Ambode's failure abi Tinubu's Godfatherism?
Giving Ambode automatic 2nd term ticket is imposition and godfatherism and lack of internal democracy.

Keep quiet if you don't know the difference.

You ipobs are used to incompetence with your village governors so it's understandable that you don't know the difference.

Unfortunately for Ambode, abandoning and neglecting Fashola's projects is one of his many critical sins apart from the fact that he's grossly incompetent and thoughtless.

Make no mistake about his submissive mien at Jim Ovia's book launch, it is normal just wait for the drama that is about to unfold. To the Op you raised fantastic observations that really got my attention but I can.assure you that Ambode has more sinister move at hand that will shock Tinubu. The truth is, Ambode will defect to another party to contest at the right time and he will split APC further. Ambode has his own well built but not loud structure already in Lagos.......watch out
So, you are confirming that he set up his own parallel structure and engaged in anti arty activities?

And you wonder he's getting kicked out.

Ambode tried to save Lagos from perpetual slavery but it backfired.

Game Plan:

1. Beg Tinubu (The arrogant landlord).

2. Allow the primaries to take place. If you win, Tinubu is with you. If you lose he is now your enemy.

3. Now Tinubu is your enemy, set up a secret remote private meeting with PDP presidential flag bearer using secured Cisco connection (to hide from preying eyes of public) and make a deal. "I will deliver Lagos to PDP and I will get either minister for petroleum or power, works and housing"

4. If the deal seal through contact Obj, IBB and TY Danjuma (Buhari's enemies and strong men) let them know about this agreement.

5. Finally, use your state power covertly and nail APC. Defect to PDP the now ruling party as a minister and new jagaban of lagos

cheesy
The issue on the table is beyond Tinubu and the APC, the real issue and obstacle before him are Lagosians because Ambode failed them and the APC.

Tinubu and the APC are trying to push Ambode out primarily because they don't want to lose Lagos to the opposition because of Ambode's failure and secondarily because of his management skills and anti party ways.

Thing is continuity is a vital part of governance...if another person takes over now, there is that possibility of him giving contracts out to different persons, abandoning pre-existing projects or even deciding to start all over with his own m.o. For example, the whole Eko Atlantic other mega projects become stalled.
This has always been one of the problems of the country!!
ps: I'm not saying he's automatically entitled to the two terms
Eko Atlantic is strictly a private project, not a state government project.

In all the above submission page 1 nobody has been able to postulate a solid reason why ambode should be allowed a second term- what level of myopic(ity)

1. Ambode thrash the brt plan - instead on developing on the existing structure- eac garage was supposed to be man by a private investor, beautifying all the dark spots and create employment which was to serve as part of the engine room of job creation and public private partnership.

2. The lagos light rail project which was supposed to take off ambode decided to sideline the project instead of making it a priority project, even here on nairaland he makes the project look like a ghost project.

3. He also thrashed the psp project instead of strengthen it, which were indirectly employing retirees and a vast number of nigerians - and bought in vision scape -

4. Lastma was on the brink of being thrashed if not for the level of en-threnchment in the lagos traffic structure

Do I mention more?
Many of them are ipobs and their main issue as usual is hatred and bitterness against Tinubu, they care less about Lagos State or Ambode's failure and his lousy job.

It's perfectly ok to label it whatever you desire, but it's still better tban automatic ticket where failed governors are easily rewarded with 2nd terms no question asked while capable candidates are ignored.

Ambode failed, he's incompetent and vision less. The sad efecta of his failure are out there for lagosians to see everyday.

Lagos regressed under Ambode and we are practically back to pre 1999 Lagos.

Btw, the mandate group failed to get rid of Fashola because Lagosians spoke up and defended Fashola, are Lagosians speaking up, standing up or defending Ambode? No, because he failed them and they see signs of his failure all over the place place.

My bro if you are in Lagos , you'll realise that you haven't said anything at all here, Tinubu knows Ambode has lost all support and that if he joins , it will only create eternal enmity between him and Ambode and on the flipside if he doesn't he'll lose everyone's backing that's why he is pushing forward the direct primary idea, Godfatherism can never leave Lagos Politics and Nigerian politics as long as we have the current set of politicians...
If they were trying to remove God fatherism, who are these members of the Mandate Group supporting Sanwo Olu ? Tell me this and break it down then you'll determine how true your position/view is..
Ambode losing is really not the issue here, it's how we move forward and how we pick our leaders.

We've been railing against imposition and lack of internal democracy so why all of a sudden when suggested and implemented we are against direct primaries and internal democracy and prefer the same thing we've been complaining against? It makes no sense.

Mandate group or not, it's still a step in the right direction, no more automatic tickets, and imposition.

Just imagine how supposedly learned people in Lagos are allowing one man called Tinubu to determine their fates. This is shameful! Instead of rallying round their governor to save the state from Tinubu's grip they are here supporting him.
If not for the wisdom of Anambra people, the state would have continued to exist at the mercy of the Uba family. But Ngige and other wise men from Anambra fought hard to save the state from Godfatherism and today they are enjoying good leadership.

Truly people get the kind of leaders they deserve.

Stop boring us with your ipob ignorance.

Giving the automatic ticket to Ambode without direct primaries is imposition and god fatherism and lack of a level playing field

Ambode competing with other candidates via direct primaries where Lagosians get to decide and pick their own leader is doing away with imposition and god fatherism and this is what we are trying to get rid of.

It's even retarrded and hypocritical to be against god fatherism and imposition still preaching in favor of imposition?

Is this the usual ipob ignorance or just confusion and mental disease?

Number 1 problem Politics of GodFatherism

Clearly we see the results of the election. Lagosian no even get say again tongue huh huh
1. Automatic ticket without direct primaries = Imposition by party leader and bigwigs, lack of internal democracy and god fatheriams

2. No automatic ticket, direct primaries where the people decide and internal democracy = Lack of internal democracy and god fatherism.

Ambode getting automatic without direct primaries where Laosians get to decide and pick their own leaders is imposition and god fatherism.

They are trying to do away with god fatherism, but you confused village ipobs still want them to continue with the same imposition and god fatherism.

The assistant director, public affairs, of the Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Shina Thorpe, however said, “We were there two Fridays ago for inspection and you would see that the service lane has been finished to a point. And don’t forget that with the rains, there is no way they can work. The rains have to subside. If they do any work in the rain, they would have to do it over again. So, work has not stopped on the project.”

On the alleged non-payment of the contractor, he explained: “There are payment schedules and the state government is working with those schedules. You don’t expect the government to pay everything without the work completed. Government is working with the payment schedules.”Both reconstructions were expected to end notorious gridlocks and scale up property in the area. The Lagos State government had promised to deliver the Oshodi-Airport Road in 15 months. It was to be upgraded from four to 10 lanes. Work commenced on September 2017. The Agege Pen Cinema Bridge had a December 2018 completion date.

In Anambra State, immediate past government of Peter Obi, instead of implementing the N18.000 minimum wage, just added N10,000 and just recently, the incumbent governor merely effected a15 percent increment to the workers’ salaries which still fell short of the N18.000 minimum wage.

Seriously am a full fledged Tinubu follower

Ambode will win in any party
Ambode's exit ship don sail long long time ago.

He can win primary in the PDP or any other party, but he can not win any election in Lagos because Lagosians don't like him.

Are Lagosians defending Ambode or sunning to his side like they did in favor Fashola? No.

1. Ambode is a sad and pathetic victim of Ambode himself simply because he created his own mess and downfall and he topped it off with incompetence, thoughtless policies and needless arrogance and poor leadership skills.

2. Ambode failed across the board and Lagosians are not feeling him like they did Fashola.

3. Fashola set the bar, but Ambode fell short and the fact that he sidetracked laid down winning formulas set by his predecessors didn't help his case especially with obvious effects of his failure all over the place for Lagosians to see 24/7

4. Tinubu as the face and leader of the APC in Lagos can not afford to let Ambode or any bad and incompetent Governor screw up their chances in Lagos state so I do understand his concern politically.

5. Direct primaries has nothing to do with Ambode and Tinubu can not in one breath preach and advocate direct primaries all over the country and in another breath do imposition and god-fatherism in his own state.

6. Ambode drank too much power and picked fights with everybody, he even fought Aregbesola in Osun.

The man is too petty and vindictive, he abandoned Fashola's projects and even duplicated many just to erase Fashola's achievements.

Bottom line, Ambode failed professionally and politically.

Good riddance.
