Nobody is out looking for trouble but if and when trouble comes, we will give back 1 million times anything Nigeria throws at us. There was basically nothing extraordinary Nigeria military could do in the battle field aside the starvation of innocent women and children, bombing markets, hospitals, shooting at red cross and medical San frontier. Nigeria should pray hard that Russia, Egypt and Britain will come to their otherwise every body in Nigeria will surely suffer severe collateral damage.
OK. Since you're convinced everyone in Nigeria will feel the heat if war breaks out, while everyone in the SE streets are partying, you can as well start the offensive right away.

If Nigeria military allow themselves to be dragged into war against Igbos , they will become the butt joke of the 21st century.
If Biafra had unleashed the same hellish scorched-earth tactics as Nigeria—burning farms to ash, wiping out food supplies, bombing hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, clinics, and exterminating Red Cross and WHO teams trying to help—this war would have been a blood-soaked deadlock. But Biafra, inexplicably, showed mercy to a nation that deserved none. Ojukwu’s Cambridge education became his curse; he tried to wage a savage war with the ethics of a scholar, while Nigeria fought like devils with no soul. If Ojukwu had discarded diplomacy and fought like a true African warrior, not a Cambridge-indoctrinated idealist, the war would have been over in a month. Nigeria would have been reduced to rubble, its arrogance crushed. Biafra’s kindness was its fatal weakness.
The parameters present in 1967 are still there as of today. Nigeria will not wait for 3 years before blocking your food supply. The WHO and Red Cross can continue to feed millions of troublemakers if they can, but nobody will sell you food stuff from any part of the country.
You can't even last a month with heavy pounding from the military as of today.
Just avoid any trouble that'll draw your people the Nigerian Armed Forces. Enough said.

Hausa people na the biggest MUMU for Nigeria. Una go dey 5m Hausa and Fulani of 20k go be all the Emirs, Governor, Senator, alfa, HoR member, HOA member then they go arm their people in the bush to come kill you in your villages. Next election, una go still allow them do the same thing
Divide and conquer is the answer to your question.
Do you know these fulanis install their own sarkis in some places in the North, parallel to the indigenous ruler and the government will recognize their own ruler and not the traditional one? If the indigenes protest the situation, they'll use the armed forces to protect the sarki.
I witnessed this first hand in Bwari, Abuja. Right now, the Town has the Sagwari (Gwarinpa) and Sarki (Fulani). We all know the town belongs to the gwari people, but the government still recognizes the Sarki anyways.
The time a Sarki died, the gwaris were trying to prevent them from installing a new one, but they enjoyed government protection.
The day this country splits is the end of Fulani rule over the Core North

PoliticsRe: Abapower Increases Tariff: Band A MD2 is 241 per kWh, B And E Non MD is 145 by DeOTR: 10:55am On Jan 06, 2025
It's always normal for the Disco to degrade an area to the proper band to reflect their amount of power supply they received over a month. This is what AEDC does. We've been degraded to band B for over two months now because they couldn't meet up with 20hrs per day.
You can't charge people on band A tariffs without matching it with the expected supply. That'd be fraudulent. This is where NERDC should come in. Classifications is strictly on amount of supply an area actually receives, and not what the company feels they are able to supply. These guys should take note of this.

What N5trillion will get you in Nigeria will not be far from what the equivalent in dollar will get you in the US. If you doubt it, just research the prices of household commodities in the US and compare to what we have in Nigeria, you'll realize things are relatively cheap here.
You can argue that N5trillion is not much for 36 states and the FCT for a whole year, if we want develop, trying to convert it to dollars even when the respective state governments don't spend dollars is ridiculous.

PoliticsRe: Ekiti Governor's Daughter Weds In Ibadan Amidst Infrastructure Concerns by DeOTR: 3:22pm On Jan 05, 2025
EKITI001:
A recent wedding ceremony held in Ibadan for the daughter of Ekiti State Governor has sparked a heated debate about the state's infrastructure. The ceremony, attended by high-profile guests including the Vice President, governors, and senators, has raised questions about Ekiti's ability to host such events.

Mr. Sola Ogunlola, a prominent advocate for better Ekiti, pointed out the practical challenges of hosting such events in Ekiti, citing the state's lack of good roads and airport. "Which road would people use to access the state? How would private jets land?" he asked rhetorically.

Ogunlola's comments highlight the need for infrastructure development in Ekiti State. Instead of hosting the wedding in Ekiti, he humorously suggested that arranging a hall and transmitting the ceremony live from Ibadan would have been a more feasible option.

This incident underscores the importance of addressing Ekiti State's infrastructure challenges to promote development and facilitate events that can showcase the state's potential.

Has nothing to do with infrastructure. Ekiti has good road network. The thing is, every well to do Yoruba leader has some sort of link to Ibadan due to the fact that it was the headquarters of the western region.

PoliticsRe: BUA Refinery: Management dismisses 90% completion rumors. by DeOTR: 12:30pm On Jan 05, 2025
free2ryhme:
It’s easy to see why some might perceive updates like this as bordering on propaganda, especially when the progress doesn’t align with earlier expectations or rumors in circulation. Companies like BUA, given their significant role in Nigeria’s industrial development, have a responsibility to be crystal clear with the public.

Now, they’re saying the refinery isn’t at 90% completion but that things are "progressing steadily" and "on track." The question is, on track to what exactly? Without hard data or specific milestones, such statements can come across as vague reassurance rather than substantive progress.

People are naturally skeptical because they’ve seen too many grand projects that are announced with fanfare, hyped for years, and then fall short or vanish altogether. Nigerians have a long history of dealing with unfulfilled promises, especially in critical sectors like energy and infrastructure.

The part about "verifying information through official channels" is fair—misinformation can spread quickly. But at the same time, shouldn’t BUA and other big players take extra steps to ensure their communications are proactive and detailed enough to prevent speculation in the first place? False hope only breeds frustration when reality doesn’t meet expectations.

The real test will be when this refinery starts delivering the promised barrels of oil daily and strengthens Nigeria’s refining capacity. Until then, it's all about action over words.
BUA, a private company owes you explanation on their ongoing project?
