while i respect your opinion, i think it is wrong infact it smirks of inferiority complex to grade an Igbo traditional ruler based on his recognition by other rulers in Nigeria. Based on your submission, all igbo traditional rulers including the obi himself are inferior to the sultan of sokoto, Oba of Lagos and OONI of ife etal since these ones have more public acclaim in Nigeria and even beyond.
I think a rulers greatness should be measured by the greatness of the people he rules not his recognition by other rulers........are we still tryingto define ourselves by the opinion of our neighbors?

I wish Nnamdi Kanu had an email address to get people's concerns and also gather intelligence quickly from the ground. people have complained it is a herculean task to call and get answered. An easier way for people to participate in the discussion of the independence of their land through email should be made available to them. Nnamdi should carefully examine how Nelson Mandela conducted his own freedom struggle with a lot of self control and wisdom.Mandela eventually convinced the world to impose sanctions on the terrorist apartheid state. Mind you, before that, the apartheid government had branded Mandela a terrorist. Communicating your case is a huge step in this cause.

You cannot achieve Biafra if more than 50% of Igbo is against it. Therefore, instead of cursing people, he should clearly state the injustice which everyone already knows and sees, then convince them. Igbos are oppressed all over Nigeria and excluded from the governance of Nigeria, so convincing someone about this shouldn't be too hard to do. People will volunteer their skills and resources if you are able to give them a courteous treatment. One that recourses to insulting people is a mark of poor communication skill of stating the case.

What hurts is that since 1970, no regime in Nigeria made it a point to reunite Nigerians that thr war turned into refugees with their families. No regime has even tried to reconcile the country and admit wrongs on both sides.

The answer is just one, MILITANCY/PIRACY. Those Niger Delta waterways are not safe. Apart from threats of kidnapping, it is more expensive for the shipping companies and shipping agents to operate that route as they have to settle or pay "escort" money to each community they pass. The cost is then passed on to the consignees. Security (or lack of it) is a serious impediment to the optimal utilization of Portharcourt port.

If the North picks up overnight and start scoring high in these entry exams, their cut off mark will be as high as Lagos or Anambra or Delta, but the number of Northerners admitted would still be the same because they are only filling their guaranteed quota without taking away what belongs to another.

If Anambra state or Abia state suddenly starts scoring low, by extension their cut off mark could fall as low as 20, but they will still fill up their guaranteed quota with that low mark, without any state taking what belongs to them.

Is this very plain principle of quota too complex for the educated Igbo to grasp?

People are flying from Kano, Abuja and PH and they are not complaining of any conspiracy. Point the accusing fingers at yourselves for once.

Maybe to an extent but it would be severely limited to have a sea port on a river, even one as big as the Niger. If an Igbo nation (as the outlook is now) is serious they can simply fork out cash and buy a narrow corridor and a bit of coast from the Azumini Akwete axis maybe down through some Ogoni or Obolo lands if they agree to sell a corridor and a piece of the coast, even swamp and mangrove self, as long as it's near the coast, engineering has come to a point a long time ago where airports and dockyards can be built on sea neat the coast. Apart from that it looks like we're looking at a Suez Canal type of situation, I might be wrong.

It's sad because there's so much coastline in the delta region that's not being utilised (at the level we're talking about at least).
