CareerIf You Think You Know IFRS Answer This And Get N1000 MTN Card by Dereformer(op): 8:06am On Nov 25, 2016
A loan was advanced to a related party at an interest rate less than the market rate. At the inception of the loan, it was fair valued in line with IAS 39 and IFRS 9. The loan tenure is 3 years.

The loan has been rescheduled and a moratorium period of six months granted after 1 year 7 months into the loan period.

Now the question, what is the effect of the rescheduling on the fair value and subsequent accounting for the loan? Does the loan need to be fair valued again bearing in mind that FV is a function of time?

Mr. Man,

Please, I beg you in Jesus name, don't say what you know nothing about. Mind you, this is legal and NUC has nothing to do about it. NUC is in Nigeria and MHESR is in Benin Republic. Do they mesh in any wayhuh

Please, respect yourself sir and don't let us fetch you out. Just simply mind your business the way am minding my own business.

Thank you for understanding me and I think you are matured enough to know what I mean and am talking abouthuh.

Please dont fetch me out. Henceforth, I will mind my business. grin grin grin grin

Timossa:
Hi sir,

Get it straight. Its not a 6 months Degree. We convert your HND results into a Bachelor Degree which could take 1 - 6 months if you pay up and finish your project within those months.

HND is 4/5 years while B.Sc is also 4/5 years. Hope this helpshuh

The conversion programme is not for everyone.

Thanks sir.
Please tell me what the content of the transcript, emanating from the conversion, will be.

I think its all about the money.

This is pure fraud as someone has earlier stated. NUC must identify those involved in this.

Timossa:
Hi sir,

It's better you calm down and get educated. For your masters, your University where you did your B.Sc will not give you your transcripts by hand, they will send them to your university where you want to run your master programme.

Transcripts, most of the time are kept in the university or institute archives for documentation, not to be given to the students because they may manipulate it.

Transcripts are more important to universities to your Degree certificate, becuase they can never be forged. That is why they request for it when you are going for your masters.

So, who is misleading whohuh I am not a baby in this and its my job as an Award Winning Educationist (CEO).

Best wishes sir.
I pity anybody that will toe the line you are presenting.

Transcripts are not given to the students- agreed.
Tell me what will be the content of a transcript from your six months degree.
CareerRe: I Want To Be A Lecturer But Have Only HND, Advise Me by Dereformer(m): 12:05pm On Nov 23, 2016
Timossa:
The duration could be between 1 - 6 months. It all depends on how fast you pay for your conversion and how soon you finish up your project.

Mind you, with us, you don't have to sit for lectures, write exams, waste unnecessary resources.

The conversion fee is N250,000 (Two Hundred, Fifty Thousand Naira) only. And your form is N10,000. That is all.

For more info: email us at : universitinfo@gmail.com

Best wishes.
Please stop misleading people in this forum.
After your 6 months Bsc, what transcript is he going to present if he decides to do Msc.

The picture you created is too glaring to ignore.

Learning a wonderful thing. Whenever great minds meet, there is a rob off. I never knew MBA has nothing to do academically. B.Sc, here I come!
my advice to you is this, try as much as possible to finish with a first class. It will not be easy but it is achievable.
First class is the only thing that will compensate for doing Bsc at this age.

I was able to make a first class because I was determined. in the early part of the program, I made sure I scored the maximum points.

Remember that I did HND in accounting, so from level 200 to 400 I maintained a cgpa of 4.89. my worst result was in 500l. Finally, I finished with 4.7 as earlier stated.

As at today, there is hardly any company I apply to that doesn't invite me for interview.

The only point of disagreement has always been during negotiations.

Currently, I have over 14 years experience in accounting function.

My only, deficiency which I want to start working on is lack of good comportment during public speaking. The reason is quite obvious, I was a book worm during my poly and uni days.

I hardly socialise. A friend has introduced me to toastmasters and I want to check them out this weekend in their Ikeja branch.

finally, you won't regret going for Bsc.

please, ignore my typo. I was in a hurry while typing this using my phone.

U saying u started from scratch? Why don't u try DE Then!
I did Part time because I was working. In Anambra State University, part-time is 5 years if you are coming in with waec. For people that have ND, NCE, HND, they're given direct entry to start from 200L.

So, I spent 4 years in the pursuit of Bsc and it more than paid off today.

Thank you for all the beautiful insights so far.

What if I go for MBA?

If I research and write about business and investing, can I secure a position in the academia - May be in the general studies department?
Four years ago, I was in your shoes.

I had an HND(Distinction) in accounting and ACA.

The discrimination was just too much. My friend told me the painful truth. He ask me to go back to school for a Bsc in Accounting.

I thought of this, with children school fees to pay, family to feed and cloth and other important financial responsibilities to meet, how could I possibly add another responsiblity of paying university school fees for myself. It wasn't an easy decision.

In 2012, then i was 38 years, i took a bold step that is later to be one of the important decisions of my life. I enrolled for a Bsc accounting in Anambra state university.

It was not an easy journey, but the support i got from my wife made things a whole lot easier. I completed the program in December 2015 after 4 years of struggle. I collected my statement of result in September 2016. The good thing is that i finished with First Class (honours).

Today, as I am typing this, I am gainfully employed with my Bsc result. By next year, God willing, I will start my MSc in Accounting.

Sir, the truth is that you need a Bsc if ever you want to be a lecturer. MBA is not an accademic masters and as such is not recognised in the academic environment.

In my class during the Bsc days, I had a coursemate who is older than me and who came in with the following qualifications: HND, PGD, MSC, ACA, ACIT. Yet he came back to do Bsc.

On a final note, NEVER LET AGE STOP YOU FROM ACCOMPLISHING A NOBLE IDEA.

Car TalkRe: Never Buy A Nigerian Used Car by Dereformer(op): 4:36pm On Nov 16, 2016
VeeBabs:
@OP: You are neglecting the fact that there are Nigerians who actually take very good maintenance care of their cars. And when they put up such cars for sale, DEALERS fall over themselves to snatch 'em up very quickly, so they could "touch them up" and resell them to you as TOKUNBO.

Yes, in case you didn't know, not all "tokunbo" are actually foreign used. Ever wondered why dealers don't like buying cars that have been "etched" with their registration numbers into their windows and mirrors and door handles and front grilles and headlamps?

It's bad for their resale effort!

Also, if you want to slightly reduce the likelihood of your car getting stolen, simply etch or engrave your registration number into your windows and headlights.

Car thieves would be discouraged from "moving" your car, because its resale value would be much less than otherwise. They prefer stealing "clean" or unmarked cars.

Edit: do you know how many car dealers have contacts staging round-the-clock "surveillance" on VGC, Lekki Phase I etc? They are standing-by to snatch up any car that is put up for sale by residents of such areas, because they believe that the well-to-do owners must have taken excellent care of such vehicles.

So, tell me, are such cars not also "Nigerian used"? You need to source your cars from the right places.

I know someone in Ikoyi whose uncle is about to sell a 2013 Range Rover Sport. It's "Nigerian used", but even your N10 million won't get you near his door. Car was serviced and maintained by the company from day of purchase till date. Warranty still very much active and valid.
How can one guard against buying a nigerian used car in the name of tokunbo.
Car TalkNever Buy A Nigerian Used Car by Dereformer(op): 5:43pm On Nov 10, 2016
Buying a nigerian used car is like walking into a death trap.

A friend of mine who recently acquired a Nigerian used toyota camry is now regreting ever going near that car.

When they tell you it is one month used please run.

why would an individual buy a car, use it for one month and then set it up for disposal?

the answer is clear, there is an undelying problem.
Christianity EtcRe: What's Your Say About TB Joshua's Prophesy On US Election Now The Result Is Out? by Dereformer(m): 10:38am On Nov 09, 2016
OnomeP:
My point basically is this: that things change. When God gives a vision - as T B Joshua said he saw - it can be changed. It did in King Hezekiah's case. I bet a lot of the people saying all the things they are saying now against him didn't even watch the video. I watched the video and TB Joshua said he saw in a vision Hillary Clinton winning the election narrowly. He said that some other prophets had prophesied a Trump victory and that that wasn't necessarily wrong. That at the time they saw that, it was on Trump's side but it had shifted Hillary Clinton's way. I believe there was some divine intervention that changed things between the time he saw what he saw and election day.
Guy your stupidity is incorrigible.

A preacher one said those who don't pay tithe will go to hell. I searched my bible and i didn't see any where it is written.

Look, If tithe is important or a prerequisite for God's blessing, Jesus would have stated so in the bible.

PoliticsRe: Where Did Nigeria Gets It Wrong? A Big Question For All by Dereformer(m): 5:48pm On Nov 07, 2016
IamEntropy:
There are plenty of country in disunity but have a very strong economy because they put aside their grudges and work together
States like california which is looking to secede from the US because it is has the 5th largest Economy in the world also Texas.
Now, if you ask where Nigeria got it wrong, i'd say it all started from 1960.

The thing about independence is that we don't know it's true value which is why corruption started as early as 1960 in Nigeria
By an igbo woman (i forgot her name).

If we had Shed blood and sweat to win our independence, we will know the true value and protect it like our children's life depended on it.
We were given this gift called independence at a platter of gold, (like a spoilt child)which is why we misuse it till date.

Consider this illustration:

A young lad is given $1billion dollar and left on his own to do whatever he likes (Freedom). He never suffered for that money, neither did he struggle for it or shed blood for it or watch people die for it. So why should he care? Why should he invest the money? It's normal for him to misuse this gift.

The young lad in this story is "Nigeria"
The $1bill is our economics worth
And the freedom is our independence.

Look at the corrolation between countries that actually fought to get their independence and how their well to do their economy is.
If I am to score you based on the point you raised, I will give you 12%. The guy above you made more sense.

The unitary system of government Nigeria is running is killing it. There is no reason why states must assemble in abuja every month for a paltry sum of money.

Every region in Nigeria should be given opportunity to control their resouces. Untill thios happens, Nigeria will be way behind other countries.
