EgunMogaji:Thanks for airing your opinion. We can only get better. |
EgunMogaji:You have just assumed! Our first episode focuses on cars in Nigeria auto history...the cars we rocked as Nigerians.... Whilst we tried our efforts to make a very good quality show, it is not elitist and cuts across all spheres of Nigerian life Now you love some Omotola which we appreciate. We try as much as possible to make the content as Nigerian as possible despite the fact that most of our cars are imports. Thanks for the comments. Criticism would assist us in getting better. |

from my research, this particular generation of camaros came at a period when: **USA just implemented the 'Clean Air Act of 1970' which called for a 90% reduction in automotive emissions by 1975 **elimination of lead in gasoline was implemented **in order to meet these stringent regulations, GM had to lower the compression ratios of its engines. **These brought down the hp and torque available significantly. **Bumpers were also concurrently required to meet the 5mph standard...the cars become uglier **the camaro also got cats during this period which also robbed the hp further in summary, the second generation camaros were not as powerful nor stylistic as their predecessors. Despite this, they were sold at a profit. its fall could be attributed to a change in customer appeal from those classic lines to the 'modern' look cars started taking in the early 80s in order to accommodate the new crash safety requirements....plus their lack of relative power for emphasis, compare the 79 mustang to the one it replaced; compare this particular camaro with the one it replaced too. To have an industry outlook, compare also the w124 v-booth with the w123 regular ps...notice how the replacements for the camaro, challenger and mustang look similar in design approach compared to their predecessors.

EgunMogaji:Why is it 'Junk'? Please educate us. Many thanks |
diportivo:Nice dig. this should be a 1974 to 1978 Chevrolet Camaro. US safety regulations introduced crappy-looking bumpers on all cars of that period which made them look 'different'. I wonder why this car is in its present state. are the owners interested in selling? The plate number shows this car has been out of commission for long.... this is how the car should look in the right hands https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZpbZPFRwXE |
samally:What will he do with the engine? Use as centre table? |

Originalsly:let me respond with a quote: When we’re on the hot end of the temperature range, the much more important value in the cooling system is what’s called the specific heat capacity. The heat capacity is basically how much heat energy the coolant can carry out of the engine and to the radiator. As far as carrying heat goes, water does a really good job. It’s actually one of the most effective coolants that could possibly be used. The specific heat capacity of ethylene glycol is only about 65% of water at the temperatures seen in a cooling system. That means that to cool the engine by one degree, you would need about 50% more of it than straight water. So even though you could use pure antifreeze as a coolant, or any other liquid for that matter, you would need a bigger radiator and more robust cooling system compared to one that used straight water. Here is what happens to heat capacity as our coolant mixture changes: Water has the highest possible heat capacity. The drawbacks of a 100% water cooling system is freezing during winter, rusts to the internal components plus lack of lubrication. The thermostat of a car is still being made with metal and not Alcohol. In addition, please note that Coolants are also known as ANTIFREEZE...and that's for a reason http://hellafunctional.com/?p=629

This cutlass is definitely older than 1969. The 1968 and later sported split grilles. This has seamless chrome up all front This is a first gen 1962 cutlass that has being either fully restored or properly maintained or both. Better classical value Attached are pictures of `69 cutlass Happy sales on the classic... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldsmobile_Cutlass

The beetle is coming up with a surprise shortly.. |
kingreign:I yam hia oooo |
Did you notice he didn't hide the baby's picture like all these funny yeyebrities....savage et al. And these yeyebrities including blue ivy's father don't have up to half of his worth |
Have you taken into consideration *distance covered *Mass moved over said distance *speed *reliability over distance |
nnamdibig:So it was a bus doing over 170kmph? You are lucky to be alive. |
So unfortunate. This is a testament to the rigidity of the vehicle's structure. This beetle has seen all forms of harassment, slavery, humiliation and systematic brainwashing yet it still moves with at least 500kg of commodities. Unfortunately, they have used a tire to block the air inlets at the rear. The engine would soon fry itself in Lagos traffic, if the roof load doesn't crush the driver sooner. |
There was a time when driving from Ikeja to link the oshodi express, you would see like 3 of these cars abandoned and literally pushed into the drainage. When Fashola's cleaners resumed to ensure Lagos was kept clean, those cars dissapeared. Hoping you would get soon. |
