Where were you when Ribadu & Northern elites were bursting their balls for Tinubu, a southern president? Now that BAT is president you're suddenly awaken from your slumber & worrying about Ribadu & Northerners loyalty to BAT? Northerners gave more vote to BAT than the south where he came from. If you really care & sincere, you should be more worried about the vengeful Southerners betraying BAT, their own. The majority of them rejected him, not the north. |
Politics › Re: Dangote, PH Refineries, Others Won’t Change Fuel Price – NNPCL by Dennisbulkan: 11:25am On Jun 02, 2023 |
1Alex: Are the foreign refiners not paying salaries and making profits too? Of course they do. The cost of imported fuel would be way above N1,000/Liter without government subsidy. Now federal government said they cannot pay subsidy again, now the price of imported fuel will start rising gradually. The price of commodity is determined by supply & demand.. When Dangote starts supplying the market & the imported petrol keeps coming into our market then we may have excess supply & the price will consequently fall but if the supply of imported fuel drop & it's only Dangote that supply the market, he can control at whatever price he wishes to sell his petrol. It's an open market economy. Nobody can dictate to Dangote at what price to sell his petrol. If Dangote's petrol is too expensive you can keep importing foreign petrol. Dangote's refinery will provide more employment for Nigerians & greatly reduce unemployment directly & indirectly, boost our GDP, reduce our export deficit, reduce foreign exchange & dollar scarcity, that's the benefits Nigerians should expect to get from local production of petrol. Don't expect sudden drop in price, look into the bigger picture. |
Politics › Re: Dangote, PH Refineries, Others Won’t Change Fuel Price – NNPCL by Dennisbulkan: 9:11am On Jun 02, 2023 |
Dennisbulkan: Dangote refinery is a profit making organization; it borrowed tens of billions of dollars which accrue interest overtime, someone has to payback all the money right? The refinery employed thousands of Nigerians that dangote pays their salary, right? & dangote built the refinery to make profit, put all of these into perspective including the cost of crude oil per barrel, cost of production, taxes, logistics & come with your own calculation & let's see.
Benefits: Dangote refinery is not a government or a non profit organization. It will boost our GDP & many more. You can do more research on this subject to educate yourself. 1Alex: So what's the difference between local production and importation?
He did not say why the price will remain same. He only said that the refineries will add cost of refining the product, why will the pump price remain same if the cost of importation is removed? Dangote refinery is a profit making organization; it borrowed tens of billions of dollars which accrue interest overtime, someone has to payback all the money right? The refinery employed thousands of Nigerians that dangote pays their salary, right? & dangote built the refinery to make profit, put all of these into perspective including the cost of crude oil per barrel, cost of production, taxes, logistics & come with your own calculation & let's see. Hopeless hypocrite. It's not my fault that you're still haunted by the past. Your life is stalk in the past. You chose not to grow, you're fixated & unprogressive. I'm progressive, I learn new things & unlearned what is outdated & my views changes with time & experience. You & me are a complete opposite of each other. alizma: Common driving around in this Port Harcourt is an issue. The way they will rush you in their numbers to demand for tickets upon tickets, you will think you have armed robbers chasing you. Before you know it, they will forcefully take your car keys, while you are still trying to find out your offence, one of them will enter your vehicle and zoom off, the others will then tell you to join them in their vehicle to their camp where they will drain your pocket. Things to know even when your papers are complete, never wind down when you approach a slow traffic area, if they eventually stop you, don't clear off the road easily because that makes it easier for them, most importantly, never hand over all your papers to them, asked them which particular paper that team is checking, then check your papers and show it to them that you have it, if you hand it over to them, they will act like they are passing it over to others to check and before you know it, one is removed and you will be told that you don't have that particular one. Private cars too dey collect tickets in port Harcourt? Ha! |

God bless Africa. I have said it loud and in clear terms,we should all adopt the Nnewi model, start from home and gradually grow big, presently many towns in Anambra are turning to an industrial hub and so in some other Igbo states. We can make it happen with or without the FG,it is possible,a new Igbo land....we have the zeal and with tenacity of purpose and with God on our side within a very short period the total transformation of Igbo land will happen. Dangote, musa rabiu, Tony elumelu & otedola did it quietly without fanfare & out of public eye until they became so big to be ignored. I advice innoson & airspeace to do the same to stave off bad competitors & vindictive governments. Too much media exposure, no secrets, every single & sensitive little investment moves get leaked at inception stage, that's very bad business. He's gonna be having lazy competitors start locking in for opportunity now by sabotage. |
