I am against premarital sex as well. But if teenagers MUST have sex, they should be married before it.

How many people in the North do you think marry that early? I believe very few. These days, they wait until after their secondary school education at least.

There has been too much of propaganda on these kinds of issues. The press gets busy and happy to blow it beyond proportions. While it does happen that girl marry at young ages, those who marry later are much more.

That the girls dont consent is a fallacy. When something is the norm somewhere, they look forward to it. As an example, despite female genital mutilation being painful , girls did it on themselves after it was outlawed in Kenya in 1956 as a show of defiance to the law.They hated that their rite of passage wouldnt be carried out. It is a matter of indoctrination and nothing proves that the girls dont consent/look forward to it.

Of course VVF is real. But is it even the only kind of fistula that exists?Would you stop people from having children because of the possibility of having children with birth defects? Risks arent so measurable.

I just don't see the point in all of the noise. Whatever energy to be spent on this should be on education which can be much more helpful.

The FG and NGOs need to do more in improving and encouraging education in Northern Nigeria. With that, the cases of teen marriage and not necessarily teen pregnancy(which actually should be the bigger concern), would reduce.

They are active, anyway. The need to allow them is seen in many parts of the world.

In Germany(or not), condoms to fit teenagers are now being produced. In Islam, premarital sex is not allowed and if such teenagers would better be married, good for them

And the education part, nothing stops them from going to school. They do go to school still

If it had lingered, they would have lost their jobs (what is the use of a broker that cannot trade?)

About the Nigerian Christians, I have seen many of them at school, airports, here on NL etc and they have never succeeded in hiding their intolerance.

I am not asking for Saudi to allow the Christians. In fact many of the strict laws only exist in makka and madinna. There are cities where a lot of atrocities are committed under the government's nose. In such cases I wish the laws are reviewed to suit the Islamic practice more.
