving and making way for themselves. We don’t even have a system such as the ‘benefit system’ in the UK where the Government gives funds to low income earners. No option for laziness. It is ether you sink or swim in this country. And I think the creative industry isn’t taken as seriously as it should be in Nigeria. A lot of actors and models are extremely underpaid, which is why I always urge people to make sure they have an agency so they can represent them, otherwise, you could end up selling yourself short. For so long, women have been treated as second class citizens and not just in Nigeria, but around the world. We still have a lot of hindrances such as education and cultural factors but I am looking forward to the day we can see a female President in Nigeria" Simi Drey (Graduate of University of Wales) is a Journalist/ Activist/ Presenter/ Model/ Actress #plugkartelmag #Splufiknigerians IG: plugkartelmag @trekmag

It is a genuinely happy new month . You might have noticed that I have been streaming a few clean and clear live videos on Facebook. This is being done with our livestream camera. courtesy of Airtel. The real headache used to be getting a network provider with great internet speed and strength. This is not a paid hype for the network but I am quite excited about the fact that now, my ideas can actually flourish. *I can attend an event and let you share the experience right here on Facebook. *I can stream your event live on Facebook so that you reach more people in real time. *I can give you the soft copy of the streamed video(s) immediately the event is over (Nobody does that!) *A juicy part of the streamed video would be sponsored to reach more people that would be interested in your brand even after the live event. *I am a very reasonable girl, so I have pegged the cost at just #20,000 (extra costs outside Lagos). You are welcome. What are friends for? *Of course, I am a media personality, who would be very excited to grace your event with my presence. This is only a part of what the ‘Shop For Deals’ brand is really about. Watch out for its complete evolution. Please support the dream and share this information. To key into this , you can contact Ife Ajagbe(more than just the girl next door) on 07063642406.

Ever since relinquishing the Fly Boi brand to more popular music colleague, Kiss Daniel, not much has been heard from rising act, Wutah, until news of his recent project was announced. Titled, HighRay, Wutah describes the song as being inspired by his lover, who he describes as his High Ray, "My girl inspired me to do this new jam. A lot of guys have somebody special that always makes them feel on top of the world, and when you love a woman don’t be ashamed to show her off to the world." Produced by Musicmonstar and scheduled to drop on the 1st of November, Wutah claims the song only took him about 2 hours and 30 minutes to produce, write and record. Speaking on the loss of his initial brand name, Fly Boi Inc. Wutah is assured of a bright and positive future. "Yes, I used to own the Fly Boi brand, but since Kiss took it from me, I returned with Fyrenation Inc, which we started from the streets of iju ishaga but surely we'll take it step by step to the world"

Simi Drey, is a popular OAP, model and activist whose career in Nigeria media began during a summer internship at HiTV, after years of schooling abroad. Born Simileoluwa Audrey Adejumo, as the eldest of 5 children, the red carpet queen with a First Class Degree in Broadcasting, Journalism and Communications from the University of Wales, is arguably one of Nigeria's brightest media personalities. While crediting her big break to Ebony Life TV show, The Governor, where she plays the Governor’s daughter; Simi, who has since become more popular as a media personality and activist, shares a few tips to having a successful career in the creative industry, while commending the Nigerian youth for innovation. A lot of actors and models are extremely underpaid, which is why I always urge people to make sure they have an agency to represent them. Otherwise, you could end up selling yourself short." Asides entertainment, Simi, a recipient of the prestigious Trek Africa Award, and partner at the La Femme Foundation, an NGO raising awareness against violence and rape especially against women and children, amidst other projects; is encouraging the idea of more women going into politics. "For so long, women have been treated as second class citizens and not just in Nigeria, but around the world. We still have a lot of hindrances such as education and cultural factors but I am looking forward to the day we can see a female President in Nigeria" Describing the qualities she finds attractive in a man as fidelity, honesty and loyalty, Simi, was quick to be a life coach, adding that "Life is difficult, yes, but I honestly believe that we are never given more than we can handle; many of you out there are scared to take a step towards achieving your dreams due to the fear of failure. However, falling down or making a mistake is not failure. Rather, not getting back up is failure. Every successful person has gone through a period of uncertainty and sometimes their plans didn’t quite work out. However, perseverance and consistency is key. Keep dreaming big and never give up." @Dejiplug

The Justice Forum, a highly influential political group in Lagos state, today played host to prominent APC grassroots politicians, with the aim of connecting the House of Assembly aspirants and constituents. Highlight of the evening came with Alhaja Olaleye of the Justice Forum introducing members of the high table to the gathering. They included prominent aspirants to membership of the Lagos House of Assembly such as Abayomi Oluwajimi Bickesteth and youthful Adeyemo Adewale, among others. Bickesteth, whose humble arrival on a motorcycle had created a mild drama earlier, again captivated the crowd with an eloquent espousal of his vision of a developed Ifako Ijaiye under his watch, if elected. Adeyemo Adewale, a Computer Science graduate and businessman, is another interesting aspirant who appears to have endeared himself to vital stakeholders. The camaraderie that played out at the event, even among the aspirants, was impressive. With the elections holding next year, Bickesteth and Adeyemo, so far, have proved to be frontrunners in the race for the ticket to the Lagos Assembly. Dejiplug
