Family › Re: Men That Married A Lady Without Skill Or Education , Share Your Experience by delpee(f): 9:18pm On Feb 01
A man should marry a woman who adds value to his life but character is of utmost importance.

A woman should understand that being totally dependent on a man limits the growth potentials of the family. She is supposed to assist the man. The Bible describes the qualities of a good wife in Proverbs 31:10-31.

a lady that cheats don't bother if the husband is cheating. That's why as a man, if you are cheating and your wife doesn't bother, accuse or fight you over it even when she knows, please check, she is cheating also 💯
Not necessarily. Some women just don't want to stress themselves over a problem they can't solve. The only issue is that they may endure while planning for a future without the man in case he flips to the other side. That plan may have nothing to do with another man.

Funny but this must be a parody account or AI.
Food › Re: Emotional Video Of Children Seeking Food At Event Gets People Talking (Photos/Vi by delpee(f): 11:12pm On Jan 30
MemoriesAndMe:
Not everything can be blamed on poverty, sometimes let's blame greed. Some of these kids already ate at home, never satisfied and still want more from anywhere they can find anything free. It boils down to greed.
True in some cases but there's always been poverty in the land.

Parents should have the number of children that they can reasonably cater for. Mothers in particular should consider a situation where they have to take care of themselves.
Politics › Re: This Picture I Took Of Lagos This Morning Will Move You To Tears by delpee(f): 7:45pm On Jan 30
That is what you get when there's a mass exodus to Lagos by people who have nowhere to stay. The street and underbridge becomes their home.

Add this to Lagosians who choose not to patronise designated refuse collectors for their areas. They'll rather use cart pushers who go against the law to drop refuse on the streets.
Politics › Re: Why Lagos Does Not Belong To Yorubas – Oba Akiolu by delpee(f):
Interesting! So why is it that the Aworis own most of the land and the Oba is limited to the Island?

Other parts of the State are mostly originally owned by Eguns and Ijebus. Badagry, Ikorodu, Epe etc

Even the name Ikoyi is core Yoruba. Ikoyi towns still exist in Oyo/Osun. The Ikoyi people were the calvary warriors known as esho that worked with the Alaafin.

By the way, Olukumi is an original name for Yorubas. They're known as Lucumi in South America where some ended up as slaves. Some reside in Delta State today having migrated during the wars.
Olukumi means my friend.
Celebrities › Re: Music Legend Fela Kuti Becomes First African To Get Grammys Lifetime Achievement by delpee(f): 4:45pm On Jan 30
Fela was a thorough bred musician. He deserves it. He could play musical instruments unlike today's musicians who mostly mime to computer generated sounds.

Beyond that, he was an activist who stood against the ills of society and tried to inspire people to fight for a better life.

More coups on the way. Anything that will dislodge Amọda and APC is welcome by me. All I care about is may this cup of suffering and calamity known as Amọda and APC should pass over Nigerians.
Those of us who lived through the military era won't wish for a coup. 2027 is almost here. People have the opportunity to express their views with their votes.

Celebrities › Re: Omije Ojumi’s Children Discover Their Father At Her Funeral by delpee(f): 4:12pm On Jan 30
Getting in touch with them during the funeral was a wrong move. He should have called and sent his family members to condole with them shortly after she died. At that time, he could have explained why he was distant and promise a better relationship going forward. The graveside is no place for arguments.

If he did nothing to assist their mum all through her illness, it will be hard for the kids to forgive. Ultimately, if he finds a way to make amends, they may have a better relationship. He's their only parent now.

May God guide, protect and uphold the children.
Politics › Re: Pension Thief Maina Bought US Properties Before Money Laundering Conviction by delpee(f): 3:57pm On Jan 30
ARISHEM:
Despite all this the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja chapter still celebrated him by giving him Rule of Law award earlier this year instead of criticizing the government for allowing him to walk of of prison after spending only 3 years out of a 8 year jail term.

The Release of a convicted heartless thief is a mockery on Pensioners and Nigerians by encouraging politicians and government officials to steal billions
The Chairman of the chapter has been suspended for doing so because he doesn't deserve the recognition. They said he didn't consult EXCO.
TV/Movies › Re: Koleoso Becomes First Nollywood & African Movie To Hit 100M Views On YouTube by delpee(f): 9:44pm On Jan 29
I've not watched the film. Hopefully, it doesn't get boring after a few episodes.

I rarely watch Yorubawood grin movies but I was asked to watch Konge by Wunmi Toriola recently and was pleasantly surprised. Good storyline with pure spoken Yoruba and English translations on screen. Very interesting storyline.

Mynd44:
So it isn't about misgovernance.

Wow
It took a while before we got to understand that most coups in the past were planned for selfish reasons. That's why some of us are not enthusiastic about any coup.

That’s where prominent leaders schooled Awolowo, Osibanjo, Dolapo, etc

It was close to my NYSC camp 2018/19 (1km away)
I learnt that Awolowo attended BBHS Abeokuta, Oshinbajo attended Igbobi College.
Crime › Re: Kidnappers Demand ₦30M For Binuyo Lateefah – Mother's Emotional Plea Goes Viral by delpee(f): 10:05pm On Jan 28
I think FG needs to review the compulsory youth service or consider making it an option for corpers to serve within their region of residence. Too many of them have either been kidnapped or lost their lives in transit in recent times. It's too heavy a loss and heartbreaking for families to hear.

Education › Re: Pretty Lady Celebrates Her Degree In Yoruba Language by delpee(f): 8:52pm On Jan 26
Congratulations to her. Anyone thinking it's a waste of time doesn't know much. There are great opportunities for her as a tutor, content creator, researcher and translator. There are students studying Yoruba in Universities abroad too.

Yoruba culture is spiritually deep and very creative. She only needs to consider her area of interest. She'll surely succeed.
Politics › Re: Coup plot: Sixteen officers arrested, to face military panel by delpee(f): 8:06pm On Jan 26
I've witnessed enough coups to last a lifetime. We need to find better ways of expressing our grievances. Besides, we can change a bad government in 4 years unlike the sit tight situation that we usually experience with military rule.

Fulani wirh their propaganda.
When Buhari single handedly gave Miyetti Allah #100b , Elrufai did not call for his impeachment.
Plus he stated that they and others brought in bandits who are tormenting us now.

I don't think the Muslim Christian issue is the problem for all I know Oga Shetimma can choose to be a Christian in the next four years like Oga Gbajabiamila who chose to be a Muslim politically.
Femi Gbajabiamila is a Muslim.

The man's story sounds like tales by moonlight. He should be probed further and tried.

Ladies need to stop visiting unverified strangers that they think are friends. There are too many dubious people these days.
Celebrities › Re: Davido Thanks Father For Intervening In Paternity Controversy Involving Anu by delpee(f): 9:57am On Jan 23
bolaayenimo:
Father's shouldn't be condonning irresponsible behavior
He's not necessarily condoning bad behaviour. The point is that once issues arise, a good father must find solutions. If the child was for his son, he could have chastised Davido while ensuring that he takes up responsibility for the child's upkeep. You can't force an adult to be what you think is best for him. You can only guide and pray.
Politics › Re: 'What Is N270bn?’ - Maina Says EFCC Can Recover More Assets From Malami by delpee(f): 8:44am On Jan 23
franchasofficia:
The difference between Yoruba political looters and Hausa-Fulani looters is that Yoruba treasury bandits are very good in looting with minimal trace while the Hausa-Fulani treasury looters loot with arrogance believing Nigeria belongs to them and that nobody can prosecute them for looting so they usually don't bother blocking their looting tracks.

But in all, both of them are so corrupt and responsible for turning Nigeria to a disgraced country it is today with no direction and no viable future as a nation cry

Maina and Malami are both same with even the people claiming to probe them currently
Emefiele, Ibori, Orji Kalu, Diezani Madueke, Dan Etete etc are Yoruba and Hausa too abi? All other ethnic groups are saints in your opinion. Stop being tribalistic. There are good and bad people everywhere.

Celebrities › Re: DNA Tests Show Anu Not Davido’s Daughter – Deji Adeleke by delpee(f): 10:58pm On Jan 21
The lady needs to search her mind to remember who else she had a relationship with around that time.

Maybe all Davidos aides who followed him to Ibadan should be tested too. Why? If she wasn't in perfect control of herself at the time, it could be anyone else though her mind was focused on Davido. Sounds odd but things happen.
Politics › Re: ‘I Have 14 Grandchildren’, Davido‘s Dad Breaks Silence Amid Son’s Paternity Saga by delpee(f): 6:34pm On Jan 21

Natasha is really doing well. She's not in the class of those buying plastic buckets and clay pots as constituency projects. God bless her richly.
