jlinkd78:You had all that time to dissect the development to a bunch of idiats. Just read and move on cos the recognition for Kanu's cause continues to break new frontiers where it actually matters. There is a structure in place and Kanu's incarceration has nothing to do with the success or otherwise of the goal they set to achieve. 6 Likes |

mbaeeeee: Not at all. Mr. Remi Oyeyemi is a well schooled, veteran Yoruba journalist and wordsmith. Worked in Nigeria for decades with well known media houses before relocating to the US in the early 90s. A regular columnist at the elitist Nigeriavillagesquare.com. Anyways, truth is bitter. 1 Like |

More greenery might be one of the ways to lessen the impact of red soil in the environment. Kigali is apparently doing just fine. 2 Likes |

The people heading the IPOB are much more intellectually your superiors. You'll even be happy to have anyone of them as mentor. The agitation takes a new height each day. I don't know why Nigeria is taking the issue of a very major tribe with a pinch of salt. There is a new world order that Nigeria apparently is yet to understand. Here we are talking about a population of over 40 million people with a clear and distinct geographyical delineation, culture and language and someone thinks we are still in the 1960s dark ages. Yesterday, i mentioned a few northern leaders that have seen the hand writing on the wall and pointing to it, and others not taking note. 82 Likes 14 Shares |

emmalezy: The image reminds me of Biafra...That's what we are saying. We are all humanity. Who will ever imagine this type of picture would ever emerge from the federal side that used hunger and starvation of innocent women and children to prosecute a war? They never felt for us but i feel for them. I'm really heart-broken. Look at that innocent child...God. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Biafra: A Struggle For Disgruntled Elements? by Deltagiant: 9:36pm On Dec 06, 2015 |
That Biafra has 'silent supporters' is to state the obvious. If anything happens that a referendum or Biafra was declared, the whole world will be shocked as to the level of the suppressed dreams of the people of Nigeria. For the Igala and Idoma...just forget it, they're in the Biafra column already. Even the new King of Igalaland, Dr. Michael Idakwo stated clearly in 2013 that Igalaland belonged to the old Onitsha province and he's looking forward to a day they'll return home. Imagine that. Biafra agitation has a lot of hidden surprises to those who understands history and ethnography. 14 Likes |

Afam4eva: Afam, I didn't fight you and haven't done such before. When you believe someone is knowledgeable, you'd react the way i did. There was an authentic, graphical live tracking of the Dreamliner to Enugu and yet you asked of pictures. This gave me the impression you were in doubt. I wouldn't know why you wanted the pictures of the aircraft when they are easily available on the web. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Biafra Protest "Completely Legitimate" - Nigerian Government by Deltagiant: 5:41pm On Dec 06, 2015 |
A few wise men in the North have seen the signs long ago and have voiced their concern on the need to respect the Igbo majority status. Some of them are Mustapha Jokolo, Ghali Umar N'Abba, Balarabe Musa and surprisingly of late was former governor of Zamfara state etc. Even at the national conference, some of these men from the North expressed worry why the Igbo should be given the least number of states in Nigeria. These are people that have the love of the country at heart. Anyone of the three majority groups in Nigeria that undertakes the role of a dissenting voice always shakes the polity to its foundation. We saw it when Yorubas went angry about Abiola. Worse still is the fact that Biafra was formerly a short lived country recognized by some nations. Thus, re awakening it now, in this modern age, is what Nigeria should never want because the world order has changed. I believe the damage control process has begun. 1 Like |

Nothing serious, it's even furthering the popularity of the struggle. In 1967, Leopold Senghor the then Senegalese president morally supported Biafra. His Muslim majority parliament sat on the fence and later threw their weight on the Nigerian side. So, it is expected that a majority Muslim country will be averse to a Christian majority Biafra 7 Likes |

Afam4eva: What 'image' is more than the 'Activity log' of Flightaware.com provided for you, and which tracks aircrafts movements around the globe? I guess Ndigbo bribed the observation center of Flightaware.com in Houston, Texas to falsely track a non existent Dreamliner to Enugu. |

Even an observer could see the sense of ownership of Nigeria in these people. What do they mean by 'criminal agitation for Biafra'? As far as the law is concerned, It's obvious these miscreants do not know their left hand from their right. 8 Likes |
Politics / Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Deltagiant: 6:53pm On Dec 05, 2015 |
DelGardo: I am right with the description. It is 787-8. The 8 signifies the base model and thus often referred to as 788. Other variant models exists such as the 787-9 also called 789. Enugu can handle it; it's already landed successfully. Making the city one of the few airports in the world that has received the Dreamliner. The AIIA is a promising airport. It's left for Ndigbo, their businness and political leaders to make it a global aviation hub. 3 Likes |

Wow! They are adding another dimension to the whole struggle. Before now it was "oh the kids did not experience the war". But the dynamics is now fast changing. A time was when a mere mention of Biafra would guarantee you an arrest let alone being in possession of the flag. But today, the Nigeria government would even be happy and celebrate if it only entailed having the Biafran flag in your possession. Your guess is as good as mine what would be tolerable one, two years today 26 Likes 4 Shares |

Abagworo, the agitation for Biafra preceded Buhari's adminstration. Radio Biafra preceded Buhari's adminstration. IPOB's protests and agitation for Biafra have largely been peaceful No one is using Ndigbo, the people have rather woken up to the realities facing them in Nigeria. And there's no better way of showing their gievances than the course of action they've chosen. So, please let them be. While they want to pursue their livelihood, their dignity is equally important to them. 16 Likes 1 Share |
