We supply hundreds of laptops to the African market monthly including Acers, Dells, HPs, Sonys, etc. One trend for sure is that Nigerians order and buy based on name. Meanwhile, a computer is a computer. . .the processors in the computer are either made by AMD or intel (the main coys), the cards are made by reputable coys, etc. At the end of the day, Acer, HP, Dell, Sony, Toshiba, etc just assemble these parts. Yeah, Acer is relatively new to the Nigerian market but if the specs and the price fit your demands and budget respectively, no biggie.

My point is, buy a computer based on specs and price rather than name only. . .however, if u want to buy a Sony laptop for N50k more than an Acer with similar or even better specs/features, I'd gladly sell to you.

Do you know the name of the program? If you do, you can google it and find ways to uninstall it, perhaps thru the registry. Or you may as well reformat your drives.

I'm not a "Visa travel agent". . .I doubt there's any travel agent that can guarantee u a Visa (except in Nigeria where everything is possible). I'm just a forumer here giving people tips.

Good thinking but some of u are really hilarious. . .or rather some of the ideas cos even without thinking, I cud crack them. How much is your software worth that u are worrying about "Otigba boys"? On a daily basis, I use and access software easily worth $50k or even more (per CD) and guess worth, despite all the security, they are easily cracked by nefarious peeps. Piracy is here to stay. . .the only way to combat it is volume shares. Even satellite, pple dey crack am easily. . .so knock urselves out.

Wow. . .N200k for a pavilion? They aint even tablets nor do they have blu-ray .

My recommendation: NONE.

Did my degree in the UK . Bad decision in hindsight, should have done it in US. UK is so much the wrong place to do a course like that but I discovered too late. Getting into the industry there is very difficult and there are not that many aerospace companies there. And no, I'm not a citizen of any other country.

I doubt you'd have any real issues with getting a job in the Aerospace industry with a UK degree in Canada or the US. Your experience might be a factor. . .but as far as u are willing to build ur experience from the bottom (assuming u have none), in 2-5yrs, u'd be smiling. Like I said, I wont waste my time and money going for another Masters degree in Engineering just for the heck of it. My 2 cents!

1. For those specs, I can quote you for N135k. However, wholesale purchase will attact some discounts. For a 250GB HD, you can save yourself up to N8k per laptop.

2. I don't see any difference in specs with #1; please, can you point out the difference(s)?

3. The HP DV2313CL has been discontinued and will find a hard time trying to get them as we get supplies directly from the manufacturers. However, I can offer you an equivalent with better specs,

4. If you are not too keen on a 14.1", I'd recommend a 15.4" with 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, with bluetooth, webcam and fingerprint reader for N135k. With wholesale purchase, you can save yourself up to N10k on each.

By the way, perhaps it's a mistake but I do not think the intel core 2 duo processors are graded with the "TL" like the AMDs; I believe they are graded like "T5xxx". I might be wrong tho. However, if you need a 14.1" HP Pav laptop with those min specs, I'd quote you for N130k.  And if the clock speed is not an issue (i.e. 1.8GHz vs 1.6GHz) and memory (200GB vs 160GB), I can get you one for N120k.
