Look at them! Funny cowards that were "called to play their legally mandated role" on Boko Haram but chickened away since 6 years. Now wants to revalidate their battered ego with unarmed peaceful protesters. Cowards!

But, this time, it is the global world order that'll deal the final blow on you guys.

Thank you very much. Even at that, the biggest financial contributor to the Midwest project, Dr, M.I Okpara, the premier of the Eastern region, was not there. Midwestern region cost Enugu 8 Million pounds.

Igbos (blacks) claimin d same origin or lineage wit Jews/Israelis (whites)? Dat must b a joke of d century! But on a serious note, wen ar we blacks goin to b proud of our unique distinct identity? Wen ar we goin to stop twistin history just to attach ourselvs to pipo who care little about us (som racists)? Igbos ar typical negroes while d Jews ar semitic pipo relatd to d Arabs. Dere is no tangible similarity btw Igbos nd Israelis in terms of language, culture nd physical appearnce. If at all any tribe shuld claim Jewish origin, dat shuld b d Fulanis because it is well documentd in history dat d Fulanis were products of intermarriages btw negroes (d Sonnikes, Malinkes, Wollofs) nd North African Jews who fled d Maghreb to d Senegambia region of West Africa followin d invasion of North Africa by Arab Moslems. Even up til today, d (whiteman's) physical features common to all semitic pipo such as curly hairs, narrow nose, straigt face, thin lips nd light-skin can still b noticed in d bodily appearnce of many Fulanis.

The modern world Jewry are largely not connected by physical features but instead by religion and unique practices. Jews around the world have evolved to take the physical features of the races in their region of the world. The Bantoid Lemba tribe of South Africa were recognized by the state of Israel as authentic Jews despite their Igbo-like physical features. Same with Kaifeng Jews of China and the Indian Jews. Unique practices and/or the Cohanim Y chromosomes DNA testing were sometimes used to identify these people. That of the Igbos have long been known in Europe dating back to the medieval period with accounts from early explorers and slaves. So its nothing new. You need not look like someone else to be an authentic Jew, a view equally expressed by the current Israeli PM 10 years ago during one of the Ethiopians' airlift to Israel.

Where was his family to call their son to order when he was arranging for the elimination of the sons and fathers of other families. He has made his bed, he will lie on it.

The over riding factor here is that the parents believe their son is on the path of honor and rightly so, and that's great. He's lying on it and will certainly wake up from it stronger.

While working for the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) it was funny to see Igbos pretending to be from areas such as Omuma and Etche just so they could take part in the RSSDA scholarship scheme. We literally had to form a crack team to investigate the origin of some of these candidates due to the fraudulent actions. It goes to show that they know that without Rivers state their cause is lost. We give them business they benefit from our resources and they marry Rivers indigenes and get Civil Service jobs at our expense and they want to rope us into Biafra. No thanks!

Platinum thread cool

But wait a minute ,why did those "Igbos" pass for Omuma and Etche people? Why would a "crack team" have to be needed to verify the origin of the candidates? What makes each of these groups more or less ethnic "Igbo"?

To be honest, non Nigerians and some Nigerians alike would find it difficult educating themselves from the Mumbo-Jumbo paraded here as arguments. You guys must understand that the history of the people that constitute Nigeria did not begin in 1970.

And on a different note; about Opobo.

Jaja's not a medieval histoy! It's a very much recent and well documented history. The great man arrived Ibenoland with his SLAVES and household. He established a settlement and a dynasty he called Opubo. Opubo, a King in Bonny he admired while in Bonny. Nigerians were witnesses when the descendants of these slaves conspired to obliterate the dynasty and enthrone one of their own and to which the Supreme court of Nigeria, in 2005, ruled against them.

Opobo is the estate of the JAJAs, and only them will determines her future political course. Not the decendants of his slaves. More over, what is unarguably true today is that Opoboans are native Igbo speakers.

Listen to his broadcasts and tweets, it is a call for violence... There is a video of him soliciting for guns and bullets to fight... Is that the way forward? Is that not calling for violence?.. Study the history of the Rwandan genocide and how radio messages eventually contributed to the carnage

Since the civil war, Igbos have occupied all major positions in Nigeria apart from presidency. Top ministerial positions, vice president, Military chiefs etc... In every part of Nigeria, Igbos run their businesses successfully. They intermarry and have children with other tribes.

Achieving the presidency means you have to form alliances with other regions.... With a good political strategy, it is possible.

I come from a relatively smaller tribe and we have not achieved as much as the igbos from the federal government in that regard.

That said, A biafra locked within Nigeria would be dependent on Nigeria.. It is like Lesotho locked in south Africa.. The same Nigeria, you call a zoo.. How do you want local cooperation when your stance is hostile?

Nigerian security forces are akin to the Fulani herdsmen that gets their hard-on from spilling the blood of peaceful people. Nnamdi Kanu cried out loud in self defence after IPOB members were shot to death on several occasions. Yes, he and his followers have their right to self defence from those that are killing unarmed and peaceful men and women.

The call for self defence started right after the navy massacred peaceful prostesters sharing IPOB pamphlets at Onitsha.

To self defend is not being volent.

The right to self determination is enshrined in the UN charter. This is Irrespective of what the group gained or did not gain in their current political habitat.

You don't force or kill a people to be in a union with them. Such an idea belongs to the old world order. I have equally not heard Kanu demand that Igbo man become Nigeria's president...How did you come about that?

On the other hand, must your tribe engage in dick measuring with the Igbo visavis political gains and losses? Every ethnicity has the right to chart her own course!

An indepenent Biafra wouldn't be like Lesotho. Even though there would be sea access, she's got human capital and natural resources to keep her going.

That said, you have not answered my questions from the previous post.

It is very different... It has no intellectual basis. It calls for violence and hate.

If South south states don't follow the Igbos as is most likely.. Biafra will be landlocked in Nigeria, meaning the economy will be inevitably linked to Nigeria

At the end of the day, a peaceful, diplomatic path should be sought.

What do you mean by intellectual basis?

If he called for violence, why hasn't that manisfested in his followers?

Why did it turn out that the Nigerian security forces were instead perpetrating the violence?

Why is Benin Republic one of the poorest countries in the world, while Botswana is million of miles ahead of her? Needless mentioning Switzerland or Austria.

Biafra should be designed as a Confederate nation where every group is a like its own country just like the Scots, the Wales, the English and northern Ireland which all make up the united kingdom. Taxes paid to the federal government with 100% resource control. common currency and common military. Simple.

Presidency is rotational.

Edit: Have three or four capital cities just like south Africa with different administrative purposes

Pazienza: If Biafra be structured the way I personally feel and believe it would be, then no body would even want to host the capital.

If we have a totally autonomous provinces each with their own provincial governor, and total resource control.

I expect a total of like Six provinces, and each province should create as much administrative units as it can take care of.

The central government will be led by a council of the governors of each provinces who Will rotate the leadership of the council amongst themselves in a two years tenure period, such that each province gets to have their governor lead the nation as a president at various points in time.

Under such arrangement, the real power resides within the provinces and not at the centre, and the rotational principle at the centre would also be implemented at the provincial level, such that each administrative unit of any province gets a shot at leading the province.

We can also run three capital cities, the executive at the Northern part of the Akwa-Cross area, the Judiciary at the Igbo region and then the Legislative arm at the Riverine areas.

Each province contribute a percentage of its earning for the running of the central government.

No parasitism.

I thought Pazienza's proposition should meet the aspirations of those who genuinely believe in Biafra

Thanks Op, the reppresive behaviour of the Nigeria state never ends. It is a vicious circle from which the Nigeria benefactors feed fat on.
It is IPOB today and surely will be another group tomorrow. Eastern Nigeria tribes should not pretend it's not their collective problem cos it is actually theirs. It was Martin Niemoller that once said:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Politics / Re: Anti-igbo Tag: Curing The Ignorance Of Some Biafran Agitators by Deltagiant: 10:18pm On Nov 10, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
Whenever the issue of Biafra comes up for discussion on social media, the position of majority of Igbos that are advocates of Biafra is one of "You are either one of us or you hate Igbo". This unfortunately, has not only cost friendship for some it has also created unnecessary enmity for others.

Who Are The Anti-Igbos?
I don't have to consult the Oxford dictionary to know that an anti-Igbo is simply someone that is against the legitimate interest and struggle of the Igbo nation and HATES anything and everything that has to do with the Igbo. Such people are cancer to the society

Pro-Biafrans Tag The Wrong People Anti-Igbo:
Do the Biafran agitators really know the anti-Igbo elements in Nigeria? To them, the anti-Igbo is any person or group from the south south region that states and maintain that they and their group are not a party to the Biafran arrangement. The anti-igbo is the ethnic nation in the Niger-Delta that does not believe in the Biafran arrangement and also find it unacceptable and highly provocative that the promoters of Biafra continue to 'force' them into what they've never believed in. To these agitators, the only way to show that you are not against the Igbo interest is ONLY by pledging alliance to their proposed Biafra.

Addressing Their Ignorance/Misconception
I have always maintained that self determination is not a privilege but a right. I'm NOT against the Igbo Biafran agitation and will always support them to decide for themselves. However, I believe that the right to self-determination is not the exclusive preserve of ANY single group. Every single ethnic nation within the South-south region have the RIGHT to determine whether or not to be part of Igbo Biafra. So if the Itsekiri man believe that Biafra is not ideal for him, should that make him anti-Igbo? If Urhobo, Ogoni, Ijaw, Ikwerre, Oron etc believe that fiscal and regional autonomy is their demand and they collectively(and individually) agree on this, should this make them anti-Igbo? Are pro-biafrans aware that Ogoni, Oron, Urhobo, Ikwerre, Ijaw etc have long submitted their respective demand, bills of rights and declarations to the United Nations, African Union and the Nigeria state long time ago? Is it not proper that every group face their respective struggles and those that see need for collaboration do same on mutual agreement? Has there been any agreement between IPOB/MASSOB and the Ijaw National Congress/Ijaw People Assembly or Ijaw Youth Council for the Igbo-Ijaw Biafran State? Has there been any between IPOB/MASSOB and Urhobo Progressive Union? Has there been any with the Ikwerre Youth Council, Oron People or the Ogba people? Has there been any with MOSSOP(Ogoni)? Has there been any with Bini and Esan people? Has the position of these nations changed? Does their position on fiscal federalism and autonomy within the Nigeria State makes them anti-Igbos or anti-Biafra? Does the fact that I maintain the position of my people that we have no agreement with anybody at ANY TIME to be in any Biafran nation makes me anti-Igbo?

When all the ethnic nations in the Old Midwest(Edo and Delta states) agitated to be carved out of the Old Western region, it never made them anti-Yorubas even though the Western region government and the Yorubas preferred they remain in same region with them. The Yorubas never saw them as enemies of O'odua nation.

To Each Their Own Struggle:
If the Igbos believe that a sovereign Biafran state is their only demand, then I will advice that they pursue it with every legitimate tool available. However, that Biafra is their demand DOESN'T mean it is the demand for other ethnic nations in the South-South. Ethnic nations in the SS want Fiscal/Regional Federalism as contained in their bills of rights/declarations. I don't think that it is sane for any pro-biafran Igboman to have any problem with this except he deliberately decides to trouble himself and make himself his own problem.

Let me reiterate that it will and amount to folly and crass ignorance for any IPOB/MASSOB person to tag anyone that doesn't share their Biafran ideology as anti-Igbo. All those propagating this anti-igbo sermon just to blackmail some people should wake-up and face reality. I sympathise with the Igbos and wish them well in their Biafran struggle. I also believe that some day our own people shall get (not given) our resource control demand. If opportunity for a referendum comes, our people shall determine for themselves whether or not to remain in Nigeria. Let me use this medium to appeal to the Igbos, Fulanis, Yorubas, Igalas etc to consider and support our resource control demand.

My Loyalty To Ijaw Nation, ND and Nigeria:
My loyalty to the Ijaw nation, the Niger Delta and the Nigeria State(whose ID I carry and anthem I sing) is one that I can't betray. If my people see need to opt out of the Nigeria State, then we shall push for a peaceful referendum without resorting to any move that will put the life of anybody at risk just like the MidWesterners did.

Finally, I want to assure my pro-Biafra Igbo friends and political allies that I don't hate their tribe nor any other ethnic nation in Nigeria. I am not against them having their Biafra and will always support their legitimate interest. My Igbo friends should understand that I owe my people the responsibility of promoting our own struggle and interest whenever opportunity arises. This shouldn't make me an anti-Igbo.

Anyone that still pick offence in this article should fix an appointment with a spiritualist.

May God Bless Us All and Bless Nigeria

Recent events have only but shown that your comments on this issue are largely your opinion. My impression about you before now was actually misplaced.
Barcanista, examples are bound where circumstances nullify or modify ethnic nationalities' political "declarations". What is currently happening took everyone by surprise . It is crushing the status quo so much so that people like you are now sounding ridiculous.

The protesters have continuously marched in PH/South South, a territory you wanna let us know is not home to them, without a rival group challenging them.

Till now, neither the Ijaw National council nor the Ogbakor Ikwerre has made a statement concerning the protests. Even the last time the police made a random arrest in PH, most of the arrestees were native Igbo speaking Rivers indigenes, Ibibios and Kalabari persons.

The chief co-ordinator of IPOB in PH is an Ikwerre. I listened to him speak to Radio Biafra yesterday.

So, where is this we and them you're steadily emphasizing on NL?
It's better for you to keep quiet and wait for a formal statement from these ethnic organizations, if any. Then you may take a position. What i see taking place is beyond the ethnic Igbo, and I don't want to believe you're pretending not to know.
