As if SA people don't have criminals among them. All that they needed to have done is to deal with the illegal immigrants and criminals. Lumping everyone together doesn't make any sense at all. We have Nigerians in the University system and hospitals over there. Are they also a burden on their country? |

Education › Re: My Take On Parents Confronting Their Kid's Teachers As A Former Teacher by delpee(f): 2:54am On Jun 08 |
Parents are often the architects of their children's misfortune. It's mostly borne out of an indulgent attitude. They'll do anything to make life "easy" for the children without realising that a child needs to understand the need to make his/her personal effort to achieve meaningful and enduring results. That's why we have graduates who are no better than secondary school students. It's so unfortunate.
Years ago, I was shocked when I took my son to JAMB Exam Centre and saw parents paying teachers and invigilators for whatever reason. I simply told my stunned child that he has prepared sufficiently and had no reason to fear.
All through my children's years in school, (up to SS3), I got to know their teachers, house masters etc and always made it clear that we don't tolerate indiscipline at home. That way, even if the school policy allowed some laxity, they would inform me of any misdemeanor. The children knew and so they complied with the rules.
Some parents never show up in school to monitor the progress of their children. That is why the woman never knew how bad her daughters situation was. |

I have an emergency fund boss For land in semi urban/rural areas, it's a game of chance. From my experience, you win some and lose some. Having the survey and deed of agreement isn't a perfect guarantee except if you're willing to process the C of O immediately. The good thing is that land is a good store of value. It will appreciate over time. Just be sure that there are no family issues and complete the legally recognised registration process promptly. |

Why waste time and resources on primaries if it is of no use? Aggrieved parties can always make their voices heard during elections anyway. I remember one guy in Mushin who was edged out against the wishes of his constituents years ago. He temporarily decamped to Accord party and won the election with the people's massive support.
The party can impose but the people can still use their voting power wisely. |

Family › Re: Unforgiveness: Please I Need Help. by delpee(f): 3:22pm On May 25 |
Anuoluwa12345: Good evening, pls I need help on something I don't even know how to put it well, but I will try my best to explain a little..and I seek sincere advice from matured and experienced ppl on the forum.
I am a type that when I love ppl, I love them wholeheartedly..to the extent that I will give in all my best to them.. be it family members or non. When I tell you I gat your back, then I truly mean it. But the problem now is, when these ppl hurt me. I don't know how to handle it, I don't even know if I will call it unforgiving spirit or maybe cause I remember things alot, I will surely not forget.
It's not as if I won't forgive them o, I will but, to make that relationship between me and that person smooth back.. it's not possible.. the distance will always be there.. tho before I get angry or pick offence it takes long, but once it happens like this! I know I have lost relationship with that soul.
Some of my relatives (extended fam) offended me, and since about 3 yrs now, these ppl have been sending different ppl just to beg me and talk to me etc.. in order to make things back, but it's just not working!. Cuz I know myself.
And I am a type that, once I vex, I don't look back..even if the person has done a lot of things etc.. I have tried my best but it's just not working. And I understand the fact that there is no how there won't be argument among humans, it's not possible.
My greatest fear now is, what if I marry, is this how It will be towards my husband, someone I claim I love? Pls how do I tackle this problem before I reach that stage, pls I need sincere word of wisdom from elders, else why I come to a faceless forum to pour out my mind. Whatever faith you practice, note that unforgiveness is a sin and is harmful to your health. You need to tutor your mind to understand that the impact is more on you than on anyone. You set yourself free of a burdened heart and you’ll maintain better relationships with God and man. If you don't believe me on the issue of your health, ask your doctor. If you're more focused on those who repeatedly or deliberately offend you, walk away from such relationships. They're frustrating and stressful. In addition, read up more on unforgiveness and bitterness. Understand the fact that a peaceful and unburdened mind helps your immune system. |

dominique: It's so baffling how nobody sees nothing wrong with a man leaving his house dirty. He must have kept the environment dirty in expectation that his girlfriend is coming to clean it up. Total pig! If anybody dodged a bullet, it's the lady. Women! Add value to yourselves so men won't see you as maids to clean up their mess.
So it's only women that are required to clean up their surroundings when they wake up? Men are expected to stink up the whole place till a woman comes in to clean it up? It's very easy to spot a male disguising as female, and some imbe men go don slide into his DM to get to "know him better" Did you observe that she didn't clear up the leftover from the food he bought for her the night before? The guy is supposed to do that for her? She couldn't even tidy up the bed she slept on! That's not ladylike at all. Maybe it's a fake story sha. |
