Osibanjo trying to give the Presidency a false deniability after failed NASS coup

Vice President Prof Yemi Osibanjo has acted in response to the failed NASS coup by firing the Head of the Department for State Security, Lawal Daura and denying the Presidency's awareness of the invasion of the National Assembly.
As early as 7 am it was reported that masked DSS men had beseiged the National Assembly and locked one of the gates to prevent PDP members from entering while Senator Ahmed Lawan was with a band of APC senators prepping them on the Impeachment of the Senate President and his Deputy Dr. Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu today.
However hideous moves were exposed as media houses rushed to the National Assembly to take coverage of the illegal attempt to impeach the Senate President. Mrs Boma Godhead a Rivers Lawmaker was seen exchanging words with an armed DSS operative daring him to shoot. This comes after Senate President Saraki had dumped the ruling party for what he described as a marginalisation of the Senate President who played a key role in bringing the party to power and the lack of respect for the National Assembly since they got on board.

However the Vice President has dismissed his awareness of such attrocities today and instead shielded the Presidency as being against it. According to him

" This unlawful act was done against the approval of the Presidency and is condemnable "

His decision to fire the DSS boss comes after youths took to Twitter to bash the VP over his compromise body language over the issue.
Many Nigerians believe that President Buhari's exit from the country was in anticipation and preparation of this undemocratic act to ensure that if it fails the Presidency can be given a plausible deniability over it. Lawal Daura is only a victim of the power struggle as his sacking has come after the media houses had exposed the hidden agenda and not based on justice for what his operatives bad done. It is regrettable and astonishing that the Presidency would be in the dark over such a sensitive issue and it is not the first time this has happened as a fortnight ago the Presidency denied knowledge of the seige on Senator Saraki's home as the Senate President dribbled past them in a covert way to hold plenary session where he announced the defection of 15 senators. Saraki had blown the alarm of a possible attempt to use security operatives against him few days ago and truly it panned out correct. And while Lawal Daura may have got the sack, it is unsatisfactory for the VP to claim innocence over such a shameful, failed NASS coup.

Informing the DSS that the APC legislators are already in to commence impeachment proceedings is uncalled for
Contrary to reports that APC legislator are already in the chamber, TVC is reporting that no APC legislator has been seen around NASS. One of the Saraki's aide has also been circulating claims that APC senators are meeting at Sheraton Hotel.
If any of d above is true, Why then are only the PDP legislators the ones at the National Assembly and are been blocked by the DSS as reported? Could it be that they were there to do something other than they are making us understand?

If this money was used for development, buhari and his minions would have beat their chest proudly, saying he started and completed a project, maybe, just maybe some people would have considered, but no, they want to pay off people who would approve money easily for them so rigging the election would be very easy.

Senate Minority Leader Godswill Akpabio, who is expected to be received into the All Progressives Congress (APC) tomorrow in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, yesterday visited Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to round off his consultation.

Akpabio arrived at Tinubu’s Abuja home at 4pm.

A source said: “Sen. Akpabio met with the National Leader of APC to brief him and for further consultations ahead of his defection. There is no going back on his defection.”

“He has had audience with President Muhammadu Buhari in London, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, and he deemed it necessary to consult with Asiwaju Tinubu.

“All these consultations are geared towards his seamless movement from PDP to APC.”

Another source, who is close to Akpabio, said: “It is a done deal; the Senate Minority Leader has joined the APC to prove a point that he is no pushover as a politician who truly served Akwa Ibom State.

“He is actually not looking at the ceremonial aspect of the defection; he is ready for the 2019 battle in his state. He gave the PDP enough opportunity to reconcile and ensure justice in Akwa Ibom chapter of the party but the leadership failed.

“Since Akpabio is now in APC, it is time for the two leading parties to face the electorate to determine their fate.”

But the PDP in Akwa Ibom State, in a last-minute effort to persuade Akpabio not to dump the party, is threatening to field a candidate against him – should he go ahead with his plan.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, said: “No condition is attached to Akpabio’s defection from PDP to APC. But we assured him of a level-playing field and a sense of belonging.

“The APC leadership is in the picture and all our leaders, including Asiwaju Tinubu, are fully in support of Sen. Akpabio’s move to our great party

“We will accord him all the privileges attached to a former governor. Everything is set to receive him on Wednesday.”

Akpabio’s imminent movement has thrown the PDP into a state of shock.

A member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) said: “We are all still in shock on why Akpabio had to dump a party which shot him into prominence.

“Some of our leaders did their best to prevent his defection, but no one could come up with any sustainable solution to the local crisis.”

Enang said: “The APC has harvested more people from the PDP and other political parties.”

He said excitedly that “the head of the PDP in the Senate is formally joining the APC family in a big ceremony on Wednesday the 8th if August in Akwa Ibom State”.

He added: “So, the head of the PDP who holds all the documents of the PDP, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio (CON) is coming over with a great team and other minorities will join the APC family and we are good and strong.”
