An army officer, Captain Garba Sani, told the Rivers State Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday‎ that he never saw where election was conducted in Tai Local Government Area where he and his other men were deployed to maintain peace and order on April 11, 2015, the day the poll was scheduled to hold. Sani, a subpoenaed witness, who said he led 37 other soldiers on a patrol of the entire Tai, which is one of the 23 local government areas in Rivers State, said he appeared before the tribunal on the directive of army authorities.

While briefing newsmen, the Spokesperson of the force, Olabisi Kolawole said the the authorized persons are:

Kolawole said that the police would not hesitate to arrest and prosecute defaulters.

She said: “The police will not relent in their effort to carry out their duty. We will still go by the Federal government circular in implementing the directive”

She further reminded motorists to make use of the whistle-blowing platform to report police personnel who engage is extortion

“We are saying that if people were paying before they should not do that any longer,” she added.

Why should we be second guessing the reason behind his sudden resignation if he has absolutely nothing to lose considering his age at the time.

u are the one second guessing not me. Its a decision of urs not me. The reason he gave earlier is also valid considering his age and state of health. This second reason is just a further eye opener.

Think about it, would we be in the same position if Sanusi didn't whistle blow about the ongoing corrupt practices enshrined in the workings of the nation's engine room. Yes he faced the ultimate price but prosperity will forever judge him kindly!
