I wish that these new jets, helicopters and drones will help us combat terrorists better. How they manage to move in their hundreds on bikes unseen until they wreak havoc baffles me. Plus their camps are known which should make attack easier. Why are they left to thrive while our soldiers are on the receiving end even in their barracks?
Health › Re: What Hard Drugs Turned My Friend To. by delpee(f): 8:25am On Feb 27
Toolegit123:
Good day everyone.

Just as everyday come and go,I Just can't help it but keep thinking about how hard drugs has turned my friend to a complete junkie.

This dude was my primary school classmate and at a time ago we were even considered as best friends. Somehow along the way we got admissions into different higher institutions. At first during holidays when we returned home from our different schools,I used to noticed how strange he had become. Someone who used to be very robust suddenly emaciated and I knew it wasn't as a result of hunger because his family made sure he got everything he needed in school, unlike myself who signed MoU with sapa.

Fast forward to 2019,after graduation,it all got worse. And he made his smoking habit public to the extent that he smoked on the streets. That was when his elder siblings and I had to advise him, about the damages weed and other drugs he was taking were doing to him. But it all seemed every advice we were giving him were falling upon deaf ears.

What really broke our friendship was when he was trying to lure me into weed. That was when I started to avoid him. The adage which says --"Show me your friend and I shall tell you who you are" kept ringing in my head and tho I did everything to talk him through, out of that bad habit but he wasn't getting any of it.

Just last week, when I paid my dad a visit,I saw this dude, now looking so unkept and rolling with street urchins. I only waived him and went my way.

Please guys out there, let's say no to hard drugs because it doesn't have any good effects on the human body.

#SAYNOTODRUGS.

Please let's help push this thread to the front page so that others can learn from it.
You can advise his siblings to contact NDLEA for advice on counselling and rehabilitation if nothing else works.
Politics › Re: Did Kidnappers Demand For Female Virgins As Ransome In Ekiti? by delpee(f): 11:30pm On Feb 26
When there's no immediate consequence for terrorism, it not only prevails, it gets worse. As amnesty is given to criminals, they get bolder and many more get involved. It seems that we're rotating in circles.

I feel so sad and worried about our fellow country men and women who dwell in the villages.

My question is: why was it called Lagos airport from inception since you people always claim those parts were not Lagos but south west region.

Why wasn't it ever called south west Airport?
Ask the colonialists.

8Spot on!
People have simply become greedier than before. The other day one guy was crying here that he's depressed and contemplating suicide because he has only 10 million in his account and two plots of land in his late twenties!

That's the kind of mindset youths of this generation now have! We have been so brainwashed to believe that we must be bastardly rich before marriage! In the past, people married when they had little to nothing and then build wealth with their better halves. It is said that he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from God. This statement translates to mean that when two people come together in marriage through love, they think up ideas together, work together and build wealth together because like the saying goes; two good heads are better than one!
Exactly!
Politics › Re: Minor ‘Kidnapped, Impregnated’ By DSS Officer Handed To Jigawa Governor (Pix) by delpee(f): 10:00pm On Feb 26
Anybody who wants to assess this case fairly should read Walidas interview with Daily Trust. She wasn't kidnapped by Ifeanyi. She somehow ended up with him. The person who abducted her in Jigawa is Mariam who is said to be under investigation.

That's really good.

I remember buying herbal drugs from their Pharmacy dept. years ago. Very effective. I pray that they succeed in more researches that will improve our health outcomes. I believe that we can find cures for many of the debilitating illnesses that abound today. God guide them more.

The money was discovered to have been paid in error and was subsequently refunded.

Looks like an intended setup to me. Good thing that it failed. Anambra State Govt should enlighten us further. If demands were made on them by the former IG, they should let us know.

He should at least have worked to win in his polling booth convincingly. If he didn't win in his base where people should know him, how did he expect to win in other areas?

Oga, work harder to win people's confidence next time.

One thing I have seen is that, if you want to maintain a good relationship with someone who has relocated abroad, don't make demands on them. The fact is that life isn't as easy there as people think. Time difference and the hustle factor also plays a huge role.

The road to Badagry is a Federal road.

The man can sue his wife for deceit/false pretences or whatever a lawyer advises. The real father of the kids should be made to pay damages. It's so unfair and most disheartening.

Making DNA test mandatory is not the issue but is it in a country where most DNA samples are sent abroad that will be thinking of such?

By the time the result comes back, pikin fit don finish secondary school sef. Lol.
We had a DNA lab on Broad St by CMS Lagos. Unfortunately, it was burnt down during EndSARS. Hopefully, the government will renovate and reequip the building sometime soon.

I believe that there are others in the country.

It's a good idea to buy. The expansion project and diversification into the production of other derivatives from crude oil will make the share value appreciate over time.

Our economy is not favorable to ordinary Nigerians. Imagine 35 old men who are still earning below 100k. Such men won't plan to marry except they want to settle for poverty.
People married with low incomes in the past and worked hard together to build their homes successfully over the years. The problem may be that most people want perfection before committing to marriage now. Sadly, it means more people will stay single longer or never marry.

you guys never see me collecting money from anyone. Besides you don't know me at all. Adeleke's treasury embezzlement is unacceptable. He's goner.
How is AMBO/Oyetola team better? Everything you have to complain about in Osun today has some roots in the previous 12yr period. If Adeleke can pay full salaries and pensions now plus carry out infrastructure development, why did Aregbe/Oyetola pay half salary plus no remittances of dues according to the civil servants?
Family › Re: Go Marry? What Do I Gain?” — Man Breaks Silence On Marriage Costs (photos/video) by delpee(f): 9:31pm On Feb 21
There's a problem now because men and women mostly marry for the wrong reasons. Materialism and a sense of entitlement make things worse. Many men haven't outgrown old values which don’t fit into today's world. Many ladies don’t understand that there can't be two drivers on the driver's seat.

Women don't want to build with their men. No Surulere, just Olorunsogo. It's a consequence of years of women being jilted and rendered homeless after supporting their men to build homes. Both parties need to do a reset, make necessary adjustments in their reasoning processes for things to change.

Brendaniel:
So why was the Airport at Ikeja called Lagos airport from inception ?
The airport was first built during WW2 and in the colonial era. It wasn't built by the Western Region. The colonial authorities could make use of land anywhere they deemed fit.

It was modernised in the late 70s.

Crime › Re: Sanwo-Olu Allegedly Supports MFM Leader Enabling Him To Target Perceived Enemies by delpee(f): 8:31am On Feb 20
Why are you so focused on MFM? If he's indeed a wolf in sheep's clothing as the Bible says, God will surely deal with him. Expending so much time and energy to bring another down makes no sense to me. Especially since there's always the option of not being a member of their Church.

If there's real proof, take it up properly as was done in some of the court cases. Those affected will support you. If it's all built on envy or faulty foundations, you'll keep wasting valuable time moving around in circles. A true believer knows that God is the ultimate judge. What you hand over to Him in good faith and in truth, will be dealt with to glorify His name.
