Mrs. Folashade Ode

MD/CEO

Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. (nahco aviance) is a Nigerian diversified enterprise with interests in aviation cargo, aircraft handling, passenger facilitation, crew transportation, fueling services and aviation training.

The company currently serves more than 35 airlines at thirteen airports across Nigeria, with plans to expand operations to other African countries. It handles about 75% of domestic, 83% foreign airlines and 80% of cargo airlines operating in Nigeria.

nahco aviance was incorporated on December 6th 1979 as an aviation servicing company but started operations in April 1979 with the commissioning of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. The Federal Government of Nigeria, through Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), initially held 60% equity interest in the company while four foreign airlines - Air France, British Airways, Sabena and Lufthansa - shared the remaining 40% in various ratios.

In 2005, nahco aviance was privatized and subsequently listed on The Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2006. The company is now owned by over 75, 000 individual shareholders and five (5) institutional shareholders, namely: Air France, Lufthansa Airlines, Sycor Private Investment Limited, Rosehill Group Nigeria Limited and Awhua Resources Limited. The company’s stock exchange symbol is “Nahco”.

Since its privatization, the company has embarked on business diversification programme that cuts across industries and geography, as a result of which it has developed strategic global alliances through its membership of aviance, the global alliance of 10 reputable airport service providers operating from 112 stations in 17 countries, and The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), which exists to promote the air cargo industry and world trade. In 2010, nahco aviance was awarded the ISAGO certification, the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations, becoming the first ground handling company in West Africa to receive one of the aviation industry’s highest honours for safety and service quality, and has been recertified till 2018. nahco aviance is rated A by Augusto and A-by Data Pro.

Pursuant to the company’s commitment to exceptional value creation for shareholders, it is currently consolidating its aviation services operations and expanding across Africa.

The company currently operates a Free Trade Zone, first of its kind in the industry, in addition to other subsidiaries, employing 1,700 Nigerian and expatriate staff

Insurance and Risk Management

Insurance and risk management is now widely viewed as a critical boardroom issue. It is the cornerstone of every company’s capital structure. A poorly constructed program may leave your organization vulnerable to major long-term setbacks, or worse, insolvency and bankruptcy. When well-designed, an insurance and risk management program frees you to pursue your vision—unhindered by concerns that you may need to hoard precious financial capital or maintain unusually high levels of liquidity.

Human Capital Consulting

Glanvill is a top risk solution provider providing a complete array of consulting, and insurance brokerage services. Our professionals possess extensive knowledge and experience in a variety of fields and help companies manage their risk portfolio. We can help you achieve better business results that fit with your broad financial and business goals.

Reinsurance

Reinsurance is critical to helping insurance companies underwrite risk profitably, while preserving or enhancing capital strength and ratings. Glanvill Reinsurance is a leading reinsurance broker and intermediary, provides clients with integrated capital solutions and services, delivering objective advice and fostering competition among highly rated reinsurers and an expanding array of new and alternative capital providers. Clients are better able to differentiate and meet their business objectives with our treaty and facultative reinsurance placement services, capital markets expertise, and relevant analytics and technical expertise.

To effectively deliver these, and other, services, Glanvills has developed a global network of local resources brought together via our Business Units and a Strategic Account Management system. These resources let us deliver services to multinational companies, small businesses, independent agents or brokers, associations and affinity groups and even individual consumer.

Politics › A-29 Super Tucano – A Force Multiplier In COIN. Realcleardefense. by deomelo(op): 10:16pm On Sep 07, 2017
https://assets.realclear.com/images/42/428767.jpg

Air power cannot win wars. But without it, land forces rarely prevail. This was true for Allied forces in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and, of course, the 1991 Persian Gulf War and the 2003 invasion of Iraq. It is equally true for today’s struggle against insurgents and terrorist groups such as ISIS, al Qaeda, and Boko Haram.

After the conclusion of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, the U.S. Air Force recognized the need to rebuild an Afghan Air Force (AAF) and provide it with combat aircraft suited to both that country’s operational environment and its limited financial, technical and human resources. Since it was anticipated that the U.S. and its coalition partners would one day leave the country, whatever aircraft the AAF acquired would have to be ones they could operate and sustain with indigenous resources. The U.S. Air Force defined a requirement for a light air support (LAS) platform that could provide the Afghan military with reliable close air support, convoy escort, reconnaissance, and training.

Based on a competitive procurement, in 2013 the U.S. Air Force awarded the LAS contract to a team headed by Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) for the A-29 Super Tucano. Based on the proven Embraer aircraft, the A-29 is a relatively simple, sturdy, propeller-driven aircraft, able to operate from austere airfields. However, the LAS is equipped with advanced electro-optical sensors, modern avionics, a laser target designator, a 20mm cannon, two 12.7mm machine guns and the ability to carry a wide variety of munitions including precision-guided ordinance. One of the most effective weapons is BAE’s Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System, a 70mm laser-guided rocket with a three-foot miss distance. The Sierra Nevada/Embraer team also is providing training for Afghan pilots and mechanics, mission planning stations, mission debrief systems, long lead spares, Afghanistan base activation, site surveys and flight certification support.

The A-29 first began operating in Afghanistan in 2016. Twelve aircraft have been delivered, seven are in the U.S. for training, and another six will be provided to the AAF by 2018. Over the past eighteen months, the LAS have conducted hundreds of missions across the country including at high altitudes and in regions with extreme temperatures. Afghan maintainers, trained in the U.S, have demonstrated a growing ability to support a high operational tempo. It is likely that over time additional aircraft will be bought in order to allow the AAF to provide air support throughout Afghanistan.

The capabilities the A-29 provides has drawn the attention of other nations facing similar challenges from terrorist organizations, as well as the need to surveil and secure long land borders. The U.S. government has agreed to sell six Super Tucanos to Lebanon which is dealing with a number of threats to its security. Recently, the U.S. government approved Nigeria’s request for twelve A-29s. This country is in a deadly struggle with one of the most vicious ISIS-affiliated groups, Boko Haram, but lacks the appropriate aircraft to conduct ground attack/ISR operations over the heavily forested terrain in which the terrorist group operates. With its advanced sensors and laser designator, the A-29 will enable the Nigerian Air Force to conduct precise close air support strikes in populated areas while reducing the risk of collateral damage. The A-29 is the perfect aircraft for Nigeria

While attention has naturally been focused on the A-29’s abilities for weapons delivery, it is equally useful as an ISR platform. The LAS is currently deployed with a turret mounting sophisticated electro-optical/infrared sensors and a laser designator. SNC has been developing additional options for the A-29’s avionics and sensor suites. With its ability to operate from austere airfields and in a wide range of environmental conditions, the A-29 is well suited to the border security mission. There are many countries dealing with long, porous borders that would find the A-29 a useful addition to their national security capabilities.

The A-29’s growing popularity reflects the fundamental soundness of the aircraft itself and the value provided by its various electronics and sensor systems. Nations acquiring the SNC/Embraer variant of the Super Tucano get a cost-effective and versatile aircraft that can support a wide variety of missions. Based on its performance in Afghanistan, it is likely that other countries battling insurgents and terrorists will want to take a serious look at the A-29.

Maybe you don't have a dictionary or maybe google simply don't work on phone, but here is the definition of marginalize.... Treat a group as insignificant or peripheral. I hope u comprehend that.. Igbos are not asking to live better, quote me anywhere anytime, i have been to round south.. And i can swear to you Igbos are doing better than any tribe in terms of personal development.. When igbos are talking about marginalization, they are talking about what the federal government have entirely neglected to do in the region as the federal government job to do it, not the state.. Incase you don't know. Nigeria is a federation where the common wealth are shared in the 36 states and budget allocation... Including appointment in the various federation. So when a group feels they are neglected to be part of these process, they can use the word federation... I hope you comprehend that.....

So please don't try and say igbos should do better, go to osun, ogun, ekiti, nasarawa, bornu or adamawa and advocate your pity do better speech

Lack of federal presence is not limited to iboland so what's your point? Where is the federal presence in the North and even in the SW?

There are federal airports in iboland, they also have onitsha port and seaports in the SS that you have access to, you have federal roads that your elected officials at the federal level ignored and refused to fight for so face them and hold them accountable because it's their job to make sure you are taken care of.

Also, you have the 2ND NB gathering dust and yet to be built even after voting for the same PDP and failed PDP promises and domination of the GEJ administration, they didn't build it and you did not complain.

Your useless lawmakers even join in to slash and denied Fashola his budget for the 2nd NB and you ibo people on NL celebrated all over the place because you hate Fashola when in fact you are the end loser and not Fashola.

Your people that are doing good are not based in iboland, they are mostly based in the SW and federal presence has little or nothing to do with it.

It's all about investments and investors can not invest in your restless and non peaceful iboland so i so many ways, you are the one killing yourself.

You reap what you sow.

Also, show us what your governors did with your taxes and allocations.

You can not have it both ways and you are your own worst enemy.

2. Even if he he bought the jet for $50 million, common sense should tell you that it really doesn't mean he paid that amount up front because such purchases are done with installment payments. Since you don't know and have no idea if this is or not the case, making such proclamations is highly foolish and irresponsible.

3. I am sorry - Dokpesi begs Tinubu

Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has accepted an open regret from chairman of DAAR Communication Plc, Chief Raymond Dokpesi.

https://www.naij.com/720473-read-dokpesi-tinubu-settle-n150bn-libel-suit.html
The PDP, TANs, ipobs and village elements have been peddling this rubbish since 2010 Dokpesi and AIT fell for the same rubbish and published it, but common sense and reality prevailed after Asiwaju slammed the clown with multi billion naira lawsuit and he quickly begged Asiwaju for forgiveness.

Your village is backsliding into the stone age while your village governors pocket your taxes and allocation, but Tinubu who is not even responsible for your miserable lives is your primary concern.

Obama didn't acquire a private jet after or during his tenure, neither did Bill Clinton,Tony Blair or David Cameron.Even Queen Elizabeth doesn't have a private jet.How come Tinubu who wasn't even a Director in Mobil Nigeria was able to acquire a VP-CBT Falcon private with price range of $35-$50 millions dollars. All You Nigerians defending corrupt politicians either in APC or PDP you will forever remain slaves.I went to school with most of the Governors and Senators kids, some where even my classmates, just know while you suffer in Nigeria, their children are spending are living like Kings in UK,Canada,Australia and USA with stolen funds.
Tinubu is a business man and he left public office over a decade ago so show us where in the constitution of Nigeria where it says former public officials should not engage in business activities or own private jests.

And of what relevance is the rubbish about obama not owning private jet? So you can not buy private jet because your neighbor doesn't have one? Abi what kind of backward mentality and logic is this.

You ipobs come up with the silliest rubbish ever.

I have been in the north long enough to know how things work here.
The name vigilante is just a smokescreen to cover the real intention behind the militia group.

Take the Hisbah corps for example.. they were created to inforce and police Islamic laws on Moslems but today they can arrest non Moslems and charge them based on sharia laws.

Mineral Resources in the north is free for all northerners to mine and sell without any consequences but its a taboo for a southerner to refine the oil in his backyard.

I know what vigilance is and they have the same thing in your village, peddle your hate mongering stories elsewhere or just confine them to your fellow ipobs.

If Obiano does the same thing, these same fulanis here will accuse him of forming an army. But when its them doing it, it is all about security of citizens. That is the ugliness of nigeria for you.
Peter Obi set up the same thing in Anambra and they have the same thing in eboyin, in akwa ibom, in Benue in Rivers, in Lagos and so on and they are still their with no government intervention.

The ugliness here are the ignorant and unintelligent people spreading rubbish on NL and the internet.

There is a governor in that state..We have senators both state and federal representing the constituencies these bad roads fall under. No body will ask them questions...There is a commissioner in charge of roads in the state, no body is bothering him. The only thing Nigerian youths know is to shout and blame the president and dance, drink alcohol, party, phuck and do nonsense. This is what the youths have been doing since we started the democratic government. They ignore the govt closest to them and shout president and federal government come and help us all the time, meanwhile, the governors, LG chairmen, councillors, commissioners and senators and enjoying free money... Dino Melaye is a perfect example, the useless man has up to 20 luxury cars but cannot point to any tangible or meaningful thing he has done for his people, yet he is always showing off on social media to rub his stolen wealth on the faces of his people and the mumu youths will still be hailing him.
Their useless state governments are very much aware that their youths are ignorant, unintelligent and emotional deficient so they just pocket their taxes and allocations, do nothing and in turn re-direct their people's attention and complaints to the FG as marginalization when in fact it's their own useless governors doing the marginalization.

Instead of them to ask their state governors what they have don with their allocated funds. They are busy chasing shadows
They monitor and focus more on Osun state than their own backward and deplorable villages and governors.

The Federal Govt will not see anything wrong in this because its a northern state.
If any state in the south tries this they will send the entire military to that state to kill innocent citizens.
Vigilance definition: The action or state of keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties.

The city has been plagued by crimes such as murders, kidnappings, mobile phone snatchings, rapes, molestations and robbery.

But all that appears to have changed with the introduction of the Anambra state vigilante group nearly two years ago. The head of the vigilante group in Onitsha is Godfrey Okafor.

When the new governor came in, Peter Obi, he started the Anambra vigilante group, which is known as ASV- Anambra State Vigilante. So we went for the training at Awka and we were trained under the commissioner of police

Vigilance group is a neighborhood watch group, not an army. They observe and report criminal activities and they are not armed in anyway.

And they have the same thing in your anambra village.

Learn how to read and comprehend simple English words instead of peddling your ipob tribalism, hatred and bitterness on the internet.

So igbos so go ahead and continue living in a country where they are marginalized
In what way are you marginalized?

No tribe in Nigeria has more properties investment both in their region and outside their region more than d igbos..
You are marginalized, but according to you, you are doing better than the rest of Nigeria and you own everything in Nigeria.

Now, how are you marginalized if according to you, you own everything and you are doing better than everybody?

How do you reconcile both claims?

Or either you don't know the meaning of marginalization or you are lying that you are better than the rest of Nigeria.

Both claims don't go together so pick one and stop lying and quit making silly and illogical claims.

That's the problem with you people, you want us to believe that you are marginalized while at the same time also want us to believe that you are not because you own everything and you are above the rest of Nigeria.

You can not have it both ways.
