You cannot have thieves, terrorists, kidnappers, cultists, and all sorts of criminals holding sway and expect development. That, sadly, is the reality of nd.
Must we be together? Is there anything sacrosant about Nigeria being one country? Why must I remain in a marriage that I don't even want?

I wrote a piece something ago on this forum that every region going their separate ways will bring better development to each of the regions.

We are better staying apart. When we are apart, the north will be happy, the yorubas will be happy, biafran will be happy, Niger Delta will be happy and Middle belt will be happy.

We are happy separated, we are sad forced together.
PoliticsRe: Mustapha’s Memoirs: Will Reveal How Abacha, Abiola Died, Says Al-mustapha by Dereformer(m): 8:08am On May 31, 2016
centvin008:
Challenges Obasanjo to public debate …Says Yoruba leaders, except Oba Tejuosho, deceived MKO
By Ikenna Asomba LAGOS—Former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, yesterday, said he would soon reveal how his boss and the acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief Bashorun MKO Abiola, died. Disclosing that Abacha and Abiola’s deaths were from same source, Al-Mustapha said he would make the comprehensive revelation in his new book, Mustapha’s Memoirs, which, according to him, is still in the works. Al-Mustapha, who addressed journalists in Lagos yesterday, on a number of issues relating to his 15-year travails in detention, said Abiola and Abacha were very good friends before some fifth columnists caused disaffection between them. He said: “For instance, when Chief MKO Abiola was in prison, many notable Nigerians visited him. They will visit him in the morning, and when they come back to the Villa in the evening to see Abacha, they would say a different thing entirely.
On video
“Unknown to these notable Nigerians, particularly notable Yoruba personalities, who visited Abiola, their visits were recorded on video. I did the video recording without their knowledge. “These people would visit Abiola and come back to tell government a different thing about him.
These same people would still go and tell Abiola a different thing about government. They are on video. The agencies of government have these videos evidence. “These same people told MKO Abiola never to accept any compromise or negotiations. They advised him never to come back home without his mandate
. All these things are on video. “Of all the Yoruba leaders, only Oba Tejuosho told MKO Abiola the truth: to accept the conditional bail and go home. “Only Oba Tejuosho told MKO Abiola that Abacha was his friend, urging him to reconcile with Abacha who was ready for reconciliation. It was Oba Tejuosho who told MKO Abiola that he still had the goodwill and would win if he re-contests after Abacha. “What killed Abacha is what killed MKO Abiola. But I would reveal that after my court case, still at the Supreme Court. I would publish a book which has three volumes— the Mustapha’s Memoirs, which will tell what happened under Abacha and how he died.” On Abacha loot still being returned to the country from abroad, 18 years after his death, Al-Mustapha said he was shocked the first time he heard of Abacha’s loot. He added that most of what was today known in the media as Abacha’s loot were mere media campaigns aimed at smearing the late Sani Abacha’s image by local and international persons he stepped on their toes while he was Head of State. …
killer squad
Also, Al-Mustapha reiterated his call for a public debate, where former President, Chief  Olusegun Obasanjo, would come to substantiate claims in his infamous 18-page letter that he (Al-Mustapha) was contracted to head a killer squad of 1,000 snipers for former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, ahead of the 2015 general elections. Al-Mustapha debunked insinuations that the ex-President, Jonathan, interfered with court process to facilitate his release from prisons, to enable him (Al-Mustapha) help train the ‘killer squad’ or procure Jonathan’s success in the North during the last election. Al-Mustapha said, ab initio, he had no case to answer but for the plots of his persecutors to see him eliminated because he stepped on their toes while he served as the Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, adding that the appellate court acquitted him when it determined that he had no case to answer on all the charges levelled against him.
‘Obasanjo’s had his day’
He said: “Nobody contracted me to catch 1,000 mosquitoes under the Jonathan administration, let alone human beings. I am Al-Mustapha. I have my background away from the propaganda peddled by the likes of Obasanjo. “Obasanjo has had his day. I am doing my investigation and I have discovered so many things as to what made him (Obasanjo) make such allegation. I have it. I will release it very soon and that is why I have challenged him to an open debate. “Obasanjo is my senior in the force; he was a former Military Head of State, but when issues of law and rights of man are being discussed, definitely equality comes to the fore. “You cannot put an allegation against your junior because you are a senior, and you believe the junior would keep quiet. No, I would not. That would amount to ignorance. I am not ignorant about our laws. “I challenge Obasanjo to an open debate so that he can substantiate his allegations before the whole world; but he is yet to oblige the challenge. “Thank God a new government is here today, where he (Obasanjo) can bring up the issue, requesting it to investigate and, if there is any contract between Jonathan and I to catch one single mosquito, I want to say that I am guilty and want to be tried.”

2. You can never achieve one thousand more promise without a life of obedience. Deuteronomy 1:11

3. God needs to be engaged and acknowledged to experience His leading for financial provision.

PRACTICAL STEPS

1. Build a vibrant and sensitive spiritual life. Romans 8:6

2. Make a commitment to acknowledge concerning your financial dealings. Pro 3:1-6

3. Make a commitment to obey whatever God tells you about your finances. Isaiah1:19

Hebrews 7:5

5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Hebrew 7 : 12

12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Tithe is no longer necessary in the new testament and that is why Jesus never preached tithe.

Again, the normal church offering I give every Sunday is enough to give my pastor a modest life style. If he intends to live lavishly, build a

university, have fleet of cars, have houses and chains of investment abroad, then other MUMU should finance it via tithe.

You have a point but i hate the fact that you people blame us for everything. This thread is about Yoruba and Ijaw NDA, see how your brothers storm the thread to denigrate the Yorubas, there was an open Lagos Epe indigene forum of ours on facebook, you wont believe some Ibo people joined the forum and start telling us our land is no mans land bla bla bla. The mod was forced to delete them and private the forum. On this forum, an Ibo guy once said Tinubu is responsible for the rot in Abia, why blame us for everything.

There is Abia, Imo and Enugu thread and you cant see any Yoruba on that thread but just check our past SW commonwealth thread and the Ibadan thread, your brothers were all over it trying to derail that thread. I am Yoruba first before a Nigerian ( Nigeria is even my 2nd country by citizenship), we can stand on our own and its the fact. Make everybody bear hin papa name. God bless you.
Thank you so much. I am happy you recognised just like most of your brothers and sisters that you are yoruba first.

Me i am an Igbo man first. An hausa man is hausa man first, ijaw man is ijaw first, itsekiris are itsekiri first.

You see why we are better staying separate.

Believe me, the south west will be a great country if you guy go your separate way. Same for igbos, same for hausa/fulani, same for others.

Now think about this, why are we not encouraging ourselves to go our separate ways or encouraging those who want to if that will bring better development to all concerned?

Let me have your opinion on this.

permit me to digress a little from the subject of my earlier post on this thread.

I watched the Nigeria - Biafran Hostilities posted by someone (whose username i have forgotten) on a thread about the DSS embarrassment of Ikedife and Utomi. I am not so sure.

After watching the video, I cannot but salute the courage, the determination, and the might of our great biafran soldiers who died in other to remain alife.

In deed, they died for something.
In the words of jack bauer in the movie 24 ' it is better to die for something than to die for nothing'

My father who happen to fight for his fathers land told me not to blame them for going to war. According to him, the war was practically inevitable at that time.

He also told me not to blame Ojukwu for the war. That he (Ikemba) did what any leader would have done.

According to my father, what was in the mind of every Biafran youth in 1967 was war because our brothers and sisters were being killed in their thousand in the north.

My father told me to my surprise that Ojukwu did not want to go to war. The biafran youths who could not stand and watch their flesh and blood being butchered in the north demanded 'Ojukwu nye anyi egbe' that is Ojukwu give us guns.

Biafra lost the war. But they have made their point. My father told me, if biafrans did not fight, we would have been in a dipper shit in the Nigeria of today.

I remember an event that happened during my primary school. I was in elementary four at that time. There was a boy in my class who derives joy in beating me.

The boys name is Kenneth. He was a bully. He fancied beating me of all the boys and girls in my class and i feared him the way women fear snake.

The boy was my nightmare. Each i remember going to school i will feel bad because of Kenneth.

Then one day, a very faithful day, I was with one of my friends, he was telling me about the karrate film he watched called The drunken master.

I was still listening to this 'epic' film when Kenneth the bully came from behind and gave me a very hard knock on the head.

That was all. I could not take any of that again. I was prepared to die. I fought him. I fought like i have not done before. I told my friend never to separate the fight. And he did not.

After the fight, though i was defeated, Kenneth became tactically afraid of me. My boldNess grew. Me that hardly talk in class became a talkactive. I shout down at Kenneth at any slightest opportunity and he never did anything again to me until we left primary school.

While i do not support any form of violence, it is important to understand that there are times when one must fight. Otherwise you become slave in your own father's house.

My only blame to Biafrans was fighting at a wrong time. But then my father told me it was inevitable at that time.

A worthy soldier knows when to push, when to pull, when to resist, and most importantly when to run away.

Ojukwu, hate him or love him, remains the greatest Igbo man of all times.

He is loved by his people even after death.

To show their love for Ojukwu, his people gave him a worthy burial that no man born of a woman has received on the planet earth.

I was in Nnewi at that time. It was awe inspiring. Even his enemies could not but say that he is in deed a great man.

Now, each time i read about the animosity and the fight between the Igbos and the Yorubas, I always tell myself that the north is indeed playing their cards well.

They (the north) understood that to maintain their hold on power these two tribes must not see eye to eye.

What pains me the most is that Igbos and the Yorubas do not seem to understand this.

My closest friend Seun is a Yoruba man. Each time i visit lagos, I stay in his house. He and his family have been to my house in the east a couple of times.

Each time I bring up the issue of the level of hatred between our people, he always tell me that some persons are a gaining from it. And would do any thing to ensure that their is no peace between the two major tribes.

I believe my friend, but I blame the Igbo and the yoruba the more.

Have you ever wondered why, the Igbos, the yorubas, the itsekiris, the ijaws, the middle belt tribes want resource control but the hausa/fulani will have non of that?

Yet what they(hausa/fulani) want prevails.

Have you ever wondered why the Igbos, the yorubas, the itsekiris, the ijaws, the idomas etc want state police, regional autonomy, a sort of confederal arrangement, yet the hausa/fulani would not have any of that. Yet what they want prevails.

Are we in the south and middle belt cursed? Are we under a spell? Are jinxed?

To be continued.
