This is another idiotic article spurred by tribal bias. I stopped reading the junk where it stated “agency purchased at the cost of $1.6 million for the personal use of Aviation Minister Stella Oduah”. Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians know the difference between “personal use and official use”.

0monnakoda: Have you seen the receipt. Old men WITH SENSE do not talk without FACTS or based on rumors.
If you government buys a bottle of coke for Ten million Naira and presents a "RECEIPT" will you say it is "INCOMPETENCE" ? Why not go and finish your fufu before it gets coldhuh
If actually the government paid Ten Million Naira for the bottle of coke and present the real receipts, it could be termed incompetence or wastefulness because a prudent government could have gotten a better bargain.

It is true that ninnies are human beings. You are a walking example of zombie. Granted the documents circulated on this forum regarded as receipts involved in the purchase of the two BMW cars, though could be forged by Oluwole experts, served as enough evidence to assume the transaction was fully documented.

emiye: i think the youthful exuberance fits ojukwu the most.

Ojukwu was a 29 year old boy, who failed to plan by making attempts to secede, when he was not prepared for the repercussion.

Gowon was more sensible to allow Awolowo dictate the pace of the war, and allow the war come to an end in the shortest of time. That war could have lasted for over a decade, if it was purely Gowon vs Ojukwu, the two were not fully matured.
Above crap is a rascal postulation from a fundamentally ill-informed troll.

Those whose benevolent spirit cracked their palm kernel for them should not forget to be humble. One of the drawbacks found among so-called Nigerians is their inability to be humble.

I am not off point by any means it is just you have woefully failed to see through the political cloud. MMIA has been a national disgrace for long while and the so-called delemomodu never took a picture but now.
The answer is trivial. Given the marginalization of the Igbos in Nigeria since the end of the civil war, the neglect of ala igbo in terms of investing federal naira/dollars, placing federal infrastructure in alaigbo, and the relegation of Igbos into the third class citizanry of Nigeria; Igbos can never find anything wrong with an Igbo official who takes anything, money, goods, or whatever, from the feds; this is simply equivalent to taking a piece of what is theirs, in their minds.

So I am told.

Do I sympathize with them because they are not partakers in the spoils of the civil war? dat one go be question wey jam answer.
Nothing from a Nigerian surprises me anymore. The above junk has earned the poster a place in the hall of shame reserved for intellectual midgets. Please expatiate who are the first and second class citizenry of Nigeria since you have publicly attested that Ndigbo had been relegated to third class citizenry of Nigeria.

I guess only in a cesspit such as Nigeria that a person from the so-called third class citizenry is the minister of aviation. Nigeria is clear description of people such as you who tend to arrogate err of relevance to themselves as in the case of assumed first and second class citizenry of Nigeria. Is it not a matter of shameful coincidence a country endowed with natural resources such as Nigeria can not produce a pin? I say so much for the first and second class citizenries of Nigeria bereft of acumen.

Do not forget there are two sides of everything under the Sun. Since it appears nitwits such as you seem to celebrate the spoils of the civil war, I guess it deserves another turn.

Ojiofor: Okorocha Is A Disappointment To Imo People – Anglican Bishop

Rt. Rev. Bright Ogu

The Bishop emeritus of the Anglican Diocese of Mbaise, Rt. Rev. Bright Ogu has launched a scathing attack on the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s administration, describing it as a disappointment to the people of the state.

Speaking to journalists at the second synod of the Diocese of Ikeduru, Imo State recently, Bishop Ogu lamented that Governor Okorocha ‘has disappointed many Imo people, including myself’.

He pointed out that many communities in the state had no roads and that those who had roads could no longer access them the governor had torn them open without constructing them.

In his words, “we’re seeing things happening– breaking down people’s buildings, breaking down people’s comfort and traditions; taking people’s land everywhere and building structures that cannot be finished. This cannot be said to be leadership.

“I don’t know whether breaking all the structures in government house, he will finish it before he goes because he has only one more year to go?”

The emeritus bishop said the governor was running the state as a one-man business, accusing him of not carrying him of not carrying the people of the state, including members of the state House of Assembly, along.

He condemned Governor Okorocha’s policy of stifling the state economy by not giving the youths job.

“I was sitting somewhere in the market the other day. I saw lots of graduates who have no jobs sitting somewhere discussing about the government. The former governor(Ikedi Ohakim) gave them job but this one came and took it from them by sacking them and now they have no jobs. They have become truck pushers and keke riders. Is that ideal?

“Even if we were told 10 or 20 years ago that a time shall come when graduates will not have jobs in Nigeria, i would not believe it. But, it’s happening here in Imo. One was crying two days ago that after eight years of graduation, no job. My children are part of it. So, we’re all victims”, he lamented.

Speaking on the recent declaration of Governor Okorocha to run for a second term in 2015, the cleric said it would not be possible for the governor to succeed the people had known that he had a “hidden agenda”.

He advised the people of the state to beware of the kind of politicians that come to their churches to solicit for their votes because “they come to the churches to deceive the people because Imo is a Christian and praying state”.

Rev. Ogu also condemned the governor’s defection to the All Progressives Congress(APC), saying the state had been unlucky with its governors.

According to him, the former governor of the state, Ohakim, dumped the Progressive Peoples Congress(PPA) which brought him to power and joined PDP and derailed.

“Now, our man(Rochas) has come in again. He came in with APGA and now he has derailed joining APC which is not the party that brought him into power. He has been thinking about the national level. If he was not able to take care of the state, how can he manage the national or federal level?”, he queried.

Smartgunna: The comments on this thread shows this country is a big train wreck. Nobody sees things objectively anymore. Its all gone parochially tribal. Why on earth would people come here to justify the actions of Madam minister rather than see it for what it really is: brazen corruption. At this rate anything these people do is justifiable to most nairalanders simply because the person hails from my own part of the country. The Rwanda experience means nothing to most of us.
If buying 2 armored vehicles in an uncertain economic climate(where most sane countries are embarking on cost cutting measures) isnt a clear case of economic waste and official corruption...then I will never know the meaning of the word. And before you tribal warlords start railing, I am from the same part of the country as she is!
I guess you know the meaning of word-corruption not to talk about the brazen too. If it took you this long to realize Nigeria is a mere reference point on a map, then Nigeria is in a worse shape than I thought.
Politics › Re: The Real Cost Of The BMW Bulletproof Cars by DerideGull(m): 1:57pm On Oct 19, 2013
Mister Dan: It is not everyday that you see a 760Li in Canada. For starters this top-shelf BMW
is $186,000 and easily pushes over $200K with some individual options. Then the
535 hp V12 twin turbo mill doesn't exactly sip gas considering it drains almost 17
L/100km in the city. We don't even want to get into maintenance and ownership of
a car that has over 60 computer modules on-board to control this über-technical
land yacht.
So, this car is not for everybody and the one we sniped in a parking lot north of
Toronto was definitely not your average 760Li.
At a quick glance, this might appear to be a regular 760Li that was finished in
Black Sapphire metallic but considering it was wearing euro plates from Bayern
Münich, we knew there was more to it. This particular car is the 544 hp F03 High
Security package which meets the new ballistic protection level VR7 designed to
resist all assault rifle attacks. The High Security package includes: run-flats, 6.0
cm bulletproof glass as well as a reinforced body and explosion-resistant
undercarriage that meets the higher VR9 standard. But it doesn't stop there, this
Presidential car also features a toxic gas sensor, that will immediately detect
poison gas attacks, rolls up the windows and shuts down all outside ventilation
until air quality is safe. Should there be a fire in the engine bay, the High Security is
also fitted with an under-hood extinguisher. Oh, and to rep your country there are
magnetic flag mountings on both front fenders.
All that extra gear means this German tank is hundreds of kilograms more than a
standard 760Li. However, BMW has compensated all of the suspension so it
doesn't handle like, well, a German tank. The power under the lid propels the High
Security to a top speed of 210 km/h and goes from 0-60 mph in 6.2-seconds!

I guess the ones bought by ministry of aviation are American Specification models. It might be a particular trim too.
Incoherency and incorrigible lies padded with political jingoism on the part of the Minister of aviation and NCAA

Lie 1: the media assistant to the minister affirm that the two vehicles were actually meant for the minister while NCAA is saying that the two vehicles are meant for operational purposes.

Lie 2: the BMW vehicles were bought during the tenure of Joyce, an Anambrarian, who was in an acting capacity as the DG of NCAA. Some useless fools on nairaland thought that Capt. Akinkuotu bought the vehicles. Useless tribalists.

Lie 3: Prior to Akinkuotu's appointment by GEJ, Pius Anyim and Stella Oduah frustrated his confirmation by the senate. They brought ethnic agenda to the fore by cementing the position of Joyce as Acting DG of NCAA. Under Joyce watch, over 200 Igbo men and women were transferred to NCAA. Illegal and unworthy AOC were issued to undeserving and unmerited persons. Safety and security of our airlines and passengers we'ree compromised. It was during the illicit tenure that Associated airline got its license renewed without following the laid down rules and procedures. When all the looting were perfected, akinkuotu was confirmed by the SSG and senate so that problems like these could be created under his watch. For the sake of our unborn children, Joyce and not Akinkuotu issued undue license to airlines.

Lie 4: immediately Demuren was removed, NCAA ceased to be autonomous. Immediately Demuren was booted out, Stella Oduah with her cronies with the help of Joyce empower herself with the power to license AOC to airlines. What does Stella Oduah knws about aviation and air law?

The achievements of Dmuren and Akinkuotu towers above that of Stella Oduah individually. Demuren started working professionally as aeronautical engineer long before Stella Oduah started her primary school. Akinkuotu started flying aircrafts even before Stella Joined NNPC. Some ethnic jingost should not use ethnicity to discard the achievements of these Yoruba fellows just because Stella oduah is in power.
Wow!!! Nigeria never experienced air misshapes when the so-called Demuren led NCAA. Why are some Nigerians diabetic liars?

Anyone that has ever defended this absurd purchase needs to have his/her head examined

And for those saying it belongs to the Aviation Ministry, kindly show me one car that any minister ever used, which was passed on to the next: Will the cars automatically evolve into newer models on their own when Stella's gone and the model becomes outdated?

Are they trying to tell me that the other ministers in GEJ's cabinet drive around in armored cars which government statutorily made provisions for?
