Why not also follow up on what Dr Ganduje tried to do in Kano by making it bigger and building more in the core Northern States? He built a settlement for herders. I think it was in Falgore forest.
Why is there so much focus on Plateau and Benue which are in the middle belt? |

Late Alaafin Adeyemi didn't have issues with the current Ooni. They had mutual respect for each other. He knew about Oyotunji but didn't make an issue out of it. The village wasn't created by the Alaafin of Oyo. Some Americans chose to do that on their own. They could have given it any other name. Probably, the idea of the Old Oyo Empire appealed to them but they know that Ife is the orisun and so they aligned with Ooni.
One wonders why the new king has chosen to be unnecessarily aggressive. |

dawnomike: Well, in my opinion... this supremacy issue is thrash and rubbish. So, let me speak about courtesy... 'A fellow high ranking king walked over to greet you; courtesy demands you stand to greet him in return as a fellow high ranking King'
But, we are in Nigeria where we like proving supremacy either in a subtle way or otherwise.
This is not only peculiar to the Yoruba kings... You're right. It's basic courtesy. |

U zap contribution and expect people to raise money over and over. These pastorpreneurs are not align with what is going on in the economy. They are either blind or just wicked and shameless. My father was a faithful elder . He is sick. Those he called fellow elders came and gave him 5k. I told him if u save your penny for the rainy days nobody will come and dash you 5k after all your contribution. They ask you to contribute for school projects when they started university process but that's the same school people cannot afford. Wicked souls don turn church to betting franchise. Nothing important is going on anymore. The word of God is gone. Why u go say God say 10 percent and u cgreedy G O carry all the money. quote author=aswani post=135144050]

My uncle is a Pastor in one of Adeoyes's very lucrative franchising system. One of the long standing Deacons had a kidney problem and their franchise customers donated and reached out to others.
I innocently, and thought reasonably, asked why a profitable entity like Adeboye Inc. could not pay for the procedure or at least the branch ask headquarters if they could use the monies they remit weekly to pay for the procedure.
My uncle nearly fainted, when he gathered himself, he politely said they could not do that as such a request will be refused.
Black Pastors are not kidding us, ńa we dey do oursef. Ha! But they have donated dialysis centres in some places. Why can't members benefit? The best thing for anyone though is health insurance. |

Prosperity priest aka pastorpreneur. The Bible emphasises that we must take care of the poor, widows, orphans, prisoners, the sick and the helpless. It is stated that the poor will always exist. They are not to be derided but supported and uplifted.
Jesus said it is harder for a rich man to enter into God's kingdom. He acknowledged the poor widow who gave the little she had. He made it clear that the poor are blessed. The story of poor Lazarus in Luke 16 also teaches that wealth doesn't guarantee God's favor. |

meobizy: Is it really rape if she doesn’t mention the name? Be wise, children. If she didn’t make up the story, she would’ve reported him long ago. If you've met a rape victim before, you'll understand why they find it difficult to talk about it. I once referred a lady to Mirabel Centre. It took a lot of persuasion, prayers and assurances to get her to divulge the details. Thankfully, she was counselled and well cared for at the centre when she eventually agreed. I feel so sorry for rape victims. It's not a good place to be. |

FG should direct CBN to open accounts for each LG and credit their allocations to the accounts instead of crediting joint accounts or whatever name they call it. There's no point waiting for statements of accounts except if the States are mandated to submit same on behalf of the LGs having spent the funds on their behalf. If the LG Chairmen still choose to pander to the governors against their constituents, the masses can take up the battle. |

It's nice to know that some of them have been fully rehabilitated. I pray that they stay on the right track henceforth. However, I believe that it's good to make it known that there are consequences for every action. Punishment often serves as a good deterrent.
The government should find a way to compensate those whose lives were disrupted by the crazy actions of the terrorists. They should also be resettled in their ancestral homes (if they're in IDP camps) and helped to resuscitate their means of livelihood. |
