Lynn Williams will be a 2024 Olympian.

Williams will replace Catarina Macario after Macario was ruled out with a knee injury.

During today’s pre-match press conference, Emma Hayes announced that Catarina Macario is unable to prepare physically for the Olympic tournament due to consistent irritation in her right knee.

Pending official confirmation from the USOPC, IOC and FIFA, Macario will be replaced on the 18-player roster by Lynn Williams, originally named as an alternate for Paris 2024.
