Quote from chris Neboh : ThisDay Newspapers

I give credit to the individual or group who decided to challenge the CRC action in court.
Our country will be great and our reputation will soar, when we follow the due process of law in addressing or redressing those issues that challenge our deepest emotions or beleifs, irrespective of whether they are secular or sacred.
On a lighter note, I think that it will not be a bad idea to join Mallam Facebook and Hajia Twitter as parties.

Talking about corruption I am beginning to think it is not restricted to Nigeria.

I watched a program on Dispatches channel 4 UK last night and what was revelead was shocking to say the least.

UK Ministers using their position to lobby for contracts, positions and changing laws to suit their financial backers.

I am beginning to think that worldwide leaders in high places and all corrupt. Forgive my rant, but when will we have honest people whose sole goal is to improve the lot of the common man.
But you could be rest assured that the contracts will be implemented.

To be fair on Nigerians, We don't see this a corruption, so far the JOB is done.

But here the contracts are lobbied for and the JOB are NOT done

We Igbos have warrior blood running through our vein. Of course there is some conflict among us, but it is quite minor. It just a blood feud that needs to be sorted out. Like the Hatfields and the McCoys of America.

PoliticsRe: Ex-gov's Wife Duped In London - Aide Absconds With N50m ! by deor03(m): 10:21am On Mar 21, 2010
Ayemokhia:
A mild drama played itself out on Tuesday night at the Hearthrow Airport when the wife of a former governor in one of the Southern states was duped of £200,000 (about N50m) by one of her aides.
It was gathered that the ex-governor's wife (name withheld) waited for over four hours at the airport to receive the said money from the aide, but was shocked when it dawned on her that the aide had absconded with the money.
Nigerian Tribune learnt that the aide had a day before her boss departed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, for London, been given the £200,000.00 for onward delivery before she played a fast one on the former First Lady.
The aide (name withheld) was said to have bought a Virgin Atlantic air ticket to London and had even checked in her luggage in the presence of the unsuspecting former first lady to convince her that the trip would be made immediately her boss board an earlier flight.
It was also learnt that the former governor’s wife
decided not to be on the same flight with her aide because doing so could arouse suspicion from security operatives at the airport which could lead to the checking of their hand luggage.
Sources at the airport told the Nigerian Tribune that no sooner had the erstwhile First Lady's aircraft taken off, than the aide reportedly cancelled her flight which was expected to take off a few hours after that of her boss.
It was further learnt that immediately the former First Lady arrived in London, her first port of call was their newly acquired mansion on Ashmore Road, where she hurriedly dropped her luggage and raced back to the airport for the aide whose flight was expected to arrive in a few hours.
Immediately the arrival of the aircraft was announced, the former First Lady was said to have stood at the arrival hall for several hours without seeing the aide.
She was said to have concluded plans to open one of the biggest fashion houses in the UK around Edgware Road with the money and had even commenced renovation works on the building before she was duped.
Nigerian Tribune gathered from sources in London that pressure from close friends and even relatives of the embattled former First Lady on her to report the development to the Metropolitan Police and its Nigerian counterpart was rebuffed.

The wife of the former governor was said to have immediately put a call through to her husband in Nigeria to inform him about what a source described as ‘the unfortunate development’.

This is pure useles journalism. A good example of beer parlour story.

There could have been 1001 people that fit into these scenarios ( Former first lady of a southern State' aide)

@Topic

I had 2 objectives before i left

1. Good Education
2. Improved Job ,possibly into management, based on the leverage

Of course i had to do odd job( Call center, not too odd though) to sponsor my self thru school. I left with the next available flight back to Naija after my dissertation; to contribute my own small quota in the development of our nation.

I Got back, and got a good management offer in a Telecoms firm.

Rise up against the Hausa and their Fulani overlords. Overthrow the shackles and join the south in peace and prosperity.

The battle lines are drawn and we the people of the south must unite and help our Middle Belt brethren!
The middle-belt prefer allliance with the core North, I guess

Okay many thanks people you have all been so so kind. Yesterday I gave him an ultimatum either me or the girl. He deleted her pictures immediately. While I was rejoicing that I finally had my man back guess who called his ex? This time he told her that he was with his wife and that he would appreciate if she stopped calling as it was straining our relationship. This morning I woke up to find an engagement ring under my pillow with my man unclothed on his knees lol he said I value you above all exes please marry me and join me in this journey called life. I cried was happpy but said I would think about it. I took the ring though but dint wear it but as soon as I get off work 2day am going to him to say yes. I have prayed and I do love him I was not even able to get a side gig cos am devoted to this man! Okay leemme finish work and go home! Thanks peoples best wishes in your relationships!
