I stayed in NAF BASE for 12years and mhen, twas a gud childhood experience. All d kids came out to play wen our parents had gone to work and as soon as u see ur parents coming, u scamper like a mad dog. Twas a place where pidgin english was our language of communication. We never shared toilets cos evry house had deirs. We never paid nepa bills too.

Was posted to katsina 2012 batch C but I redeployed sharp sharp. I couldn't cope with not being able to speak or understand hausa. I almost even got missing on my way to the camp because I couldn't communicate in hausa.

Redeployment was very easy during my time. All the ppl that applied for redeployment were granted. You just need to fill the redeployment form attached with a hand written letter and ur medical report or marriage evidence. You will be told that redeployment is granted only on two conditions: only if ur married or u av a life threaten sickness.
Married ppl will need evidence of their change of name, marriage certificate etc while that of medical issue is their medical report and hospital card.
During my time, all the ppl claiming to have one medical problem or the other were all called for an interview so as to prove the authenticity of ur ailment.

Do not let ur heart be troubled even if u have no medical report or marriage evidence, just fill the form and write an application letter stating ur reasons and submit. Ppl that did that during my time were granted redeployment but not everybody was redeployed to the state he/she applied for.

U can scan and send it tru his mail. He will just need to print it out. There is a place they also forge medical report at the mami market for any state and sickness of ur choice. The medical report can even be printed in colored for u @ #1000. Wish u goodluck with a little patience

Watch what you say. When the lawmakers themselves break the law, what do you expect from the citizens? If the roads were in perfect condition, there wouldn't be traffic congestion and there wouldn't be a need to form 3 to 4 lanes.

Robertomatteo: Thank you Mr Jarus for the kind words and compliments. I read Environmental Biology in school and finished with a second class lower. I have not been called up for any interview yet and often times I lay it down to the fact that I graduated with a second class lower in a less glamorous course of study but the truth is that I know what I can offer as an individual.

When it comes to skills, the only one I have is the ability to write. However, in these months I have been Idle, I have been cheated countless times all in the name of writing for people. No one wants to pay, and those that will pay can only part with paltry sums barely enough to pay for the internet research time. If I have been able to land a writing or editing job with reasonable pay, I won't be in this situation today.

Regarding having patience, I wish I could do more than this. You are right with my Graduation and NYSC timing but Sir, I simply cannot afford to go into next year without anything doing. Who knows, I could even be thrown out of the current place am staying anytime soon as the guy am staying with is already showing negative vibes and going back home will only kill my parents a little further.

Painfully, I see people I am much better than academically landing positions all over Abuja (both government and private parastatals on a daily basis).

There are lots of opportunity you can get online with ur good writing skills. You could go into bloging, freelance writing etc and can raise cash through that. You can search for sites that are designed for such.

nice thread and advice here. Mr ajanlekoko, have been following your threads for so long. I do enjoy your posts and avice on this section. You are among the few nairalanders that i would love to meet including jarus and the mod yakmuza, he once adviced someone and cleared his doubt on the prospects of getting a job as a library and information science student which i am one and just graduated recently. His contributions were useful and i got one or two things from that thread. I so much love nairaland because of how people come together to brainstorm on issues and leaves us with a vast information to choose from and apply to add value to our lives. I would love if you guys with your immense exposure can shed more light on this course and how relevant it is in the working environment which you find yourself. Thanks
