Family › Re: Why Do Most People Love Their Mother More Than Father? by DeRay98(m): 8:58am On Feb 01, 2017
Acidosis:
1. Reason is because majority hail from single, broken and separated homes.

2. Those who weren't separated have been induced by brainwashing messages from their mothers. Mumu kids too would believe every negative thing they hear about their fathers hook, line and sinker.

3. It is only in Nigeria people claim they love their mothers more. One would begin to imagine whether there are another sets of mothers they call "Mother-In-Law". Talk about the power of self-acclaimed love, selfish and self-centered love and brainwashing from infancy.
Una love una mama, but hate mother in laws. So much for the so called love.

Anyway, I love my dad and my mom equally. Mom played her role, same with dad, so they both deserve the good stuffs from a proud son.
My Diamond medal goes to you. You're the true son of your parents.
Small boys and girls posting rubbish.
Mothers in marriages were supposed to raise the kids and teach them how their dad loved them by working hard to provide their needs. His absence from home is mainly due to his hustling to make money for them and when he gets home he's too stressed to connect emotionally or frustrated with the battles outside.
Instead, for selfish reasons they feast on their connection with their kids and take advantage.
My mother never tolerated any negative attitudes from us towards our dad even in his absence. That was a loyal mother and faithful wife.
As for the single mothers out of wedlock, either during a relationship that had not been defined for marriage before pregnancy came, they push the blame on their boy friends but forget to admit their complicity in getting pregnant when they have not married.
Now, they feed their children with hatred against their kids father.
My sisters were raised by my mom to love and support their husbands they (4) have been doing just that. The seniors ones have helped their to succeed and become landlords, own cars and trained their kids.
Shame to mothers who take advantage of their role keep the children to themselves while the do not know that it's injustice to their fathers.

Politics › Re: Frank: Oyegun Plotting To Sack Tinubu, Atiku From APC by DeRay98(m): 8:20am On Jan 27, 2017
Afam4eva:
Timi Frank is fighting for life here. Oyegun wants to destroy his growing political career and he has to find away to get rid of him.
How do you mean "growing political career" Tinubu and Oyegun is older politically and otherwise?
Oyegun was an elected state govnor in 1993.
Timi is looking for attention and relevance which his connection withTinubu guarantees.
Tinubu is not having his way in controlling everybody the way he wants and that's not good for him.
This is the same way he and Fashola fought all through Fashola time in Lagos.
Being a political strategist doesn't mean everyone must answer to you. The party Chairman must be in charge and protect the President and the govt. In as much as Oyegun is the Chairman of the party he is doing his job and some people are not happy about it.
As for Atiku, he's allowed to dream on but he will never rule Nigeria.

[quote author=Alexk2 post=53098377]Stop saying what you don't know.. He wasn't exergerating. Most higher institutions as at then are providing almost free food and accommodation not to talk of many students who enjoyed exclusive scholarship as at then.

You see you na, its you who didn't understand what I wrote. I was only explaining the reason he was attracted to the school because of jollof rice and was because that was the luxury that undergraduate students and rich elite had access to. Other citizens couldn't afford rice frequently in a yr.
Christianity Etc › Re: Jollof Rice Made Me Go To UNN – Pastor Adeboye by DeRay98(m): 7:50pm On Jan 24, 2017
Those of you indomie generation on NL, who now eats rice every day have no idea that even till the 1980s rice eating was once or twice a year occasion, Christmas and new year days for millions of Nigerian families. So, Pastor Adeboye was exaggerating here.

AngelicBeing:
It is not a crime to enjoy your money but doing that in Nigeria openly in the club with the state of insecurity, kidnappings, unresolved murders is not right, whenever l come to Nigeria, l go on a low profile, l am careful, cautious of where l go, l avoid hanging out nor clubbing, l try as much as l can to be discreet, l rarely sleep in my personal house , l do all this for my personal safety.

A guy arrived few years ago from Switzerland, was eating somewhere at Ikeja, robbers entered and shot him dead, safety, caution, low -profile, dont open up to anybody, watch your back, watch where you eat, where you hangout, watch, watch and watch your environment & surroundings is the key and above all be prayerful to God because safety is in the hands of the LORD but that does not rule out the fact that we have to play our path and be careful, Rip to the guy..
You're right. I was in Nigeria this Dec to January, I stayed low profile and kept security caution everywhere. I did most of purchases through mobile transfer except for less than 10k.
Showing off your foreign connection in Nigeria is suicidal .

Even the coaches have accused NFF of corruption, yet the government doesn't see any reason to replace the NFF boss and restructure NFF.
Old people making decisions for the entire nation with their old brains like everyone in the country thinks old like them.
What a country.
You should know that the govt doesn't appoint and can't sack NFF officials otherwise FIFA will suspend Nig from international football.
The sports minister is appointed by the government but he can't interfere in the NFF affairs.

You 're right.
The poor turn out started in the early 90s when NFA corruption started gaining ground resulting in poor officiating, rigged matches, poor planning of Challenge Cup fixtures etc.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Football League Match In 1978. Throwback Photo by DeRay98(m): 10:33am On Jan 10, 2017
OP, this picture was the epic match btw up-rising Bendel Insurance of Benin (Underdog) and the almighty Enugu Rangers(giant). It was the final of the Challenge Cup.
Rangers had the legends like Christian Chukwu, Emma Okala, Alloy Atuegbu, Ifeanyi Onyedika, etc.
Bendel Insurance had unknowns like skipper Felix Agbonifo(now late), Khadiri Ikhana, David Adiele, George Omokaro, Peter Egharevba, Henry Ogboe (left footed terror), Francis Monidafe, Leotis Boateng, Anthony Oviawe etc.
It was a "David vs Goliate" match and typically "David Bendel Insurance stunned Goliate, Enugu Rangers" 3:0.
And Rangers fans said "na medi"i.e otumokpo.
Just because they thought Rangers was unbeatable.

this is it bro, I say you are talking base on social media. I know them so much. lucky stole but the money oshiomole stole will make lucky a pocket picker. what was d allocation entering Edo state when lucky was governor and when oshiomole entered ? esama was ready rich before they even give birth to oshiomole and wealth flow through the family before lucky stole out of greediness but things were better in his days compare to thief oshiomole.do you know Edo is the 2nd most indebted state in Nigeria and what does it have on ground to show for it? do you know airport road in Benin is the most expensive road is sub Sahara ? make i rest abeg..my guy sentiment apart which industry or company did oshiomole build and how many workers did he employ for 8 years? but he empowered cultist n agbero because he knew edo people no longer have lv 4him..the igbinrdion family is rich home and broad ,esama has made a name for himself way back even before oshiomole was learning tailoring . the igbinedions have companies in Edo that employ people and pay them,e.g kada plaza, kada cinema, iginedion university, independent television and radio, igninedion secondary and primary school etc. do you know oshiomole have airline in cape Verde where his wife came from ? do you know his place in auchi? my guy leave matter... we all know lucky brought him and the iginedion made him governor.so all those insult u see Na for paper n deceive people, if you see where opposition parties n rival dey drink beer today, u go shake head...
Igbinedion started well, used bank loans to build his empire but wrecked all the companies and the banks that gave him loans he didnt pay back. Where are his companies today?
He only wants to get his kids back in govt to use Edo state's resources like they did in Lucky 8yrs waste of Edo state.
Lucky denied Edo youths employment by blocking AIT, Raypower and other stations from opening in Benin just to protect his father's ITV and IR.
Many private stations are now in Benin and create extra jobs for Edo youths.
Edo North and Auchi axis had long been marginalised in development and politics. That Oshiomhole did massive development in that area of the state after decades of negligence should be applauded and if you have issues with that you have problems in reasoning. Establishing a state University in his home town is a massive boost to Edo state. Making Edo the first only state with 2 state universities being also the first state from Bendel to start a state University in Nig.
The university is not his personal property or investment but Edo's. Universities employs thousands of workers across a broad spectrum of jobs and specialisation, skilled and skilled labour. It's creats jobs for people and from the govt.
I have been in Benin in the last 2 wks and every major road in the Benin City across the ancient city was not only tarred but qualitatively constructed or rehabilitated beyond what Edo has ever experienced after the days of Ogbemudia. The roads before now where terrible and delays and damages to vehicle. Only the suburban areas needs of the city now needs to be done and these have never been done by any govt in the state.
Pls, done put Oshiomholes administration any where near Igbinedions administration.
I was born, raised and educated in Benin City and i have coming around yrly to 6monthly in the last 8yrs and i have the difference in both govt's work.
On roads in Benin City alone, Oshiomhole scored A+, Education infrastructure in Benin City, he scored A+.

Nigerian youths never comprehend a story before attacking. The question you should ask is, did the priest and the association that invited him invade the town and people's houses to pick out these fetish things and burn or did the owners and shippers voluntarily brought them out to destroy these items?
If its the owners and shippers who voluntarily brought them for destruction then those who are insulting the priest are fools.

Op., you asked a valid question but lots of Nig folks here are of the generation of " Lecturers sorters and blockers", not merit believing hence, only a few will answer you.
Most states schools were created for political reasons and admissions are generally based on connections, blocking, sorting and money power. So, if these brought you in, survival is also by sorting.
Lots of young Nig folks think education is about certificates and such states school accentuates that terrible mentality. All you get from such system is "Beans graduates " nothing in their brain.
