Latoya not acting up but I guess you've got a right perception and I think that's okay. Nothing more gal. |
@ Latoya - What if you get caught? |
joftech:That's very true. To avoid messing things up, SEPERATE! |
joftech:@ joftech - Let me say this, it's not in your place to check and confirm the justification of the collection of tithes and even offering in the church of God. Play your part and leave God to play his. |
I didn't finish the story of my friend earlier because I thought it wasn't necessary but becoz some feel getting the "kpali" would get them what they want maybe I should add this. My friend told me that there was this guy in his school who was fund of "seeing or settling" his lectures. He did this till he graduated and guess what he graduated with? A 2'1. Those who knew him where never envious of him. B4 the end of his youth service, a company seeing his great grade, called him for an interview. You know what he did? He ran to this my friend who graduated with a 3rd class to coach him on some things in Electrical/Electronics b4 the day of interview. My friend of course laughed at him and asked where he should start from? Engineers in da house, can you imagine that? It's not always about the "kpali" my guys. You got to have something upstairs. ![]() |
I scarcely read novels. I'd rather prefer to watch the movie if it's got any coz I'll always occupied. That doesn't mean I don't read at all. Right now, I'm reading "The 4th book in the Left Behind series titled 'Soul Harvest'" The book tells of a senior airplane pilot who was trying to ask his senior flight attendant out when suddenly over a 100 people or so on board got missing mysteriously. These books are really gripping and co-authored by Tim Lahaye and Jerrry B. Jenkins. I sure so recommend the series. |
Halleluyah on your behalf "jare" Latoya. |
I at least expected someone to congratulate the power sector first Anyways sha, action is what we need not a mere change of nomenclature. But then, I wish them the very best and don't forget it's gonna be followed by mass retrenchment from the former NEPA as new hands would be brought in. |
twinstaiye:Hey, I don't seem to understand that. |
IAH:IAH has said it. Ogunswale pls read thru this. I have a friend who read Electrical/Electronics and graduated with 3rd class and he's doing very well. But you know what? Practically this guy is a "GURU". So,if you're practically okay, you're sure to be somewhere. B4 this guy started up his own business, the last place he worked for 5yrs he got the job as a result of his practical ability which was one of, and the final stage of series of interviews he attended. Know that people who had 1st class, 2'1, 2'2 were also present for the same interview. In engineering your papers are not too important coz employers of labour are concerned doing the work. Above all stick to GOD |
1. To a large extent, it's true coz of the half baked graduate our high institutions pour out yearly. But that doesn't mean that it's all correct. 2. Personally, I don't believe in throwing blames but if I should point out some of the causes then I would say it's caused by:- (i) The govt's insensitivity to education. (ii) The present economy, which is really demanding. (iii) Many lazy undergraduates pay their way thru sch. if you know what I mean and at the end of it all they come out with great result that they can't defend. 3. The remedies of the aforementioned it's simply their opposites. Peaz out! |
Here goes mine A plaintain planter planted plenty plaintain in plaintain plaintation |
Chigszy:Hey chigszy, what's there in life that's not stressful? I think it's because of what you see other people go thru in their own marriage. I advise you tell yourself, yours won't be like theirs. And oh! don't 4get the originator of marriage is there to help you out, so consult him b4 you go into it. |
How many of us remember how much it was to get GSM when it first came to Nija? Most of us thought it was only for the rich but today what do we have? Even primary sch students use it. It's more like a toy these days. It might take some time but t'll sure become affordable to some extent with more licences given out. |
If he believes he could, why not? He might not become the president now, 2007 or so but consistency sure do count. No need to rush. I wish him the very best. We should all pray for a president who would salvage this great nation - NIGERIA. |
Hey, why hasn't anyone asked pinky if she belongs to the category of the hard to get? ![]() Play am small small and cool too ![]() |
Na waoh . Wher is this world going to oo abeg? Almost everything would become e- something. Anyway, inasmuch as hot-angel says it's been introduced already. Would anyone give it a try & give us a feedback. May be Oleku should try it out first. ![]() |
You see, I'm not crazy about living Nija. If God opens a way, I'll be glad but till then I'll continue to do my things here in this great country. If God wants me to make it here b4 I step out, fine. He knows better. |
"Give unto Ceaser what is Ceaser's and unto God what is God's"! Jesus said that and this is meant for those who said Jesus didn't mention anything about tithe. You pay school school fees and other bills, so you want to go to church and hear all the encouraging words of God FOC? Tithe is not much, just 10%. hey guys, c'mon. |
It's not right no matter what. So, stay clear such a thing . Have I made myself clear? ![]() |
@ Obong. Why not suggest a colour combination may be Nairalanders may start a push for a change of the Nigerian flag. ![]() Does nayone here have any idea if our leaders have said anything about this? |
1) If you didn't have sex with the elderly one, 2) If you have broken the first relationship with the sister 3) Becareful not to cause a tsunami in that family ! |
I would advise b/w 6 mths to 1 yr. But it depends on a lot of things. For instance, the levels of one or the two of them i.e either working or not, one party schooling, etc. |
Well well, getting married at first would afford you (the new couple) opportunity to enjoy yourselves. Very sweet at first but I think it's will be right to get married to someone you truelly love and would want to spend the rest of your life with pledging to yourselves to stick together during the ups and down. Get married because you love him or her and because God himself is the originator. |
The Nigerian flag is not very colourful, agreed but if we consider the fact that we are a multi-ethnic people I guess we should just leave it that way as someone already said that it's really going to be a rainbow colour. Those of us saying other countries changed theirs. May I also ask that we copy everything they do? Just because somene is doing something somehow doesn't mean you should just follow suit. |
What is the guarantee that if you sleep with her you will still go abroad to further your education? She might just be setting you up. Someone said you could tape record your conversations. That is wise but you really have to be very careful. Joseph in the bible passed thru the same experience and didn't succumb but he still got to where God had promised him. If you believe in God, don't do that! If God want's you to travel abroad he will still do it but if not, my bros, you go still make am for Nija [glow=red,2,300]Finally, pray without ceasing![/glow] |
kodewrita:@ Kodewrita, the problems are both religious and ethnic but here we are centering on religious. If they are only ethnic as you claim, why are religious worship places burnt down during violent periods. In the North where most of this violence occurs, they are predominantly muslims. Personally, you might not have any problems with religion but can you say that about every other Nigerian? |
Let me give you an example of a religious state that is prospering very well, ISREAL. Judaism plays a very active role in daily life and in government. Yet they prosper.@ Kodewrita. That state like you mentioned above has about 77% of it's population practise Judaism. Now compare that to our dear country Nigeria where the North is predominantly Muslims, South predominantly Christians. No one of these two religions would accept to allow the beliefs of the other to be infused into the law more than it's own beliefs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying religion and power can be seperated. Ofcourse it plays a major role in our lives. Afterall, many of us that started school in Nigeria where thought religious issues in during our tender ages. My point is that we should not allow this issue of religion to cause more problem as the issue of religion is a very sensitive one. |
Pls HND HOLDER I didn't get your point. Could you pls clearify me? |
If you plunge into something not knowing the real reason why you're going into it, you'll fall out very badly. What I'm saying in essence is that if God didn't tell that person to go and he goes, he might have himself to blame. If we have xtian leaders with intergrity, let him start from his own local church coz, charity begins at home, then from there to his town you know and so......on God help us. |
My opinion on this is that it's not right to base the law governing people of diverse religious background on religion. If you want to do htat, which religion will they adopt. Nobody will ever accept that his religion is inferior to any other one. Religion is a very sensitive thing so it should be left out of the law. God has created man as morality beings so we can make our laws based on this morality. |

Anyways sha, action is what we need not a mere change of nomenclature.
