I prefer we take Jesus Christ seriously since He is after all the Word of God and our opinions are nothing but lies where the Truth of God is concerned. So when in Luke 20 vs 34 -36 He said that our marriage is of this world and not of His Kingdom, it is in our interest that we believe what He said rather than try to rationalize it in some way that diminishes His claim. After all the Kingdom belongs to Him and He knows best where it regards what belongs in it , and what does not.

Matthew 6 vs 25 -33 doesn't in fact say we should seek what we eat or drink. Instead Jesus Christ teaches that we are to trust God for that which we will eat and drink, believing that God will provide it all, even more than He does for all His other creatures.

And if you continue on, Jesus Christ also declared that after fining the Kingdom and Righteousness, that God Himself will add other things to us - we don't need to seek other things first to have them added by Him.

Is it possible you have been reading your Bible left-to-right or something cause you keep misconstruing what is clearly expressed in it.

Dear Nairalanders,

My name is Kayode Sherif, I'm a 300L student of a state university in the country studying a 5 year course.

Last year, (during the lockdown).... I was hell broke(so broke I couldn't even feed)

I had heard of this online business, but I didn't have any guidance on how to go about it, AND I didn't even have money to buy the course available for it.

I decided I was going to find a way to buy the course, so I took a job as a fuel station attendant (I worked there for 6 months) I saved up some money.

It was as if nothing was working "I was desperate! I wasn't making money."

But I kept on...

Finally this year, I got the breakthrough. I got my first payment.

Fast forward to today, I have been making at least 250k in a month but I can't keep up with my school.

I'm thinking of terminating my school but I don't want to make a decision that will affect me for the rest of my life so I'm seeking for your honest opinion.

Should I quit school and focus more on my online business?

How has religion or morals helped Nigeria to succeed? Youths in ‘immoral countries’ like Canada and Netherlands (where weed is legal) are assured of jobs as soon as they are done with universities. That way, they would not have time for crime and other questionable activities. Is it not better to live in such country than stay in one where you pray for ‘divine favour’ to get a job simply because there are scarcely any jobs? Lmao.

You people are funny. When you talk about morals in Nigeria, the question is where is it? Is it because we put up a front so much? Is that why anyone thinks Nigeria is holy? Countries that legalise LGBT, weed, and abortion are doing well and succeeding, their citizens know what good life is and are grateful to God. It’s we, the poorest of the poor, who keep yapping about righteousness and morals. Nonsense.

As far as my God is alive, Nigeria would legalise marijuana one day as marijuana is not the reason people are being killed in the north or the reason why Nigeria has a youth unemployment percentage near 50%. Maybe if youths found it easy to have jobs, they would be less pressured to try drugs in the first place. You ever think of that? No you don’t. You’re to stupid to form a thought.

My younger who is age 20 has been battling with a sickness for over a year now.
His body is swelling up.
Eyes, neck, legs and stomach. They all appear puffed.
We have done all kinds of test and treatment, nobody has been able to diagnose the nature of the sickness.
There is no pain whatsoever, just swellings especially after a nap.
Also he sleeps more than usual.
There was a period it went down for like 3 months.
But now we are back to it again.
He is having difficulty in breathing because of the throat swellings
I will be attaching some of the drugs he is using.
And will be available to answer questions.

Yes it is very possible. You have to understand why people get possessed by spirits in the first place. I think sin is what leaves you open for evil spirits. Being born again does not make you sinless. I think we all sin and that is why we should every now and then cleanse our hearts. Ask for forgiveness and even sometimes do personal deliverance to keep ourselves clean so evil does not find a way.

The truth is the moment someone becomes born again by repenting of his/her sins and accepting Christ as Lord and saviour, the Holy Spirit enters into that person and from that moment no demon/evil spirit can enter into such a person. The only time that can happen is when the person backslides and leaves Christ to go back into the world which now gives room for Satan and evil spirits to operate.

Only people of the world can be possessed by evil spirits.

Sometimes, we admire some things about the opposite sex and we wish for a chance to try some things they do just to know how it feels.

I had this conversation with some of my neighbors (three men) on which addiction was hardest to quit of womanizing, drinking and smoking.


My view was that it was womanizing, but they saw things differently from me and said it was smoking. They said it was easy to quit womanizing once the time for quitting comes, but the addiction to smoking was something else.


I had never smoked a cigarette or the likes before so I couldn't tell how difficult if was to quit, but I had a friend who was once a chain smoker, but once he repented and surrendered his life to God, that was it. The urge died instantly! It was so weird that a friend of his who knew him very well, said if my friend could quit smoking, that he also could quit the habit, because he knew how deep my friend had gone into it, that he himself was like a learner in the act.

That was perhaps what gave me the impression that it may not be that hard to quit the habit but my neighbors begged to differ.


I expect that there are others who may see things differently from us, because I know and have had of people who drink to the point that they become seriously ill but are still not able to quit.


Some others it's addiction to sex or masturbation that has made them to become depressed to the point of wanting to commit suicide, because they find it impossible to quit even if they know it's destroying their lives.


Hard drugs is another strong one which has held many in serious bondage, as some go to extreme lengths to pacify the urge. One married woman started paying for it with her body, by having sex with the supplier, after she had wasted all her life savings on it and no longer had money to pay for it.


Hence it appears that it differs from person to person, as an addiction someone finds hard to quit might be easy for someone else, and vice versa, but what do you think it?
