THE "LION" DOES NOT TURN AROUND WHEN THE "SMALL DOG" BARKS I thought you are from a very rich social class family. How come you could no longer afford your school fee at a time.

Tobexin: you are not absolutely correct.... some price of things won’t be affected. House rents remain the same, school fee remains the same. Last March I sent £1000 to my young ones for school fee which come out to be N500,000 while last week I sent the same £1000 which comes out to be N610,000 the school fee didn’t change meaning they have more extra money to spend. Lol there is nothing Naira is not affecting in the country boss. House rent of 90k a year in my school has been increased to 130k for just one small self con. This year o. Even school hostel accommodation used to be 12000 now it is 25000. Things are very expensive in the country sir. House rent is even on top of the list. Uniben was paying 14000 for school fee as at 2017 now school fee is 45000 with possibility of increment, the way things are going. Hopefully not. I don't even know if it was the Naira that affected that one or the government was just being wicked. 45k for admission acceptance fee is now 70000. I believe the unstable Naira has a hand in all these economic inflation directly and indirectly. This is not just applicable to Uniben, some other federal and state universities have increased their school fee appreciably over the past two years I don't even want to go towards the area of transport fare hike, food and clothes. You are really underestimating the hardship in Nigeria currently. |

greenskittles: Thanks for checking, I just don't come here anymore for some reasons.
I'm finishing up my first quarter at Stanford this week. It's been incredible. The school is insanely tough and really lives up to its reputation. Feels like I've learned what I would learn in a session in Nigeria in one quarter.
Hope you're doing great too. Wow you have landed in the US already!? Congrats bro. Being in one of the best schools out there comes with a price and lots of sacrifice i guess. Please come back to the thread and be dropping updates for future migrants biko I need that kind of "stress" in my life o @bolded. Nothing compared to living or schooling in Nigeria. I'm doing great. Wish you goodluck and success in your endeavours. |

Philadelphia: Nobody forced you to share your transcript. I don’t see any need for your to share transcript and be hiding details using xx university or $xx. I’m mean, how is this even beneficial to anyone learning?
How would you have learnt if others before you shared transcript this way?
Nobody beg or force you to share transcript Albeit excluding his choice university and place of work, I actually learnt a lot from his transcripts than I did with most others. It was well detailed and concise. I don't see why the university he is going to should be anyone's problem. |

Omo, yankee sweet abeg. The thought of the better life should be enough to get people fired up! and get them Moving!
Six months ago, I had 5 problems, solving only one would have been a Huge achievement - Get Certified Leave California get a New Job with Higher Job Title make More Money
I achieved 5 outta 6 - Certified by the world recognized body for quality, got a new job as a Senior Engr with a 12% salary increase, then added and solved problem number 6! because once problems finish, you need to create a new one and solve it! That how I inherited sweet problem number 6. What is your advice for present undergraduates now oga Macky. How would immigration projections be like in 4 to 5 years time. |

Chicago213: @OP your question makes no sense. If you have gotten a house and a stable source of income as u claim (not fact), why immigrate? Are you moving to further your education or what..
Young man go back to your drawing board and go figure properly why u want to move... So because someone has a house and a stable income in Nigeria, that is good enough reason not to migrate Imagine this level of thinking. Your own statement makes no sense. |

Kekereekun123: Steeles Avenue east Canada always gives off this aura of a lonely and solitude environment even in their major cities. I guess it's because of the ratio of the small population to the massive land mass or life post-covid. I do bet that there are no traffic or hold Up's on Canadian roads. Regardless, I love the country so much. The peace, the quiet, the serenity, the tranquility. I can't wait. |

omgismholly: Delsu. I tell u very broad. sometimes I feel 4yrs is not enough. lotta pple think it's majorly about the domestic animals. once I say this is wat I studied they start talking about goats, chicken n the rest Environmental management, green energy, climate change, toxicology, marine biology. These are particularly the areas that interests me. I am more attached to nature so I am specializing in the environmental biology aspect to animal biology. Funny thing is, I have made a lot of research. Animal biologists in Canada and USA work closely related to veterinary doctors. If you study zoology and specialize in animal biology. It is very easy to become a vet doctor abroad. And those vet doctors are highly paid. There are so many opportunities abroad studying this course. Nigeria is just fvcked up. Have you graduated? |
